The company does, so the leak is primarily a problem for them. The footage leaked doesn't harm her reputation; she's already well known as a porn star, and I think she even shot uncensored porn in the past. Unless she's trying to make the argument that the company leaked this footage on purpose (which doesn't appear to be what she's arguing), I'm not sure how she can claim she was "damaged" by this leak.

People in the comments are trying to stupidly claim she would be liable for the leak, but she wouldn't. She shot the footage for legal, censored DVD. It was leaked by a third party. She had no involvement in the leak and isn't legally culpable in its release. Uncensored leaks have happened before, and neither the actresses nor the production companies were held liable for them. So that's not the reason she's suing. People try to argue that the uncensored video will hurt her reputation more than just being a porn star in Japan, but I don't buy that.

I never knew there was both censored and uncensored porn. Like I recall people not Playboy because it was dull compared to Penthouse or Hustler.

Porn produced in Japan is censored by law. Of course there are smaller companies, like Caribbeancom, that specialize in uncensored stuff, but they can't legally sell it in Japan; only abroad. And there is the occasional uncensored leak and the now the rise of stuff that has been uncensored after the fact the individuals using AI.
