We assume that Chantal has been on a tourist visa, renewed every three months, but she’s never admitted so. And never admitted that the Thai trip was a visa run. What if the mysterious extension to the Thai stay was because she was trying to get a residency visa for Kuwait (what with her new marriage, perhaps IN Thailand, and some bullshittery around being Salah’s ‘business’ employee.)

Then she found they needed a health check and she failed the diabetes test. I’ve been wondering why she’s suddenly announced it now, and is desperate to ‘reverse’ it. I think she believes it can be reversed as she may have done with previous mild pre-diabetes, or at least been told you can. (Pre-diabetes can be reversed with disciplined diet and lifestyle.). I doubt she achieved this before, but I think she may have read about it.

She IS trying to REVERSE it, in her mind. Not treat it for what it is. She’s been talking about all her drastic dieting and fasting so that “next month” she can take a doctor trip and” hopefully not need the medication”. She’s said this. I don’t know for sure, but maybe that’s the only way to get this visa. To be diabetes free. Not to have diabetes, even if it’s under good control with treatment. I’m just guessing, here. The news articles about the ban aren’t that detailed.

I’m wondering if all this new diabetes scare is her suddenly knuckling down in the hopes of a getting her tourist visa changed to residency visa. It’s what she’s been wanting us to believe she has, isn’t it?

(Edit) and actually, according to Milk Tea, a visa cannot be ‘changed’. You must go out and come in again to get a ‘new’ type of visa. This adds more weight to the extended Thai trip being the instigation of all of this diabetes drama.)

The diabetes isn’t news- but holy shit, her levels are off the charts.

A normal person should have a fasting between 60-90mg/dL, and post-prandials around 130 or less. An acceptable number for a diabetic to hit is 70-130 fasting and below 180 after meals. Those aren’t good numbers, but acceptable for a sick person trying to control their sugars.



Chantal is well into the get-to-the-fucking-hospital zone with her “improving” “fasting” number being 215mg/dL. She’s claiming that her blood sugar after fasting for 24 hours is still over 200. That’s insane. Her cells are so stuffed with glucose she won’t even be close to danger of hypoglycemia for days.



She thinks she just has a little touch of diabetes she can easily reverse. Nah, fam. Her body is fucked, she’s on the road to a lost foot with no u-turn in sight. Whoever’s guessing diabetic retinopathy is probably right, she’s gotta be half blind by now.

I will not go into professional stuff but basically, my experience is primarily in type 1 diabetes but I have attended some type 2 cases. I am actually going to be concerned for the bitch because she did something that happens with type 1 but very serious type 2 called diabetic fog. Basically, it is when high sugar impairs your mental faculties and she did this in the water fast video.

If she survives this then I will be impressed because she is already a marvel. I have never seen those levels in my time. If I gave the numbers to a specialist they would say "How is she alive". If I could hazard a guess what has happened is her liver damage is so advanced that it has knocked onto her kidneys and affected her Cortisol production she was producing more but the higher fat has triggered a higher amount.

More cortisol means higher insulin resistance and it has triggered this. She should have someone monitor her sleep though I am not going to lie, this could be elevated cortisol, well a spike this prolonged is synonymous with renal failure.

I am not joking after seeing renal failure bitch has days and weeks and not months. Someone who put 2023 in the deadpool is batting well especially if you got Jen right too.

TFB that squinting is also from her inability to read at her appropriate age level. Work in high school teaching and SPED with mainstreaming and you'll know what I mean. Chantal has put herself in a real predicament. Diabetes is something that is tested for when Kuwait dishes out any visa other than a tourist visa. Therefore, she cannot go to a Dr because she will create a Kuwaiti health record which effectively bans her from ever getting a work visa or residency. In addition, any Dr worth his/her salt would also want to deal with all the other medical issues she presents. She doesn't have medical insurance to cover this, and even if she did, the policy would cover her for stabilisation before she returned home for treatment.

When you are seriously ill abroad as a tourist, life threatening diseases are treated enough to get you home.

Even if she does have the money to return home, she can't physically do that journey on her own, and it is very likely she is too sick to travel without medical intervention. I think she knows all this, and she is utterly, utterly fucked. She has fucked this up royally.

She can buy insulin and metformin over the counter in Kuwait, no need for prescription, can even buy online.

The tricky part is that A1c check the average of the past 3 months, even with Metformin she won't get down to normal numbers, maybe insulin for 3 months? Coke? Coke and Ozempic?

This whole Kuwait arc is so totally foolishly stupid on her part. Colossal levels of stupid, from every direction. It has to be one of the most uncomfortable, least hospitable placed in the entire world for her. The heat, the accommodations, the fucking burka, the lack of anything interesting there whatsoever (I died when Salah pointed out the beautiful mall in the distance that was the skyline on their anniversary dinner out. When a mall is the notable thing in a romantic view, you know it's bad.*), the visa challenges, the healthcare challenges, the restrictive culture in general, the inability to drive (legally; and consequences that I imagine are significant if caught or in an accident), the flight times if you need to get home in a hurry. There is not one rational reason a person in her state/status should be there.

I get why she's not in Canada (another harebrained decision that just worsened her overall life was bankruptcy, though I don't recall if there was info on the size of her debts; and if she skipped out on repayment let's amp up the degree of dumbness of decision exponentially).

I mean, I think even a "drama of true love thwarted by 6000 miles and just as much red tape" arc would have been more profitable. She could've not tossed out Peetz - or gotten a little apartment for herself (yes Kuwait rent is much much cheaper, but for the same size of the apartment she has in Kuwait she wouldn't have been paying the rent she was at the Villa (though I guess (?) she split it with Peetz, so maybe close, but whatever). Point is, she'd have a more stable living situation, wouldn't have to lie (whether to the audience or government, take your pick) about it, would have healthcare options, a comfortable climate, her car/ability to do something without being led around by her son paramour, and some content that had more of a storyline. And with more income she might actually have been able to pay down her fractional remaining debt after bankruptcy. The problem with metformin is she is so far gone and she is producing too much cortisol which in effect causes higher insulin resistance and hypertension. Her kidneys are failing which is creating this acceleration in symptoms.

Quite a few of us have predicted kidney failure is coming since she ballooned. There is a point where the patient cannot be helped and Chantal is so far gone that losing weight will not cure her. Her liver is so fucked it cannot repair and her kidneys are dying very fast.
