What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch? I'll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals...!

-Who are they?

America's Elite of the Elite, the killers of Osama bin Laden, proud owners of a trident insignia, the U.S. Navy SEA, AIR, LAND teams (SEAL teams) are without a doubt the most famous group in the US military. SEALs are a synonym with “Super Soldiers”, it's probably the most famous “elite” military group that most normies know about. They are a brand with books, movies, and vidya done about them. They are the primary recruiting force in the Navy. (SEALs perform the same task for the Navy as Top Gun did for the Air Force). American Sniper is the highest grossing war movie in American history.

To become a SEAL, you need to join the U.S. Navy and then go to BUD/S (Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL training) which has 3 phases. An infamous training course lasting 6 months, many have compared it to actual torture with physical activities including hours lasting “log PT”, freezing in the surf of Coronado beach at night called “moon tanning”, using boats to navigate the surf, etc. There's also a shit ton of running in boots. The first phase of BUD/S ends with a famous “Hell week” where for a week the trainees get barely any sleep as they perform an insane amount of physical training in the beach while wet, cold and sandy. Enduring physical stress so high that have caused death. The second phase of BUD/S is how you learn to be a frogman. There's lots of swimming, including a controversial drownproofing training evolution. On the third phase of BUD/S you learn the LAND aspects of being a commando and lots and lots of PT and running. Steroid use and pain medication is rampant to cope with the physical stress. Lying about it and hiding it also becomes routine.

After those grueling 6 months, if you pass the evolutions, you earn the right to go to SQT (SEAL qualification training) to spend another 6 months battling injuries, chugging more steroids and learning more about the future job you'll perform. If you manage to pass, you get your famous Trident and are now a SEAL, who can go into a SEAL team. (on 6-month probation)

-What are the Special Forces and what is their purpose?

Special Forces units, SEALs being the most famous, when you boil it down, are elite infantry working along their support elements (intelligence, logistics and communication) They are assigned a myriad of missions that normal infantry don't train for. In GWOT it mostly came down to killing or capturing HVTs and occasionally hostage rescue.

They are not super human; the logic behind their existence is that the extra training plus the support elements, good inteligence and planning can create an asymmetric difference on the battlefield compared to what a regular infantrymen group can do. For the most part, it is a very hard job and people from that community generally are encouraged to not spill the beans on the activities, both for OPSEC of future missions, guarding TTPs and generally to protect of the integrity of the unit. Former members are NOT encouraged to make their whole identity out of their former job when they retire (in theory at least).

-Navy SEAL creed
“In times of war or uncertainty there is a special breed of warrior ready to answer our Nation’s call. A common man with uncommon desire to succeed. Forged by adversity, he stands alongside America’s finest special operations forces to serve his country, the American people, and protect their way of life.

I am that warrior.

My Trident is a symbol of honor and heritage. Bestowed upon me by the heroes that have gone before, it embodies the trust of those I have sworn to protect. By wearing the Trident I accept the responsibility of my chosen profession and way of life. It is a privilege that I must earn every day.

My loyalty to Country and Team is beyond reproach. I humbly serve as a guardian to my fellow Americans always ready to defend those who are unable to defend themselves. I do not advertise the nature of my work, nor seek recognition for my actions. I voluntarily accept the inherent hazards of my profession, placing the welfare and security of others before my own.

I serve with honor on and off the battlefield. The ability to control my emotions and my actions, regardless of circumstance, sets me apart from other men. Uncompromising integrity is my standard. My character and honor are steadfast.

I serve with honor on and off the battlefield. The ability to control my emotions and my actions, regardless of circumstance, sets me apart from other men. Uncompromising integrity is my standard. My character and honor are steadfast.

My word is my bond.

We expect to lead and be led. In the absence of orders I will take charge, lead my teammates and accomplish the mission. I lead by example in all situations.

I will never quit. I persevere and thrive on adversity. My Nation expects me to be physically harder and mentally stronger than my enemies. If knocked down, I will get back up, every time. I will draw on every remaining ounce of strength to protect my teammates and to accomplish our mission.

I am never out of the fight.

We demand discipline. We expect innovation. The lives of my teammates and the success of our mission depend on me – my technical skill, tactical proficiency, and attention to detail.

My training is never complete.

We train for war and fight to win. I stand ready to bring the full spectrum of combat power to bear in order to achieve my mission and the goals established by my country. The execution of my duties will be swift and violent when required yet guided by the very principles that I serve to defend.

Brave SEALs have fought and died building the proud tradition and feared reputation that I am bound to uphold. In the worst of conditions, the legacy of my teammates steadies my resolve and silently guides my every deed.

I will not fail.”

It may read like a speech a soldier who took himself too seriously wrote after watching the Rocky movies. There are some highlighted parts there we could call "foreshadowing".

-What is the problem?

The SEALs trace their story to the frogmen of WW2 performing very specialized missions in coastal areas. They were a small and flexible element inside the highly structured Navy. Their emphasis in thinking outside the box and telling “Big Navy” to fuck off, has made them an effective fighting force, but also made them a substantial rogue element; A-type personalities willing to bend the rules, break laws, steal and murder. With a proclivity to then lie and cover up misdeeds, (a skill learned as early as BUD/S). A code of silence akin to the omertà is prevalent. “If you ain't cheating, you ain't trying.” is a phrase universally uttered by SEALs.

-GWOT surge and Drama.

SEALs had had plenty of behind the scenes' drama for their actions in Vietnam, but many of those stories are lost to time and the fact that the only witnesses were small units in the jungle who would never speak up or rat a fellow team guy.

Moving forward to GWOT. The executive office was faced with a problem. Dead American soldiers is bad press and FOIA can be an issue when politicians don't want to face repercussion for the actions they authorized. Lucky for them, SOCOM can classify their activities, so the public does not have access.

