I find it a bizarre flex. It is like they bought a BMW and live in council housing. I also find it bizarre that they flex that he bought it in cash. Why? No one cares if you bought a car in cash, with payments, or took a lease. In many situations, leasing is better than buying. I do not know much about Chery but if the car deteriorates quickly in the Middle East, leasing for a year or two might be much better.
As far as food, Salah seems to be picky and Chantal only likes fast food. I do not think if they had more money they would go to high-end restaurants; they would just order more fast food.

She had that "devil-may-care" (i.e., LYING) tone of voice in the last live. She's trying to suppress a rage.
I happened upon an old reaction of when she was going to Montreal on a regular basis early in the Nader era. She was supposed to be broken up with Nads, but it was posted in this thread that he may have gotten a gig doing construction in Montreal (before she was supporting him full-time). It was thought at the time that she was just going to get drugs, but on hindsight I think she was going to get drugs AND bring them to Nader at his job site. She had that same tone of voice and the same going-to-see Nader getup (heavy on the hair fibers and Nader-friendly clothing...like the yellow dress).

With the talk of FFG planning to buy a house in cash, I think it’s very important to her to flex that Salad bought the car in cash.
There’s a certain stigma around financing (anyone can do it, really… as long as you don’t have multiple bankruptcies) and rich people can just walk into a dealership and pay the full amount “in cash” for whatever they want.
She’s trying to maintain that she’s both successful and a kept woman. So admitting to leasing or financing communicates that they don’t just have a wad of money available for this purchase. Meanwhile, her nemesis is over here nearing the ability to buy a home outright.

The courthouse marriage video proved nothing. It showed them going into the building, and afterwards, Salah holding a rolled up paper folder. Maybe if it was as important as a proof of marriage, Salah would treat said document with more respect?
Chinese use a totally different alphabet, and English letters are seen as beautiful or exotic. However, not being used to them can result in misunderstandings or mistakings. The car is called Chery, and it's lettered visibly in the car's rear. The intent may be for locals to mistake it for Chevy, because who isn't impressed by a Chevy?

She must have gotten tremendously bad news when she had her last checkup (for whatever reason she had a checkup). Even finding out she had an enlarged heart and fatty liver didn't put her off her fast-food feedings. Being diagnosed with diabetes the first time only put her off for a few days, and it will be the same this time.
Salah should put her on a plane to Canada as soon as possible. Getting rid of a beached whale corpse is going to be neither cheap nor easy. (I'm sure all of the cost will end up on Smee, but it will still be an inconvenience for him.) I bet Gene didn't even have to pay for Jen's disposal.

I think she keeps failing the medical part of her residency application.
There is no way she suddenly cares about her health. She was diagnosed with diabetes before and took medication for all of 5 minutes before memory-holing the whole thing.
