why is this so accurate
This is amazing. I hope this guy makes one for CaspianReport and "Good Times Bad Times" next (probably could be a single video given they're basically identical "foreign guy who really hates Russia and constantly repeats himself about geopolitics").

Honestly, every big history/edutainment YouTuber is so memeable, there should be a whole ecosystem of parody videos (I know WhatIfAltHist got one, now RealLifeLore).

why is this so accurate
If his gig is using very obvious click bait 'Why no one lives in the valley of Udun" to spreg about what ever thing he's on, I can respect that. In more bad news, Scott has weighed on how seriously he took the historical aspect of Napoleon:

So far the best thing I've heard about this movie is that it's the most accurate depiction of a horse taking a cannonball to the chest yet.

Goes to show how meaningless the terms "left" and "right" really are.
They have issues as terms but they are both useful for making generalizations (sometimes flawed of course) of deep and complex political positions and stances. If you go by the original definition of it when this kind of political spectrum was first primarily used by the French which was typically described as Republican (Left) vs Monarchist (Right) the world is quite liberal with its republics everywhere and what not for the most part.

He'd probably have better luck in some regards (far worse in others) saying the DDR/GDR was rather than the USSR outright.View attachment 5512060
I remember reading that the BRD more or less immediately abolished the Hitlerjugend and the DDR basically took it and rolled it into the their gay Pioneer thing and former Hitler Youth made up the bulk of the middle of the state apparatus turns out being indoctrinated early makes it really fucking easy to reindoctrinated.

It's funny how ideas of classical liberalism, individual freedom and free markets, became associated with the right when (I imagine) the original monarchist right didn't value those things at all.

Essentially, strange how things changes over a mere century.

More Mr. Z political pseudo-intellectualism

Apparently America's not a nation because "muh cultural differences" while India exists.

He ignores a lot of things, including the vast differences between the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the United States of America. This man somehow thinks he's a historian.