SOCOM SWeep.png

A tool that was created as a scalpel for when secrecy was absolutely necessary was now a tool that politicians were happy to wield freely and indiscriminately. If you ever wonder why presidents and politicians love SEALs and SOCOM in general and give them lots of funding, this is the reason. The SEALs and Deltas were happy to plus up their small units, and have their teams become squadrons during GWOT

That lead to an increase in personnel, decreasing standards and heightened tempo of operations, some argue, leading to the original “roguish” attitude shifting increasingly towards war criminality, lies and cover-ups. Such an increased tempo also contributed to the SEAL and SOF culture (which was already pretty prone to alcoholism and drugs as coping tools for stress and pain) degenerating into functional addiction and boozer territory almost universally.

-Some notable SEAL characters

Chris Kyle, SEAL sniper and serial liar. Wrote a book where he inflated his kill count and his awards. Got a movie made about him by Clint Eastwood that is mostly fiction. Got killed by a crayon eater suffering PTSD, who Kyle took to a shooting range to help cure him (200 I.Q. move). Was sued for defamation by Jesse Ventura for claiming in the book that he had punched Jesse outside a SEAL bar because Jesse had talked shit about the SEALs even though nobody saw that and Jesse is a SEAL himself. The Kyle estate decided to settle giving Ventura a huge, but undisclosed amount of money. (Ventura legally agreed not to disclose the numbers but said he's smiling at the result)

Marcus Lutterell, “lone survivor” of the botched operation “"Operation Red Wings"”. Had a movie made about the incident where he inflated enemy numbers to cover up the fact that a SEAL team got wiped by 10-12 Taliban in an ambush. Allegedly ran away from the fight just as MOH winner Mike Murphy yelled “Marcus, where are you!?” as can be heard in the Afghan videotape of the event. The movie is pure fiction and embellishment, again.

Robert O'Neill the SEAL team Six member who killed bin Laden, Yeah!, or not really. Allegedly, he was just the 4th man in the room after the SEAL who shot him. Guilty of “canoeing” the head of bin Laden, making facial identification impossible (was warned against doing this by his command but did it anyway). Claimed he was the one who killed him, despite severe inconsistencies in his story. Robert is an enterprising guy, though, who will never let the truth get in the way of a good story. Makes tons of cash thanks to his acquired fame. Is also a violent alcoholic who has problems with the law recently and was even banned from Delta Air Lines.

Also, he owns own a brewery and has great taste in apparel, that in no way is culturally insensitive and makes EVERY American look bad:
jesus was an american.jpgbin lager.jpg

RED: Who is "Red"? It is the nickname of the alleged pointman SEAL in the stack during the UBL raid. Internet detectives and nooticers know that "Red" killed Khalid, and they also infer that "Red" also was the one who actually put lethal rounds into UBL, (i.e. killing him) others later walking into the room to put rounds into UBL and finally getting canoed by our friend Bob O'Neill (alleged 4th in the stack)

Did "Red" make a contract with O'Neill for a cut of the profits to remain in the shadows while O'Neill becomes the star? Or is he a "quiet professional" that really doesn't want the credit and is okay with Bob saying he got UBL and wants to be left alone? We don't know. But it doesn't matter. Too many eyes are looking, too many people that know who "Red" is are yapping about it and their lips are loose. It will come out soon enough who "Red" is. That is a certainty. HE WILL HAVE THE UNWANTED FAME AND NOTORIETY, AND HE WILL BE HAPPY (or Not). Post 1, Post 2, Post 3 explaining why William "Bill" Rapier is most likely "RED"

Eddie Gallagher, convicted war criminal, sociopath, pill head and all around shithead, Eddie is the O.J. Simpson of the SEALs. Most famous for leading Alpha platoon of SEAL team 7 in the battle of Mosul and stabbing an injured fighter, after saying he was going to provide medical care, and taking photos of it that were shared with a buddy.

Gallagher.jpg

A journalist wrote a book about him and he is currently suing the journalist. In the book, it is claimed by his teammates that Eddie, being a platoon chief, was ignoring his leadership duties, making everyone turn off their tracking devices (a safety and control device) and going up into a building with a sniper rifle and shooting indiscriminately, the alleged motivation being becoming the new Chris Kyle and advancing his career.

Allegedly shot civilians, including a girl with a colored flower hijab, going to get water to a river. Their teammates at some point allege they had to protect civilians from Eddie by firing warning shots. It all culminated in the alleged stabbing and picture taking of a 17-year-old who got pressed by ISIS to fight. Due to the lack of a body to examine, political tampering, and a famously biased trial, he got only convicted of taking inappropriate photos of a dead combatant. Spent 9 months in a brig before the trial.

Now Eddie spends most of his time going to podcasts, doing PR and, desperately avoiding being branded as the sick fuck he is. Special mention goes to his sociapathic wife, Andrea Gallagher, who sucked Trumps cock enough on Fox News, the president twitted about and impaired the trial before it started. Andrea stated in the Shawn Ryan show that she shows her young kids, early as 10, pictures of the nasty deeds of his dad. Truly a piece of work.

Timothy Szymanski SEAL team six "The Godfather" officer. Retired as a Vice Admiral who served for four decades, including many years with SEAL Team 6 during the post-9/11 wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Retiring second in command at SOCOM with a career that has been marked by controversy and questions about accountability for battlefield decisions that led to the deaths of several American service members, like in Robert's Ridge. Despite this, Szymanski was repeatedly promoted throughout his career, including during times when he protected a SEAL Team 6 operator who attempted to behead a Taliban fighter and aggressively lobbied for him to receive the Medal of Honor. The culture of impunity within the Navy SEALs from the officers has been criticized as leading to war crimes, drug use, sexual assault on deployment, and other misconduct among active-duty members.

Britt Slabinski, Team Six Medal of Honor winner (due to politics since Chapman made the Navy SEALs look bad in Robert's Ridge, so Trump upgraded his Navy cross). Sick Fuck. Said on an interview he liked shooting dead people to make them twich as a form of therapy for the team. Asked for "a head on a platter" on a mission and one of his subordinates tried to behead someone but was stopped by another officer. Slabinski covered it up. He is persona-non-grata in the teams. Oh, and the shitbag left a man behind (Chapman). Great choice for the MOH.

britt sick fuck 1.pngbritt sick fuck.png
Shawn Ryan, former SEAL, spook and podcast host. Gummy bear peddler and shill. Often exposes the troubles SEALs face, from alcoholism, TBIs, suicide, and drug use. Psychedelic therapy advocate. Joe Rogan wannabe. Says he found Christ. Had war criminal Eddie Gallagher on his podcast and is now his brand "Vigilance Elite" is affiliated with Gallagher.

