Careercow Donald J Trump - 45th/47th President of the USA, convicted felon, Epstein bro, Putin simp, serial liar, sore loser, cheat and the Chris-Chan of Presidents. THIS IS NOT A POLITICAL DEBATE THREAD.

This is probably gonna die on the technicality vine, even if it proves malicious intent to lie he's also gotta prove they knew about any acquisition attempts and that it prevented those attempts for it to go through. Effectively requires mind-reading of multiple parties who's actions could be construed as acting in their own self interest. Unless the Judge is gigabased and they find an email that verbatim says "Trumps about to sell Truth Social to [John Doe] and we can sabotage it with a coordinated smear campaign", its gonna be a nothing burger.

Which is a shame, because Journalists deserve to be promoted to the Astral Plane for their activities.

why that stupid bitch ever gave up on Twitter I will never know, probably simple stubbornness

Twitter vs. Truth is fucking Hollywood Boulevard compared to a church parking lot at 2am

Musk forgave his ban, so he could be there, right now, making journalists heads explode. But nah he's on some place almost as obscure as KF just a lone voice in the wilderness, dependent on Patriots.Win or news affiliates to relay anything he says because we wouldn't have heard it anyway. And people have already tuned out of most shit, so this is saying something.
Cause he had no idea Musk was actually going to buy twitter.

Once he got it up and running there was no way he could go back, Trump has to ride or die with his own creation or loose even more money. Maybe in 2024, just to really kick the president bid into high gear.

I haven't seen it posted here yet, but the source of this information is from public financial filings that the company made themselves. So this is extremely easy to disprove/approve. Screenshot_20231120_221648_Chrome.jpg

I can't imagine this goes anywhere. Just seems like a poor attempt to get into the headlines. I bet they'll file so many motions and appeals just to drag this out so they can shout "We'Re StIlL fIgHtInG ThE mAiNsTrEaM mEdIa!!" during campaign season.

Even after all of this time I just still can't believe that the site is named "Truth Social." What a terrible name. Literally worse than some name for a fake social media site you'd see in an episode of CSI or NCIS or some other show for zonked out boomer cattle.
Guy being smeared as a Russian asset and accused of wanting to be a dictator names his social media platform Pravda Social.

Here's the SEC filing: https://deadline.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Truth-Social-WM.pdf
The watermark's retarded, but it was the first one I found, so whatever. I'll work with it. The document is annoying, since it mostly discusses Digital World Acquisition Corp, not Trump's funny company name. I don't personally know what, other than Truth Social, falls under the TMTG banner, but I assume if I looked more closely at the SEC archives I could figure it out.

On page 154, TMTG (Historical) has 73,819 (in thousands) in Total other income (expense), but its actual net income (loss) is only 50,524. Maybe there's something else that's being purportedly looked at, but I really don't care enough to go digging beyond the quick and dirty.

The operating costs are around 23M, and the bulk of everything else seems to be 'change in fair value of derivative liability.'
Above it, 153, is the first six months of this year, whereas 154 is last year.

But I think wherever this story came from was misreading the findings, since I believe the losses would be reported in parenthesis. That would actually suggest a 50M net income for 2022 (whereas the first six months of this year has a ~23M loss).

It would be hard to definitively prove that the mistake was done with malice, but if you could get members of this Digital World group to testify that the negative press on this potential mistake influenced their decision-making, you could maybe point to damages. It'd be an uphill battle, but there might be something here.

Provided this doesn't get settled, he might have enough to get a judge to order e-discovery and I'm pretty sure some spicy source incest comes out.

I wonder how they are going to cope when they find out they've been taken for a ride again.

Milei wants to:
-legalize the sale of children and human organs
-abolish public healthcare, education, and transportation
-abandon monetary sovereignty and adopt the US dollar

Argentina was invited to join BRICS, but far-right president-elect Javier Milei has pledged to withdraw. The extremist boasted: "Our geopolitical alignment is with the U.S. and Israel. We are not going to align with communists"

In his platform, Argentina's extremist "libertarian" fascist president-elect Javier Milei calls for a Pinochet-style regime:
-"militarization of the institutions during the transition"
-building for-profit "public-private" prisons
-making it easier to imprison people
-mandating forced labor for prisoners
-reducing the age of being considered a minor
-creating a nationwide surveillance network of cameras with facial recognition technology

Responding to far-right president-elect Javier Milei's plan to adopt the US dollar as Argentina's currency to fight inflation, renowned development economist Ha-Joon Chang said this is “insane”, warning dollarization would make Argentina a US “colony”
Argy here. That guy is a fucking jew loving piece of shit.

I'd take Trump anyday instead of this piece of shit.

I love it when powerful millionaire people and massive companies fight each other by throwing stupid amounts of money at Lawyers. It makes me feel so happy to see Americans engaging in productive patriotic efforts.
The Americans engage in one of their favorite libertarian pastimes - lie, gossip, and slapfight about each other, then go crying to a court judge to sort their playground fight out in hopes of a big payout.

Immature, but it's FREEDOM :semperfi::deagle::semperfidelis:

So did it lose $73 million or not? If it didn't this still won't go anywhere unless the judge is based enough to let it proceed to discovery. Trump can't prove they knew it was bullshit and coordinated on it unless he gets to slide in dem emails and DMs
If it did not in fact lose $73 million, and no reasonable explanation exists for why all 20 media outlets reported the same phony number, then an unbiased judge would at least grant discovery.

I mean, they certainly didn't help, but the fact of the matter is that Truth Social has always been a dumpster fire and, like the other alt-social media platforms, are now basically unnecessary since X under Musk is now much more favorable to the right in terms of ToS and policy enforcement.
I imagine that this lawsuit will not go anywhere, mainly because I can't imagine the idiot being committed to it at the risk of exposing concrete numbers on how much money Truth Social actually makes (or, more likely, how bad those numbers are)

i think we do need to definitively prove that these platforms are all coordinating because they obviously are.
remember when alex jones was banned from every major platform all at the same time. like what kind of bullshit is that, they arent even trying to hide it.
it would be one thing if he was banned from one, then over the course of a week the rest banned him. it would be seen as a domino effect and not coordination.

This is what The Hill linked to:

They always do some cover your ass source-ception bullshit where they will say "the Wallstreet Journal reports 73 million dollars in losses this year." This way the only liable entity would be the WSJ and every outlet can claim their reporting is 100% factual, the WSJ DID report that figure.
