I dunno, it looks like a fairly normal albeit filthy battlestation. I think it sometimes seems like there is an exponentially higher amount of pesos in entertainment because when those get outed it gets far more exposure.

Just guessing an overall degradation of society / normalcy. When it comes to Hollywood and big YouTube, it's a sudden influx of social power; people suddenly like you because you're some sort of big shot, and I say this, because I have a hard time believing The Ralphamale would be able to sire 2 children with 2 different women if he didn't have his Internet show. Say what you want about the quality of women he bedded and his overall quality; you know damn well if he didn't have the Killstream, he never would've nailed Faith or Digi's ex. There's a reason that certain companies that deal in certain types of things still shred hard drives after wiping them; physical destruction is the best way to handle it. Sure you can dban and degauss an SSD before you wreck it, but they're generally harder to destroy as you can possibly still recover stuff off a partial platter. But SSDs, namely the M2/NVME types that get talked about; just get some decent strength metal cutters and be sure to cut along the actual memory blocks. Unless some new stuff has come around, not even the FBI can reattach those and get them to work.

The welder in me was thinking along the lines of that. Snap it with bolt cutters, take a blow torch to the memory blocks to fuck them up, it's not exactly high tech, but a M.2. Drive isn't surviving all that. Even with a HDD, melting it is always a option

Boeing (and other like companies) have a... I don't the exact name, but the machine grinds shit down into a fine powder. It doesn't matter why, when a drive gets decommissioned, it goes in the thing that shreds it over and over until it's a fine metallic dust. But yeah, SSDs, you can do those with some tools you pick up at Home Depot or wherever.