Matt Bissonnette Former SEAL team 6 who was in the Osama raid. Fucking sellout and greedy fuck. Made bank by making an unauthorized book about the raid and kept Osama's canoed photo illegaly. Allegedly had pre-planned with O'Neill who was going to take the credit for killin Osama before the operation but they had a falling out that almost came to blows. Wrote "No Easy Day" as vetbro literature with Mark Owen as pseudonym. Also had alleged shady business ties with the suppliers of team six while being active duty with obvious conflicts of interets, and works as a consultant for "Navy SEALs" show as Mark Owen, exposing TTPs that may get fellow SEALs killed, but he doesn't care, he got his dough.

William McRaven, a retired United States Navy four-star admiral, who oversaw the bin Laden raid and while by all acounts a very capable and smart officer, has also made a career out of exploiting his rank to receive advantages and rewards for his service. He recently received $50 million from Jeff Bezos to work on charitable activities to help fix the problems his way of war caused - enlisted personnel are left to sacrifice their relationships, physical and mental health, and even sustain injuries such as traumatic brain injury (TBI), auditory loss or worse while serving their country.

McRaven's financial success, media whoring and shilling, having written 6 books, plus his work as the chancellor of The Univeristy of Texas System (estimated pay 1 million a year) and in the Palantir advisory board (God knows how many $$$) has generated criticism and debate about the disparity between opportunities available to enlisted personnel versus officers in the military. It is a slap in the face to those who have sacrificed everything for their country, only to be left with a fraction of the benefits or oportunities that officers like McRaven receive after their service finishes. McRaven's retirement salary, stocks, and other earnings easily place him in the "filthy rich" status.

The bitterness among enlisted members towards officers and the system is one of the reasons you see the greed and resentment in enlisted elite like Bissonette and O'Neill who were undeniably top-notch operators and who did McRaven's dirty work for him.

seal mcraven palantir money.png
("This is what having a high 7 figure salary looks like. TBI's, loss of limb and life are for the idiots who chose to enlist"- Slick Willy McRaven)

Chris Beck former Navy SEAL who famously transitioned in 2013 and detransitioned in 2022. Wrote a book called "Warrior Princess". Had a fucked up childhood. Started crossdressing in 7th or 8th grade and claims he transitioned due to PTSD, drug use, TBI and the stress from hazing at BUD/S. I find him (and I'm not alone) insanely creepy. Thank @Big Miss Steak for the extra info.

Erik Prince former SEAL, greedy mercenary and a fucking huge neocon. Close to Bannon and the far right for a while. Founder of controversial Blackwater. Works in the middle east and gave spy and undercover training to Proyect Veritas. Erik is fucking greedy and no one can trust him because he wants a big secret cut from every contract. Wants to General but barely had experience in the SEALs. Interview with Matthew Cole.

Eric Greitens former SEAL, 56th governor of Missouri, Greitens majored in ethics, philosophy, and public policy and was engaged in an extramarital affair with his hairstylist. Alleged sex pest and domestic abuser of kids. Conservative. Scumbag politician.

Dan Crenshaw Former SEAL officer who lost an eye. Moshe Dayan impersonator. Empty suit for the republican party who wins clout in politics due to the SEAL brand and his eyepatch.

Don Shipley old retired SEAL. Retired as Master Chief and ran Extreme SEAL Expereince. A small training camp to prepare people for BUD/S. Served honorably by most accounts. Became famous for exposing Stolen Valor SEALs who use the brand for personal gain and grifting. Huge boomer, with a rose tinted view of SEALs since he never actually fought in a major war. Allegedly pressured his son from youth to join the SEALs even though he first wanted to become a veterinarian.

DJ Shipley, son of Don Shipley. Served in Team 10 and DEVGRU. Fought in the GWOT since he was 19 until he was medically retired from DEVGRU. Has had severe brain damage and crippling injuries due to his service. Got addicted to tramadol and adderall due to the high tempo of operation and physical and psychological demands of his job. Cheated on his wife (the widow of Danny Dietz, who died in Red Wings). Almost died from an electrocution doing skateboard art. Makes art skatebords with electricity, and is cofounder of GBRS group where recently there has been a lot of drama, police and lawsuits. Also, had a son out of wedlock, and "went to buy a pack of cigarettes".

Nathanael Roberti, (mugshot) SEAL team 10 veteran. Was in operation Red Wings and claims he was not in the ill-fated QRF helicopter because of overweight in the chopper. Violent Alcoholic and drug user. Felon and Dishonorably discharged. Worked with Don Shipley in Extreme SEAL Experience until he had a falling out for trying to take a cut out of the business.

Jocko Willink and David Goggins are former SEALs that exemplify the brand of the Navy SEALs, extreme unhealthy overachievement pandering to impressionable men. They both made their money and fame from motivational books and talks. Look enough in youtube and you'll find hours of their "tough love motivation".

-What about SEAL team 6 (now DEVGRU)?

nosd.png

Richard Marcinko a SEAL officer and convicted fraudster, decided that the SEAL teams after Vietnam needed a Hostage rescue, anti-terror, clandestine cell, akin to the Army's Delta force. Many may know about his book Rogue Warrior, but what you may not know is that he wrote it to pay his legal fees while in jail (starting the whole SEAL bullshit book tradition). To get into SEAL team six, you already need to be a SEAL and need to apply for “Green team”. A 9 month CQB and counter-terror selection process. Though it was reported by Matthew Cole that to get into team six before it professionalized, you just needed to be a good drinking friend with Marcinko.

