2023 Israel-Palestine Armed Conflict

Can someone please explain to me how liberals can support river to the sea shit? Are they just antisemtic or dumb as fuck?
Both but mostly the latter, IMVHO. They also hate "colonialism", despite the fact that literally EVERY SINGLE colonial nation they hate did a better job of being a functional civilization than the bongo-pounding savages they replaced.

Trouble in Washington, D.C.

IL Rep. Sean Casten evacuated from DNC HQ during unruly Gaza ceasefire protest, 150 arrested

Illinois Rep. Sean Casten was one of the members of Congress evacuated from the Democratic National Committee headquarters in Washington D.C. amid a protest calling for ceasefire in Gaza.

Casten posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, that the protesters "blocked all modes of ingress and egress," and that he and other members inside were evacuated by armed Capitol Police.

"You have the Constitutional right to peaceably assemble and protest. But blocking all entries to a building with multiple members of Congress in it, protected by Capitol Police officers who have lived through January 6 is putting you and other innocent people at risk," Casten wrote. "We were rescued by armed officers who did not know the protestors' intent; they knew only that Members of Congress were inside, could not leave and that protestors would not let police through. Forcing police to guess intent is irresponsible and dangerous."

U.S. Capitol Police said about 150 people were "illegally and violently protesting" near the DNC headquarters building in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Washington.

Video posted on social media showed protesters shoving police officers and trying to grab hold of metal barricades as the officers moved in to make arrests. Many of the protesters were wearing black shirts that read "Cease Fire Now."

Protesters included members of If Not Now and Jewish Voice for Peace, who have organized other demonstrations in Washington.

"I am grateful for the USCP's professionalism and that all were safely evacuated. I'm also keenly aware that it could have been much worse. Americans have a right to assemble and protest. But PLEASE do so at a safe distance and respect local police orders," Casten tweeted.

California Democrat Rep. Brad Sherman also posted on X, saying the protesters "grew violent, pepper spraying police officers and attempting to break into the building."

The DC Metropolitan Police Department is also assisting Capitol Police.

So people in this thread, I asked early on and I ask again, what's the current vibe/tempo/feeling about this conflict where you are? Are people pro Israel/pro jew? anti arab/Palestinian? If they are sick of this shit, well what side do they lean on if they are!

Flyer from a pro-Palestine group at the University of Leiden (it's in English because the Netherlands is just that cucked):

The two phrases at the end are in Arabic. If I'm getting the translation right, the first one is "By spirit, by blood, we will redeem you, oh Palestine". The second one is "From the water to the water, Palestine is Arab". Only slightly different from "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free", not that it really matters to the dumb goyim kuffar that participate in these things.

Honestly, the vast majority don't give a shit. What with the cost of living biting everyone in the ass, and the huge crime and homeless problem, who has time to think much about endless wars far away?

If you ask them, most will make noises deploring the violence in either a neutral or mildly slanted manner towards one side or the other, but most just don't have the time or energy to dedicate much head space to it.

The two exceptions being leftist activist types being pro-Palestinian and Evangelical Christians being pro-Israel, but it doesn't seem to be fever pitched here unlike many places, as Evangelicals are a pretty small minority and more internationalist than mainland ones, and leftism here has heavy Jewish involvement and few blacks or Arabs.

In short, people with lives don't care short of trying not to dwell on the horror of it all. They got enough going on in their own lives.

Here's a hospital we have clearly assaulted and shot up. No we don't have any evidence of anyone defending it. The security cameras were all blocked by Hamas so you can't see us assaulting the building. Look behind here, a bag with a gun. We found a laptop in the hospital, when analysed we'll find important intel. Look, plenty of supplies so we aren't depriving them. Over here some more bags of guns. Still not providing evidence of fighters here. Look at this bag, we laid one soldiers uniform out on this trolly. This radiation door is actually a blast door.

Here we have another grab bag, now don't accuse us of planting this, but we emptied the bag and placed everything on the shelves in this cupboard. Look, a laptop. We don't know who it belongs to but it will provide a lot of intel. Look a picture of someone.

FFS that video is retarded.
I was promised a Hamas Underground Fortress and instead we get a "weapons cache" that the average Texan would laugh at

Now they're bringing in bulldozers. "If we can't find a tunnel network then we'll dig a tunnel network!"

We should hold on a bit before we get a verdict on the tunnels. They may still exist. Maybe the tunnels entrances are over at the main complex, like previous posts have mentioned.

