This is just a baseless speculation based on absolutely nothing, but I think that the reason for the Australia trip was the wedding. At least in a roundabout way. Anisa is definitely the type of woman who'd cope with not being invited to an event by trying to upstage it. I can almost hear her say "So I am not invited to your wedding in Australia? We know how important atoning for his past and shitting on his former fanbase is to Ian and his husband, so here's a crackpot theory:

Ian and Anisa were invited, but Ian requested to not be in any wedding photos posted to social media for the above reason. Max and wifey were pissed off about this so they rescinded the invitation. It also doesn't help Ian's case since everyone knows he and Chad never got along for ABCXYZ reasons, and Max would obviously value his friendship with Chad more.

The way the benches are spaced in the photo makes me think it was a small wedding any way, so who knows.

Oh and he had to make a youtube video about putting different types of printer paper on a tier list.

I remember liking the first couple tier list videos he made, but this reminded me of my favorite: the one where he ranks food mascots based on if he thought he could beat them in a fight (I think this predates CC). I must have skimmed over where she disclosed how long it took in total. I assume someone else has already done the math, but $720/hr is just absolutely unreal. There's no way this guy isn't boasting about this to everyone in his social circle. Also, we don't know that it  only cost  Anisa Ian $18k. I could see a tattoo shop tacking on a 3% processing fee on CC purchases depending on who their merchant services provider is and what they themselves are charged for using that service. Oh yeah, plus tax. I doubt she flew to LA with 18 stacks in a carry on, so he definitely didn't throw her the no tax/cash discount.

Yes, guys. I was invited but I couldn't stay as long as I'd have wanted to, my visa was about to expire and the wedding was next week.