They lost their first member in GWOT in the Battle of Robert's Ridge, a famously botched operation where they infamously left behind on the ridge, a wounded Medal Of Honor winner John Chapman and lied about it. It took thermal imaging of the battle to get the story straight. Also, infamously, they tried to block the posthumous MOH to Chapman to avoid embarrassment. Matthew Cole wrote a book exposing the troubles within Team Six. Interviewing around 40 SEALs and people who worked with them during GWOT and before, the book alleges the teams engaging in a myriad of war crimes. Including murder of prisoners, desecrating the bodies by skinning, mutilation or beheading, sexual assault and even the murder by SEAL team 6 member Tony DeDolph of a Green Beret they were trying to sexually assault on tape with the help of a Black Malian to use as leverage to prevent him from exposing them stealing from the military. The psychos called it "Operation Tossed Salad" an euphemism for anilingus. RIP Logan Melgar. The unit has showed itself to be so ethically compromised that it will steal, whore, blackmail with sexual assault, kill and subsequently cover-up a fellow service members' murder. Death of Logan Melgar. Clearly the guys who you'd send to win a war against an insurgency. (lol)

Adam Matthews, criminal who flipped. Participated in Operation Tossed Salad. Pleaded guilty to obstruction, conspiracy to commit assault, hazing, and unlawful entry for only a year in prison if he helped the prosecution. Tries to still rebrand himself with a defense contracting company; Ryker defense. Cleverly his name is never mentioned in the "about" page for obvious reasons. archive about ryker defense / https://www.rykerdefense.com/

One of the most infamous and horrific ways Team Six (and other SOF like Delta) desecrated bodies was "canoeing" which was shooting someone in point blank at the forehead, leaving a negative shape on the head like a canoe while the brain matter is splashed all over. According to a former SEAL team Six team leader, who went to a yearly reunion, he was shown a ring bound book full of "canoed" photographs (called by SEALs "their greatest hits since 9/11") and was so disgusted he never went to another reunion. Apparently the gore folder was not a secret and was openly shown and known by everyone in the team. They are not even sutbtle about it, and patches have been made in reference to this form of desecration.

-Hatchet war crimes
red team.jpg seal hatchet.jpgDelta or SEAL hatchet.jpgDelta Hatchet example.png

A former Navy SEAL Red Team member who joined Delta after 9/11, Kevin Holland, brought historically accurate Tomahawks to give to his Delta squadron. As the war in Iraq grew in brutallity, the chances to use them for mutilation and desecration increased. As Delta started using hatchets to mutilate bodies, something the insurgents also did, the practice spread like a virus to other SOF units.

Hugh Wyman Howard III (Matthew Cole intercept article) was the officer who was the leader of SEAL team six Red Squadron (The teams grew in into squadrons) and as you can see in the pic, they take the "reds" part very seriously. Wyman gave a tomahawk to everyone in the squadron after a year of service. He asked his guys to "get their hatchets bloody" in a motivational, aggresive talk, being ambiguous enough to say it is a "metaphor" for killing the enemy, but many squadron guys took it literally and started skinning the dead with the excuse that they were "collecting DNA" and dismembering, skinning or beheading the dead combatants for psychological warfare. The practice of carrying tomahawks for desecration grew popular in the SEAL teams and SOF as a whole.

Hilariously, Wyman thinks he'll become the first SEAL president of the US and allegedly tells it to everyone who will hear. But his venture is misguided and doomed to fail. Modern Americans would never vote a psychopth war criminal bald guy into office. Eisenhower was a long time ago buddy.

Don't believe the excuse that "it's a tool meant to open doors or pry open stuff". For doing that you would not use an Indian Tomahawk hatchet, but something called a Halligan tool. A visible Indian hatchet on an operator has as purposes either mutilation of the dead and/or gang like intimidation.

Halligan tool.jpgDelta hatchet.png
(Halligan tool. What you'd actually use for opening doors or prying open stuff like windows or car doors. Look at how small that tomahawk used by Delta is. You couldn't even break a lock with it.)

-Style of desecration used by each squadron during early-mid GWOT

SEAL squadrons.png

At first SEAL team 6 had 3 main assault squadrons (Silver would come later) . First was Blue and Gold squadrons representing the colors of the Navy. Then Red squadron joined later. During early-mid GWOT 2005-2012 each squadron was known for a particular sort of the desecration (besides canoeing), according to Matthew Cole;

Blue squadron: "The Pirates" Skinning the dead with knives. Self-explanatory.

Red squadron: "The Red men" and as their mascot shows, using hatchets to mutilate/behead the dead.

Gold squadron: "The Crusaders" After entering a place and securing it, if they knew that a detained person was a member of a terrorist group, or a man who was yelling at them too much, they would pull him aside to an empty room. One operator would take off his kit and a second one would watch the door. They told the person that if they won a grappling match they were free to leave. Of course, the operator who was very well-trained in MMA and had a teammate at the door always killed in hand-to-hand the person they had pulled aside. They then threw the body next to the rest of the people detained as a form of brutal intimidation. This method was chosen apparently because Gold members were frustrated they could not use their MMA skills in war.

-Captain Philips money.

During the hostage situation, Maersk gave the pirates a package with 30K as ransom money for Captain Philips. After the snipers killed the Somalis, and SEALs from Red squadron assaulted the lifeboat, the 30K package went "missing". Claimed "thrown overboard by the pirates". lol

-Taxpayer Funded Safaris.

If you saw the movie Black Hawk Down, you know there's a joke from Capt. Steel about Delta Force going on Taxpayer funded Safaris. It's not a joke and both Delta Force and SEALs raid the local fauna for fun and document it while deployed.

JSOC (For reference)

The Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) is a unified combatant command of the United States Department of Defense responsible for organizing and employing special operations forces from all branches of the military. SEALS, Delta Force and Green Berets fall into this.

*OP note here. I started this thread with the missconception that the SEALs were a clown organization and that Delta Force was professional and not full of loonies. I was wrong, and in fact Delta Force and their retired community, upon further gathering of info, was more full of lolcows, war criminals and crazies than the SEALs.

