Diabetic diet and weight loss diet are two completely different things and Gunt only (barely) knows about the latter.

In the Nader era, when it seemed like a drug-induced heart attack would be what took her out, she was live streaming every moment she didn't have that gross snaggletooth Egyptian goblin in her mouth. We got used to the idea that her eventual death would surely be live on camera, and archived on the farms forever. It started to feel like it was our right, as long-time observers, to watch it happen.

A diabetes death is more awful, yet less dramatic, than a cardiac event. And it isn't especially fun to watch, though I do still get endless wonderment out of her bottomless and ever-worsening idiocy. Our best hope now is that Salad "Weekend at Bernie's" her for a while, to keep the gravy (ha) train coming.

This is my struggle right now.

Maybe I am just a really big asshole, but after all the hours we have logged following this fat bitch I absolutely DO feel like it's our right for the curtain call to happen on livestream. So many other major events have, and damn it after this boring ass Kuwait arc we deserve it.

I just had a conversation with my vet a couple weeks ago as my dog is getting older and close to that time. I felt bad then, too, because I had to admit I prefer when death is an event, rather than a process. I don't have the patience for a long drawn-out process and every death I've experienced in my life, including of my dad, has been a sudden event. It just....happens, and then you move on. There's not weeks or months leading up to this slow die off.

I don't remember who said "die or don't" but that's kinda where I'm at with her. Her cycles have worn thin. So has her bullshit. Just. Enough. Already. If she wants to die, then die. Damn.

She never fasted EVER. She considers keeping her excessive eating off camera fasting.

She didn't even do the Ramadan fast. During that time she only posted during the sanctioned morning or evening meal. If she had fasted during the day she would have gone online talking about what it was like not to eat or drink for 10 hours straight. The only time it was even mentioned was when someone in her chat asked how it was going and she said "It's going OK." A self-confessed food addict would have a bit more to say about it.

And it very well may be that it's not the actual diabetes she has to worry about but heart failure which could kill her sooner. Her breathing gets worse by the day and she struggles to breathe just sitting down. It's hard to tell how much of her gigantic stomach is pure fat versus fluid. She could very well just drop dead one day. It happened to my dad and he was nowhere near the shape she's in. He didn't have the health issues she does. He got up to get his morning cup of coffee and collapsed and that was it. It truly does happen that fast sometimes.

In truth though, her readings are so high, she’ll never achieve a medication free normal A1c again in her remaining lifetime.

She never saw a doctor, at least not in person. She might have talked to a phone healthline person if they have those in Kuwait. She will absolutely rely on YouTube creators for advice without checking their credentials to give advice in the first place. She’s not fronting up to a drs scale if she can avoid it, and Salah will back her decision to get free advice off the internet to save money. The most she’ll pay for is maybe a creators book, which even then she won’t read past the introduction.
