The Last of Us Franchise - Because it's apparently a franchise now. This thread has been double-DMCA’d by Sony Interactive Entertainment.

Looks like they panicked about it leaking and officially announced it

The Last of Us Part II Remastered Coming to PS5 on January 19, 2024

>We’ve also included newly recorded director’s commentary across the campaign’s cutscenes from director Neil Druckmann, narrative lead Halley Gross, and actors Troy Baker, Ashley Johnson, and Laura Bailey. They assembled to offer insight into the story and its characters that mean so much to both our team and our fans, and we’re delighted to give fans even more understanding of the team’s approach to this story.

This is going to be a fucking goldmine :story:

Imagine if Druckmann admits in the commentary that the story is inspired by his early life in Israel and how he sees the Palestinians as a bunch of infected/zombies.

i wanna try the dumb roguelike thing that seems like entertaining for maybe 2 or 3 hours

And as expected, the amount of Stans defending this "Remaster", and the number of people that want nothing to do with this cash grab, are on showcase in the Likes/Dislikes of the reveal video:

Remastering a game that came out 2 years ago is fucking wild. They really just don't want this franchise to die yet, even though 2 murdered most of the good will.
It has to do with the HBO show. They want to re-release the game to tie in with the show coming back because HBO's massive marketing campaign using the brand is simply free advertising for them. It's the same reason why the Fallout 4 Remaster is being kept shelved because they want it to be released closer to the Amazon show for that sweet marketing synergy that Amazon will offer.

Given the fact that Cuckmann used a Church as a "Synagogue" I am wiling to bet I am more "Jewish" than he actually is.

He already admitted that TLOU 2's revenge is based on his early life reading about the Holocaust.

TLOU 3 will be based on his fee fee's about the Palistines.

It's proof that Niel legit is so booty-blasted by being told how shitty this game was he refuses to move on. To the point he's nuking the company and will nuke the TV show with it. He wants to force that until it's successful or he's removed from any sources of influence. Kind of like the Baby Geniuses guy honestly.

Either that or somehow they lost every asset they had but the Last of Us through incompetence and brain drain. I could buy either or tbh.

I might play it for a few hours if Fat Geralt is one of the playable characters.
Special Move: FAGGONE PUNCH!

I enjoy how the "developers commentary" is just specifically the people who literally or figuratively suck Neil off the most and not a single programmer or game designer (probably because they all quit at this point)

The real reason why he is ass mad is that he refuses to admit the truth... Joel was right. No matter how much Neil demonizes him in the sequel, word of god that the cure was 100% going to happen with Ellie's death or retcon with remasters and the TV show, it still doesn't change that Joel was 110% justified killing every single retard at that hospital.

At least the Skyrim re-releases added modding to consoles, added portability or were VR.

TLOU is just shitty director commentaries and slightly brighter lighting.
Hitman 3 added VR and a roguelite mode for free. I really don't understand why this can't be just a patch.

Personally, I can't wait to see how the HBO series handles the plot of the second game.

If the show follows the game plot even up to the point of the Joel-in-One, shit's going to burn all over the place and Druckman holds the bag because it's so transparently done to make Abby look better. We win.

If the show doesn't follow the game plot such that the Joel-in-One doesn't happen (he can still die, but it has to be justifiable like he falls through rotted floorboards and is consumed by the zombies), Druckman is forever assblasted because his perfect little plot wasn't translated to TV. We win.