Deltas in fact were the ones who started using hatchets in Iraq as a form of desecration and not the SEALs, and also began the practice of Canoeing before the SEALs copied them (which is also not a good thing, may I add). I believe based on what I've observed, that they were so out of control in Iraq that they were not chosen for the 2011 Osama bin Laden raid, a fact which, to this day still makes them ABSOLUTELY SEETHE.

black hawk.png

Modeled after the British SAS, Delta's existence is officially denied by the army because of the clandestine nature of their work, but their record that is known is a mixed bag, with famous failures including Operation Eagle Claw and Battle of Mogadishu or Black Hawk Down. Since Delta has had many names and it "doesn't exist" acording the the army it is informally just known as "The Unit" (current name is Special Missions Unit, a former name being CAG, Combat Application Group). The official name in internal documentation is 1st SFOD-D though.

Why did they chose the "D" letter? Apparenly "D" is for "Dog Killers from incomptence", since from the late 90's to 2008 they lost 12 working dogs. By comparison, SEAL team Six lost zero dogs in combat from 2001-2014 and only one (Bart) in the helicopter shootdown of "Extortion 17".

Green Berets main task is usually going into a country and training indigenous forces (hopefully friendly to American interests and not future enemies or criminals) in 12 group men called ODA's (the famous "Advisors"). Despite their main task being to train locals, they are not afraid to get into the fight, dragging America into a war, as happened in Vienam.

-Some notable Delta Force characters.

Larry Vickers a former Delta Force operator with more than a few miles on his combat boots, has found himself in deep shit for breaking international sanctions by cozying up to Russia and abusing Demo letters. Pleaded guilty. Now facing up to 20 years behind bars, this supposed "expert" soldier seems to have forgotten that when you wear the uniform, you're not just representing your country - you're also expected to uphold its laws. The dumb boomer used his phone to text evidence of his crimes.

"Potentially criminal" video about the incident.

Tom Satterly, former Delta C-squadron, a Mogadishu, Bosnia and Iraq veteran with a 20-year career in Delta. Admitted to the personal problems Delta and war caused him in his book "All secure". Has had +5 suicide attempts. Has a foundation called "All secure" same as his book, that attempts to connect troubled veterans to a service they need. Served in Iraq as a senior NCO in C-squadron Delta during the early 2000s and is highly likely he knew and allowed the hatchet and canoeing desecration, since it all started with C-squadron in Iraq. Stood up the 4th squdron of Delta (D-squadron). The patch of the squadron has war axes (!!!) and a red "V" (suspected reference to the negative V shape of canoeing does to a head when being shot at point blank at the forehead. And the red color represents the blood.). Alternatively, the patch of the squadron is just the red "V".

(D-squadron patches, the red "V" was the original design, and the axes and shield design with the "V" as well was a more modern version.)

Chris VanSant, former Delta, Iraq veteran of C-squadron. Works with Tom as COO in "All secure" foundation to help veterans. Despite this, he has very questionable "friends" like Cris Vallejo and Joey Goodloe and the abosolute sociopath Jesse Boettcher. (see more about him below, Jesse is an absolute sociopath). Also, VanSant should learn to write more gooder. Also admitted to having suicide attempts.
DELTA vansant typo.png

Cris Vallejo was supposed to embody the quiet professionalism of Delta Force - instead, he became a symbol of everything wrong with military culture. Credibly accused of raping a woman when she left a toilet (a female Army member) and leading a motorcycle club with a hatchet logo (with all the dark implications that brings for Delta), Vallejo's actions were more suited for a biker gang than an elite soldier. Also was married and had a newborn at the time of the alleged rape. The military authorities sweeped up the rape charges. His life ended in a car crash before he could face justice in a civilian court or criticism for his conduct, but his legacy lives on as a cautionary tale about the dangers of unchecked aggression and disregard for ethics within military ranks.

Tony Cowden, an ex-Green Beret turned PMC, has a track record for dishonesty that extends beyond just cheating in pistol shooting competitions. He's also known to embellish his military stories and his use psychedelics, adds another layer of unpredictability to his already questionable character. Cowden's penchant for challenging online critics to fights only serves to further expose that he has more than a few screws loose, making him an even more dubious figure in the world of retired military personnel.

Dave Nielsen military career is marked by numerous controversial actions and admissions that cast doubt on his character. He recounts turning away in fear upon encountering an enemy for the first time in Panama, only to be saved by a squad leader who took action. His admission of enjoying being alone during Delta selection raises questions about his ability to work effectively as part of a team. Nielsen's pride over a deployment where half of his entire squadron was shot is particularly concerning, given that he admits they didn't think twice about changing their tactics or strategies in response.

Nielsen has made several disturbing confessions. He openly admits to murdering an unarmed elderly man during his time in Iraq, which is a serious violation of human rights and military protocols. Furthermore, he strongly alludes to the execution of detainees while serving in Iraq.

Joey Goodloe, a former member of the elite Delta Force unit, has been involved in an incident that raises serious concerns about his behavior. During a Crye after-party at Shot Show, he broke a black man's jaw after calling him a nigger, revealing a violent streak and questionable handling of alcohol. VanSant was present as his friend during the incident, since they both worked at the same gear company before.

William Lavigne active duty Delta Force, is entangled in a web of deceit and violence that has left no shortage of victims. His involvement in the murder of his friend Mark Leshikar, an Army Green Beret, was allegedly motivated by fears of exposure over drug dealings at Fort Bragg. Got murdered along with an army member a year later. Kenneth Maurice Quick Jr., 23 a drug dealing nog was found guilty.

The circumstances surrounding both deaths are shrouded in mystery and suspicion. Lavinge's connections within law enforcement may have played a role in his avoidance of proper investigation into the murder, raising questions about police corruption and collusion.

Admited to Leshikar's sister to having his war dog (he was a dog handler) maul the corpses of killed enemies because "the dogs needed a treat" which is a lie and just wanton desecration using a dog.