From what engagement I get from normies (aka my parents, and the mixture of older Canadians, Jews, New Yorkers, and Florida locals from my current location), they're still pro-Israel, but aren't following the war as much outside of blurbs on the news. I think most people who are older remember Palestinian terrorism from the 90s and 2000s, and are used to seeing the same kind of "Oh noes my babies look at the dead baby's face as I point it right at a fucking camera" and just don't care anymore.

A tree near a very busy boardwalk near me has a bunch of the kidnapped Israeli posters taped to it, and nobody touches it.

The Jews are still very energized. As energized as they were on October 8th.

Ordinary people don't seem to care much anymore.

The pro-Palestinian lefties are still pretty angry. They tear down photos, graffiti things, threaten people. Kind of a background hum. It's much more than existed during the last flare-up, or the one before that, especially at the universities.

Do you think people will shut them down? I mean the Jews aren't acting like animals.

I don't think regular people want to get involved, but the types of things happening (vandalizing schools and synagogues, swastikas, tearing down posters, yelling at random Jews) are not going to engender sympathy for Palestinians, to the extent that anyone else cares. The police are trying to prevent things from really kicking off with extra patrols and security advice. It may come down to which side is less annoying.

So to be clear, this is an "illustration" of what the IDF claimed existed under the hospital:

at the moment of writing they seized the hospital about 24 hours ago. They initially prevented international observers from entering and the reporters who came in ~12 hours later were shown zero evidence of tunnels or entrances, just the comically tiny "weapons cache" previously pictured. Does the gigantic fucking underground compound with clearly shown ladders going directly into the hospital look remotely compatible with this? Did Hamas just pour some cement and completely cover every entrance to this comic book supervillain lair in a way that the Israelis with the best technology America has to offer haven't been able to uncover a day later? Did they mind control the IDF into preventing any international observers from coming along to prove that they aren't just making shit up as they go along?

Who knows, maybe there is a tunnel entrance somewhere nearby but "a tunnel entrance exists somewhere in a building nearby the hospital" is a huge backtrack from "Al-Shifa is literally Hamas HQ". "Maybe they covered up the entrance" sounds suspiciously like "maybe Saddam snuck his WMDs out at the last second"

Hamas is clearly a terrorist organization and I'd never say they're somehow too noble to hide a military installation in a hospital. But even if you assume Hamas is comically evil and doesn't care how many civilians die they could also just pretend that they have an HQ under the hospital to bait the Israelis into looking like complete retards making "Osama Bin Laden's Tora Bora Stronghold" bullshit infographics and spending days besieging a hospital.

The IDF doesn't need leftists or Hamas telling lies to look retarded, their own propaganda videos don't survive the most basic critical examination

At this point the IDF deserves to be given exactly as much credibility as Hamas: none

Agreed, these people are so retarded that they are waving Palestinian + Gay Pride flags. I would be surprised if the majority of them could look at an unlabeled map and correctly identify which is Gaza and which is the West Bank.

@Maori Kiwifruit Growers, I’m in a rural part of America and as far as I’ve seen people here don’t really care. This town doesn’t have enough people with extreme opinions for it to be a heated situation.

Most of the people I’ve really spoken to about this are my family, all of whom are Israeli Jews. As far as I can remember we’ve generally been idealistic “two-state solution” types, but at this point it’s become clear that it’s us or them. For decades, Israel has tried again and again to make peace, but the Palestinians, especially Hamas, have consistently sent the message that they will not compromise and intend to fight us to the death. Many Israelis are finally realizing that TPD or TJD are the only ways out of this mess, and we obviously prefer TPD. Hamas wanted a war and they’re getting a war. We’re out of sympathy for them and Gaza is out of chances to prove it can function as a civilized political entity. IMO, if the Gaza Strip sank into the ocean Atlantis-style, it would be a net-positive for humanity.

Several of my relatives are also concerned about how the Arab-Israeli population will react. There are many Muslim communities is Israel and on a day-to-day basis, the Muslims, Jews, Christians, etc mainly stay out of each other’s way despite living in pretty close proximity. Every time there’s fighting between Israel and the Palestinian forces, tensions between these different groups rise. At this point Hamas themselves pose little threat to people in Tel Aviv, but there are plenty of unpredictable Arab dudes a few neighborhoods away in Jaffa.
