We already knew the trailer wasn’t safe, that was obvious from the beginning. The cats evidently knew as well, seeing as they chose to give birth in the wilderness instead of where they get food (hopefully) and shelter. How far does a feral cat breeding project like this have to go before animal control steps in? Or will that never happen no matter how many poor cats she has because there’s no neighbors to report her? Also, what happened to those cat ladies that were mad at her last year? I don’t condone weening but it would be fun to see their reaction to this.

Anyways, she’s obviously lying. She absolutely could get her cats fixed if she really wanted, but she can’t even be bothered to make sure her pregnant cats stay inside. Checking for black mold should have been the first thing they did in that place, and they supposedly started remodeling it over a year ago.

I think that the organization would probably do some kind of check to see the conditions the cats live in before they would do the spay/neuter. They would see that black mold riddled dilapidated trailer with 15 cats and call animal control out there. I think that is why Pissy won't contact them. Couple that with Pissy's laziness and here we are. Those poor cats.

I suppose even if they did, Pissa could pretend that most of the cats are just strays that she feeds, since apparently they’ve become outside cats. I don’t remember them having collars or anything and they’re probably neglected enough to look the part. Animal control probably wouldn’t care enough to read her social media and catch her lying.

I bet if someone did force her to get the cats spayed, she’d be upset about it. She likes when they have kittens, so that’s more important to her than her cats’ health and well being. Reproductive cancers? Overcrowding? Not enough money to feed all the animals? Dangerously high amounts of cat piss? Generations of inbreeding? No problem, as long as Pissa gets more furry little toys!

I think this is optimistic. The organization is already stretched thin trying to provide low-cost spay and neuter; they don't have money, time, or resources to do home visits. They'll just take people at their word. They probably sterilize feral cats as part of a trap, neuter, release (TNR) program.

Polissa is so dumb, though, that she'd probably brag to the cat people about how many of them she has. That would be enough to prompt a report to animal control.

This development is enraging. Polissa and Joh were already an iffy source of laughs for me, considering the previous examples of animal abuse we've seen, but this may have pushed me over the top. I'm not sure that I can keep following this thread.

This has been obvious since the start of the thread, but for some reason this new update really hammers home the point that people like Polissa are not animal lovers. Hoarders love animals similar to the way narcissists love people, but much worse. They're just accessories. And not good ones either.

How the hell could she let this happen? I think it's worth noting that she posted a fair amount about the first litter but not about this one. Could be that it just happened, but her saying she doesn't know where they are raises some questions. Even she knows she's fucked up (not that she will take any responsibility). I am likewise really hoping she catches the ire of the catlady community again.

Luckily, I've never met anyone like Polissa. I have a relative who as a kid I considered a crazy cat lady. But she had 5 cats in a house that must have been 250 m^2 and had a walled-in garden for them to run around and catch mice (I don't even want to know how big the trailer is). She would foster kittens from the shelter regularly, but only for a few weeks at a time before they were put up for adoption. 5 still strikes me as too many, but I now feel bad for internally comparing people like my family member to crazy egoists like Polissa.

I'm going to be optimistic (as well as late) and say that this could be a turning point. Not for Polissa as a whole, but for reducing the feline hoard. She might just be at that point where she needs to give them up. Probably because they'll give up on the trailer and the cats can't go in the house. Or maybe because several will die.

Indeed. Obviously her reference to 'personal stuff' has to do with her marital issues, but interesting that she chooses Facebook to sperg about that rather than TikTok. I'd guess that she sees TikTok as a creative outlet (lol) where she is fostering an audience of people who care about her (and will donate money).