Jesse Boettcher, former Delta C-squadron and absolute psychopathic lunatic. Has an instagram full of dead animals he killed and his choices in shirts scream professionalism and mental sanity. Apparenly diagnosed high functioning sociopath. (surprising, I know) Was in C-squadron when hatchet war crimes were in full swing

Brian Gilligan, a retired member of Delta, charged with criminal activities involving felony peeping, domestic violence, and violation of a restraining order. These actions not only demonstrate Gilligan's disregard for the law but also highlight his perverted behavior.

The serious nature of these charges suggests that Gilligan has lost touch with reality and is unable or unwilling to respect boundaries, both legal and personal. His involvement in such heinous acts raises questions about the character and judgment of those who once served alongside him in Delta Force, casting a shadow over their reputation as elite soldiers.

Jonathan Dunbar, Delta Force member who blew himself and an SAS Sgt. up in Syria in 2018 with his own explosives. The Pentagon quickly came to janny it up and said that it was an IED that hit him and that caused the charges Dunbar had on his person to do a secondary detonation. Deboonked. Brent Tucker (most likely) lied about the IED story and he's been used as a reliable source (lol) by fanboys who are still coping about how Delta doesn't make mistakes.
Delta Dunbar breacher up.png
(Breacher up!)

Evan Hafer, Former Green Beret who worked with Deltas as a CIA contractor, creator of the Black Rifle Coffee Comany (coffee peddler) and one hell of a perverted individual. Has had numerous instances of self-admitted unprofessionalism while in the military (like invading Iraq in pink shorts) and was involved in a sexual harrasment court case where he proposed sex to another male employee and I quote. "Why don’t we close that door and butt fuck the shit out of each other?”. Is also married and has children.

Brent Tucker, former Delta, Brovet, ex-military podcaster, Coffee Peddler that embodies the trashiest of veteran behavior with his silly antics and self-promotion tactics that are reminiscent of outdated boomer marketing strategies. Quit SERE after getting slapped around a bit. His attempts to use Reddit alt accounts for personal gain only further highlight his lack of intelligence and understanding of modern digital media. Additionally, the existence of a restraining order against him in Florida adds another layer of concern about his character and behavior
delta brent tucker.png
(Very organic postings, Brent)

Josh Martin, a Delta OTC instructor with questionable judgment, attempted to discredit Brent Tucker by claiming he was fired from Delta Force in an Instagram post. Snake behavior, and that's how he got on our radar. His lack of understanding that even after leaving the unit, one still represents it in some capacity is indicative of his immaturity and poor decision-making skills.

Martin's choice of apparel, featuring shirts with inappropriate slogans like "Shoot fast eat ass" and "Enjoy Choke," while practicing shooting drills further highlights his lack of professionalism and disregard for decorum.

His actions are a poor reflection on the Delta Force community and demonstrate that he is more suited to being a clown than an instructor. It's no surprise that Martin deleted his Instagram once the Farms mentioned him, as it's clear he cannot handle criticism or scrutiny of his actions.

Dale Comstock Former Delta A-squadron, mercenary in Yemen, and absolute nutcase. Wrote a book about himself called "American Badass" (yes, really) because Delta are quiet humble professionals. Bald as fuck and steroid abuser. An old man that wants to remain relevant and cool, but just comes off as insecure and gay. Literally. (him on the left)

Matt Pranka: Former Delta. Alcoholic AF. Shows incredibly poor judgment drinking and driving and showing it with pride on instagram and when told that it's not a good look, tells a follower to unfollow if he's so upset, probably while drunk. An inspiration for all other soldiers to follow. Because let's be honest, If you don't have a couple of DUI's and/or a restraining order, were you really in Army? Benghazi Deltas Taylor Jolly and David Halbruner, two members of the elite Delta Force unit known as Benghazi Deltas, have disgraced themselves with their cowardly actions during the 13-hour siege in Benghazi. Instead of standing up for their country and fellow Americans, they hid in a basement while others fought to protect them.

Their unnecessary desecration of an American soldier's dead body by throwing it off of a roof (something done to dead Taliban) is indicative of their lack of respect for human life and dignity. Their actions were depicted in the movie "13 Hours," further solidifying their place as a disgrace to the Delta Force community.

Since GWOT demanded so much out of all kinds of special forces in general, JSOC and SOCOM made sure there was interoperability within all type of units. Therefore, although each unit has specialized roles, the capabilities during GWOT were standardized, along with the problems that haunts the SEALs like war crimes, drug and alcohol abuse and suicide. I find it appropriate that they can fit into this thread. If they were in JSOC OR SOCOM, they belong here.

seal.png

The Navy SEALs are without a doubt America's Elite with the good, bad and ugly that comes with it. They revel in lies and cover-ups, and they are trained to cheat both to win in war, and for personal gain when they think they can get away with it. Famously, during the Bella Janke debacle, we had a run-in with a former SEAL and spook Michael Janke who tried to get a lawyer to censor the website until he was advised against it. This is to start discussion on them and their Tier 1 peers if it's ever warranted for lolcow/drama updates on them or their community. No organization, especially one who carries the flag on their chests and shoulders, should be free from public scrutiny.

IMPORTANT NOTE, THIS IS NOT A STOLEN VALOR THREAD, FOR STOLEN VALOR COWS GO TO THE LINK BELOW. MENTION IN THIS THREAD PEOPLE WHO HAVE SERVED IN TIER 1 UNITS.

-EPILOGUE 1
talis.jpg

You will never be a real hero. You have no honor, you have no moral code, you have no professionalism. You are a homosexual man twisted by PEDs and reparative surgery into a crude mockery of an infantryman's perfection.

All the “validation” you get from the country is two-faced and half-hearted. Behind your back people mock you for being a tax dollar drain, an addict and a fuck-up. Your parents and community are disgusted and ashamed of you, your behavior and greed. Your “friends” laugh at your sleeved-tattooed roided convict look. Nice ball-cap bro. The people you "coach" and give "motivational talks" to, are only in the room because their boss forced them to. They hate your guts with a passion because they know you violated an oath to be a quiet professional, servant of the people. And now you have the gall to tell others how to follow theirs.

