I really don’t get hating the opposite sex as a whole. Especially not on a class and individual level. I can understand that someone might feel that way, and I don’t fault them for that, but I don’t think that that kind of thinking is very helpful to anyone.

Okay, this is not pleasant, but I believe it to be broadly correct.
No woman wants to form a long term relationship with a dude who cries and is emotionally incontinent, because that means he’s not reliable.
It’s one thing when your friend is all in his feelings, because you don’t rely on him. You form a fam8ly with a guy, the absolute certainty is that Hard Times will come in your life together, because thats how life is. You form a family, you have kids you are both responsible for. The welfare of the kids comes before his emotional instability every single time.
You can’t take on a dude as a husband and father who when he has trouble at work, or some relative dies, or his dick stops working, crawls into bed sobbing for six months. When a crisis comes to the family, the supposed man of the house, the supposed head of the household, needs to man the fuck up. We calling it manning up for a reason. He must maintain control of his emotions so he can take control of the situation. You cry all over your kids and wife, all you have communicated to your family is that you are incapable of taking control of the situation, and that no one is in control. So either your wife has to become the head of the family (this is where all the “but she don’t resssspect me” bullshit comes in, no one respects a coward and deserter and wives don’t forget), or the entire crisis becomes a five act drama and the kids learn that neither parent is capable of keeping them safe.
If what a particular dude wants out of a relationship is a shoulder to cry on and someone to be emotionally reliant on, he needs to get some drinking buddies, because that shit will get him divorced. You are your wife’s rock. She is your children’s rock. If you can’t hold up the family, you are no use when the shit hits the fan.
Heterosexual relationships are not equal. That’s just how it be. No woman wants an emotionally weak man. Emotionally weak men make a whole family weak and unable to endure hard times.
If you don’t even get as a far as a ring before he reveals himself as expecting to use you as an emotional toilet, this is a really fucking bad sign and you bail.

Not everyone is heterosexual or interested in relationships/marriage. And not everyone should have kids. I like being able to do my own thing and being as weird, feral, and autistic as I want.
