A) They have a working relationship with Hamas (makes enough sense, they're the official government)
B) They covered up that the hostages were there, so they're not a neutral medical facility- I think that's the biggest thing here
C) The hostages is only a minor point, its really in conjunction with everything else.

Hospital used as a HQ openly in 2014, shots fired from the hospital, street fighting around and to get into it, weapons piles in the upper levels (we still havn't seen all the lower levels yet), rockets fired from the hospital, miles of tunnels with blast doors and booby traps that we still havn't fully explored, you have the corpses of hostages being found outside the hospital, etc-

It just gets back to the point, this wasn't just a hospital. Hmmmm, might we say that Israel has a vested interest in getting into that hospital now?

Makes sense why they decided to just gun down so many of their own citizens rather than just surround the buildings they were in and wait out or negotiate the surrender of the Hamas fighters. I have a functional brain, I've seen this exact fucking story over and over again, the defining one of my youth was Jessica Lynch who was taken to a local hospital and was being treated after her convoy got smoked. The US Media was broadcasting that she was likely raped and tortured and all manner of indignities that could befall a woman captured only for it to turn out that she was just treated to the best of the hospital's abilities. We then sent in a fucking team to extract her and play it up like it was Seal Team 6 killing Osama Bin Laden when in reality we could have just send a CASEVAC chopper directly to the hospital and the staff would have loaded her in without issue.