You will never be happy. You wrench out a fake smile every single morning, after popping your painkillers, and tell yourself it’s going to be ok, the drugs will help, the TBI will disappear, the Northern Alliance still has a chance, those 20 years of GWOT weren't in vain. But deep inside, you know the truth. You feel the depression creeping up like a weed, ready to crush you under the unbearable weight. You know you dedicated your life and health to a lost cause and performed evil while doing so. Eventually it’ll be too much to bear - you’ll buy another overpriced $2.000 pistol and die in your shower from a self-inflicted gunshot wound while blackout drunk.

Your gay lover Jose will find you, heartbroken but relieved that he no longer has to live with the unbearable shame and disappointment of being the top in the relationship with an "elite operator" who cries like a bitch about how terrible it was to fight illiterate mountain herders. He’ll bury you in Arlington with a headstone marked with your birth name, your unit insignia, and every passerby for the rest of eternity will know that a fag with no sense of honor and no sense of pride is buried there. Your body will decay and go back to the dust, and all that will remain of your legacy is a skeleton with a hole in the head, representing a 15 million dollar lost investment your lifelong training cost the taxpayer.

This is your fate. This is what you chose. There is no turning back. The white flag of the Taliban is still up in Kabul.

-EPILOGUE 2
DELTA Tom satterly about war.png

-EPILOGUE 3

BUD/S, or Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL school, is an arduous six-month training program designed to forge elite warriors from ordinary men. But in today's 21st century warfare, does it still serve its purpose? Is the torturous regimen necessary to create a SEAL? The answer I think is no.

The current system is more about hazing and brand protection (avoiding brand dilution by having too many SEALs) than actual soldiering experience. It turns potential great soldiers into machines of suffering endurance rather than effective fighters. The emphasis on keeping numbers low only serves to protect the SEAL image, not to ensure that every man who wears the insignia is a capable warrior. At the end of BUD/S a the graduate is by all accounts much less capable than your average Marine infantryman from a soldiering standpoint.

Moreover, BUD/S injuries and even fatalities are too high (like Kyle Mullen) for no good reason. Audie Murphy, one of America's greatest soldiers in World War II, didn't need such harsh training to become great. The same goes for other MOH soldiers like Vito Bertoldo. They were just ordinary men who rose to the occasion when their country needed them most. The same can be said for many Medal of Honor winners - they were regular men who had basic training and then became heroes through their actions, not their ability to endure torturous training.

But does every man who goes through SEAL training get out the other end a super elite, exemplary soldier? Hell no, and this thread proves that, with shitbags like DeDolph or Matthews who killed a fellow armed forces member while attempting to sexually assault him with a black Malian guard, while they were all drunk.

In this modern age, of drones, thermals, satellites, etc. where technology and strategy play a greater role in warfare than brute strength, the Navy should reconsider the SEALs actual purpose besides brand. They must adapt to the changing times and ensure that their training reflects the realities of 21st century combat. The BUD/S system may have worked in the past (1980s or 1990s), but it's obviously time for a change. It's time to make the training more relevant, less brutal, and ultimately, better prepare soldiers for the challenges they will face on the battlefield. I don't think the taxpayer would want to keep funding sadistic 6-month hazing evolutions that injure, traumatize and ultimately don't prepare the trainees for the modern battlefield in any way.

-The Dunbar Purple Heart cover-up/fiasco. Schrödinger's Purple Heart

Getting injured or killed by enemy action or by friendly fire "in the heat of battle" with the full intent of inflicting damage or destroying enemy troops or equipment will get you a Purple Heart medal. And they are awarded incredibly quickly, with the ranger running the "Gritty Soldier" YouTube channel claiming he got his PH medal, while his bandages were still bleeding and his medal got stained with his own blood (a point of pride for him, and rightly so).

Dunbar, who was allegedly in Syria running "all capped" (with the breaching charges already capped with an explosive primer attached to his detonator) either accidentally misfired his detonator or there was some sort of equipment issue. Either way, the breaching charges exploded on his person, killing him, SAS Sgt. Matt Tonroe and injuring a DEVGRU operator so badly he had to spend a year in the hospital. Dunbar is a decorated soldier with three Bronze stars, but the manner in which he was killed does not qualify him for a Purple Heart.

But that didn't stop Delta from trying to cover up the fact that one of their soldiers had killed friendlies. At first, it was claimed an IED detonated and caused the detonation of his breaching charges. This turned out to be false, but by the time it was corroborated, (Thanks to an independent British investigation because an SAS soldier had been killed) Dunbar had already been awarded a PH, with his gravestone showing it, and getting put in the Purple Heart hall of honor website.
delta dunbar ph 2.pngdelta dunbar ph.png
But now there's a weird situation where publications like Task & Purpose, Dunbar's father blog (Ted Dunbar) and all his decorations DO NOT feature a Purple Heart. Even his "Find a grave" publication contradicts itself on the spot.
Delta dunbar decorations.pngDelta dunbar ph ribbon.jpg

delta dunbar ph 7.png
"Find a grave" website contradicts itself.

So Dunbar's Purple Heart exists in a limbo where it exists and doesn't depending on where you look, so he is probably only one of the few soldiers to be awarded the Schrödinger's Purple Heart.

-BUD/S will make you swim in Mexican sewage.

SEAL swim in sewage.png

You are a young stud. Fit and patriotic. You want to serve the nation and become one of America's elite Navy SEALs, potentially being asked to sacrifice life and limb in dangerous training/missions. How does the Navy reward such an honorable and selfless attitude?

By making the BUD/S trainees swim in waters contaminated by Mexican PeePee-PooPoo.

SEAL coronado waters.pngseal coronado swimming.png

First phase of BUD/S is performed in Coronado beaches and has the highest drop out percentage of all BUD/S at about 70%. A known BUD/S saying is that it is "Wet, Cold, and Sandy". While this type of training will naturally weed out unfit candidates, it will also make BUD/S trainees very sick, whether they are fit for the job or not.

seal sewage map.png
For context, the distance between the sewage of hundreds of thousands of Mexicans and the Coronado Beaches is 12–15 miles.

