And then, without warning, he will slowly close his wide eyes and get comfy cozy for the last time, but not before he admits it. Never before, sweet Joshua. You will admit it on that day and only after will you earn your eternal cold sleep.

The dumbest thing about this sentiment is that MM's slander is aimed at silencing Twitter through tortuous interference. Media Matters is doing everything they can to cut off the gas to keep the lights on at Twitter because they don't like the speech coming from Twitter. MM's actions are 100% anti-free speech and this lawsuit is an act of self defense.

I bet you'd defend Liz-Fong Jones too if Null were to sue him.

Its because free speech exists for you to express yourself without threat of the government bearing down on you. Lies/Slander/Defamation isn't expressing yourself because you're doing this with malice. You're only lying because you want to cause harm to someone, so why should that be protected speech? As for hate speech, I agree. Saying "he's a nigger" is a lot different than "lets kill this nigger". The latter would count as hate speech IMO while the former would just make the guy saying it an asshole. But as with all things, I draw the line at literally advocating for harm.

I think the difference might be that if I go on X and say “@sallowhal’s restaurant served me rotten meat and put me in hospital” X won’t ban me, b/c free speech. BUT you can still sue me for trying to ruin your business if I’m lying. It’s just confusing b/c this time the business they are trying to ruin is X.

Everyone decent despises Media Matters, the far-left nuisance outfit that serves as a 'go, fetch' operation for its billionaire sponsors, falsely "correcting" news outlets as purported fact-checkers and neutral arbiters of truth. In reality, they are censors who have terrified mainstream media reporters into toeing their phony "narrative" version of the "truth" in order to not get named and shamed as "rightwing media."
Everything they do is partisan, not objective, they gladly set up a big booth at the Democrat National Convention in Denver in 2008 to show everyone where they stood. They are the brainchild of David Brock, who only recently left the outfit he founded.
Far from being just an ordinary partisan "fact-checking" outfit, they seem to have been caught dishonestly manipulating social media traffic results through fake accounts, according to a tweet by Jack Posobiec:

David Brock is a name I haven't heard in a while. He is an evil man that just so happens to be friends with sex pests and pedos. He's also the person you can thank for much of the polarization of politics and the censoring of social media. Oh, and the spam bots. Fuck this guy so hard.

Media matters have been allowed their free speech, musk didn't ban them.

If you go on twitter and express your opinion about the nigger problem and you end up losing your job it's not a free speech violation. It's a consequence of saying some stupid shit.

Consequences still exist with free speech.

Again, you are saying that anyone has a right to say anything they want - whether that be on Twitter, Kiwifarms or Truth Social, Fox News or CNN and indeed they peddle out amazing content loaded with lies.

And yet, there is no question this content effects others negatively, but you defend it under free speech.

But the only time this bothers you is when it hits the bottom line of someone you like. You throw around the term "tortuous interference" as if there is any evidence at all that MM sent any letter to anyone threatening anything, and there isn't. I think you just learned this term and are excited to use it.

MM are not silencing twitter - they have been reporting on what twitter does and allows. Criticism is not silencing, it is just uncomfortable for the party being exposed, and if you call that "tortuous interference" then you're a joke. There is no doubt whatsoever that MM and ADL have a hard-on for exposing Twitter and there is no doubt they are biased towards seeing Elon exposed but none of that is actually the cause of the advertisers leaving.

If you don't want to be exposed, then don't stand on the fucking street flashing everyone. Don't leave out your dirty laundry for everyone to riffle through and show it to the world.

And I'd love to see Liz-Foing Jones sue Kiwifarms, because he's got dirty laundry and it is KF that would come out the other side better off.