Tijuana is a city of around 2 million people, and San Diego of around 3 million people, and their sewage treatment is... not great. It has been described as a sewage crisis in California.

The US authorities, when confronted with a new test that showed increased levels of pollution (which, reportedly, at times could be smelled and seen) decided the best course of action is to question the reliability of the test and show a brave defiance of basic microbiological reality and just stick warning signs in the sand.

“As a born and raised San Diegan and avid surfer, if the warning category is in effect but if the waves are truly epic, I’m probably going to continue surfing,” said county Supervisor Terra Lawson-Remer, whose district includes Coronado.

Which is fine and dandy if it's her choice, but BUD/S trainees in first phase are going to have to train in a brutal fashion that combines extreme physical exhaustion, sleep deprivation, and continuous exposure to the surf. When you combine those elements with untreated polluted water, it's no wonder that, even in highly physically trained young men, infections such as pneumonia are rampant with many trainees having bloody fluids in their lungs and infamously causing the death of trainee Kyle Mullen.

SEAL swim in sewage 2.png

In one particularly gnarly example, the BUD/S Hell Week that Bill Rapier belonged to had to be suspended because of water pollution with flesh eating bacteria (If you google it in Bing, be warned, it's gnarly) that almost caused several trainees to die, and one trainee to lose all the skin of his leg from thigh to calf.

So if you decide to join the Navy SEALs remember that in BUD/S, part of the game is going to be getting Mexican sewage water in every part of your body. Not for the weak, indeed. Don't go crying when your lungs make gurgling noises, that's just weakness leaving the body.

-Robert O'Neill probably mag dumped Bin Laden in the face. That's why they dumped the body in the sea.

seal robert o'neill drunk.jpegBin Laden ear pic.png

It's not commonly known but next to the fingerprint and the retina, ear biometrics exist and have existed for a long time. When Abu Zubayadah (AZ) was captured by John Kiriakou in 2002, John said something very interesting. AZ was fat and looked very different from his Passport photo, so an analyst at the CIA to identify AZ, asked Kiriakou to take a picture of his ear. The ear shape, according to Kiriakou, is like the fingerprint or the retina. No people have two equal shapes of the ear. Kiriakou got the ear picture, and it was confirmed that the person captured was AZ.

Now, the UBL raid was in 2011, and with the amount of video footage of Bin Laden that existed, the CIA surely had the ear shaped locked in. I found it in one YouTube search. So a theory is that Bob did not just canoe UBL, but he actually put so many rounds (maybe a mag dump) on his face, that even his ears were destroyed, because they had to take the time to PID Bin Laden with his height and DNA during the operation. Otherwise, if it was just a simple canoe, they could have asked for an ear picture like with AZ in 2002. Fucking gnarly shit. Way to go, Bob.

A face so smashed that is basically brains, gore, skull and hair would have been a massive scandal and shock if shown to the public, so that is probably is another one of the reasons why UBL's body was so quickly disposed of at sea and his picture not shown. Al-Zarqawi was killed, and his corpse picture released, so it's not like the administration was afraid of showing dead bodies.

Kyle Morgan: Former Delta, drug addict and liar. Cheated on his wife and OD'd on coke laced with fent inside his car, with his daughter behind also in the car, and had to be narcan'ed to life. His claim to fame was participating in the hostage rescue during Radisson Blu hotel terrorist attack in Mali in 2015. Makes claims that he was the main person rescuing American hostages, when in fact he was part of a five-man team. Also claims that he got blown up by a grenade, but the Marine that cleared the hotel with him claims that Kyle was just having a panic attack, probably fueled by drugs. His brain has been smoothed so much from drugs and alcohol, he can't even be coherent for patreon videos. (where he sells "tactics for Mass shootings" to police)

Andy Stumpf: Former SEAL team 6 officer, with a TBI, a podcast (Cleared Hot Podcast), and an infamous tendency to interrupt his guests. Divorced, suffering from a midlife crisis (does BASE jumping, new, expensive truck, sleeve-tattoo in his 40's) and works and shills for BRCC. He opined that both Mike Glover and Evan Hafer would have been "spectacular SEALs" because he was an officer and knows which way his bread is buttered. Andy is also obsessed with cuckoldry, penises, and homosexual humor.

Has also said on the Joe Rogan podscast, episode 720, at 20 minutes in, that innocent people tortured at Gitmo should all be executed in case they get radicalized by the torture it has been done to them, giving away the fact that he's fine with murdering innocents and is a torture apologist.

Mike Glover: Former Green Beret and Delta support. Founded the organization "American Contingency" which was classified by the FBI as a "terror" organization (make what you want out of that). Alleged bad teacher and scammer who overcharges people for gun classes he barely attends and gets away with it due to his clout. Obvious uptight blowhard. Had a DV incident with his younger girlfirend where he allegedly kicked the door down and broke her wrist. The charges were dismissed. But we got this funny pic of him in new "Urban Crye precision camo".

Do just the Navy SEALs have particular penchant for drama and egotism amongst some of its soldiers or is it a general issue with American special forces in general? These guys are notorious on their own merits but I am just wondering if there are others.
I'd venture to say this thread and the comedy would be more about the fakers. I vaguely remember some statistic saying the total of all seals throughout history is lower than the number of people claiming to be them today.

Does being a good liar make you kind of a cunt who will try to fuck your team member's wife when he's gone?

I think the lying thing (which is generally interpreted as shit-assery) is a function of how opbrorators get through their training:
I am so good at lying, I can lie to myself until I finish this shit.

There are for sure stone-cold killers who don't suck and wear a trident, but... Surprise - we hear about the ones with histrionics issues

The Green Berets and Deltas have their own issues. The consensus however is that most of the problems either stem from bad vetting, and/or alcohol and drug abuse. When you have alcoholics and addicts, however functional they may be, issues and drama are bound to arise. However, the SEALs, from the bin Laden raid fame, have attracted perhaps the type of people who'd join for the attention.
