Plagued Waifu culture - Cartoon fuckpillows and the men (and women) who love them

Actually, concerning this Generaloberst Heinz Guderian dude, I sort of feel with him...

You know, with him being a weeaboo as well as a Wehraboo, he probably would have an extremely hard time finding a flesh and blood girlfriend who shares his hobby/obsessions. Military stuff is in our world rare, very very rare, when it comes to things girls tend to be interested in. In comparison, functional analysis and group theory are nearly the handbags and fashion magazines and petits fours with pink icing among interests.*)

So, if Guderian is among those who want a girlfriend who takes part in their hobbies, his choice of an anime waifu is somewhat understandable. Of course, he could move to Israel or join the foreign branch of the NRA (he's Italian) or try to find a military lady over the internet... but still -- even a girl soldier may stifle a yawn when he tries to begin a lengthy discussion about the tactics used in the Battle of Kursk over cake and hot chocolate.

So him and Akiyama Yukari it is! :heart-full:

*) I'm male and I like me some petits fours with pink icing, though...

I love this robot waifu cartoon

Glad to see all that education is being put to good use that will benefit society as a whole.
Professor: "Now that we've covered Newtonian and Lagrangian Mechanics, we will proceed to the Hamiltonian Formulation, which will put us right on track to quantum mechanics, as, save for the rarely used Feyman Path Integral Method, it is the only way to derive the time dependent Schrödinger Equation..."

Student Satoshi (thinks): "Great! I can use this to develop satellite-based quantum encryption systems."

Student Naoko (thinks): "This will be important once I get to working at CERN."

Uchimura Koichi (thinks): "...and she will need a pressure sensor in the chest area to enable appropriate responses to fondling and groping and I'll need to develop an algorithm to keep track of her arousal state and there should be a variable for her mood, maybe it could be written in Python, and I'll add hidden camera lenses in the eyes so she'll respond to what her owner looks like -- um, no, scratch the last idea..."

Toru Honda is Japan's mightiest advocate of true love in 2D form. He wrote half a dozen books on the subject. In Patrick Galbraith's 2014 book The Moe Manifesto, Honda challenges the notion that 2D love is mere compensation for 3D love:

"People don't imagine a relationship with an anime character because they couldn't find a girlfriend, but rather they fell in love with a character in the first place. Any relationship with a human woman after that is compensatory. We have grown up in a media environment where it is possible to fall in love with manga and anime characters. Some people never stop feeling love for them."

He seems to be talking about us in that last sentence.

Honda also offers a bold prediction for the future of 2D love:

"Some day soon this hierarchy of "real" and "artificial" will break down... The future is knowing that we are in love with fiction and accepting it. We don't have to "wake up" just because someone tells us that the "real" world is inherently better than the world of moe fantasy. Someday we will be able to accept that the world of dreams is a good world."

What do you think of Honda's assessment and prediction? Is 2D love more than just compensatory? Will people someday accept that the world of dreams is a good world?

I think now is a good time to add a Dystopia Rating

Until your VR contract is not only better than "real" reality but you can also ensure nobody comes along while you're dreaming and pulls out the plug, waifuists are just dreaming.

How insane are you, anyway?

He's quoting the Reddit post, which presumably he didn't write himself. Still, I'd recommend putting it in quotes in the future.

The entire world is copypasta at this point. Next time cops are kicking down my door I will just yell at them to fuck off because they're just copypasta. Okay?

This thread seems like the optimal time to balance out my ratings with autistic/islamic/power level ratings.

I am part of the waifu "community" so feel free to ask me about my autism, but I want to tell you guys about a clusterfuck that happened on 8chan's waifu board called "trapgate". Unfortunately I was unable to get screencaps of it before the board was nuked. What happened was two of the moderators apparently met at a convention and fucked, one was a tranny hence the name.

The entire board spiraled out of control and basically for the next while the board ended up just becoming a huge clusterfuck of people yelling at each other and pretty much killed the board. There is now much less of a community there and it's slowed down tremendously. Even the word "polygamy" is going to start a shitstorm.
I was wondering how the fuck this thread got the Infected tag.

P.S. Your waifu is shit.

"So I met my first waifu Hatsune Miku when I was 15 when a friend introduced me to her music. I thought about her a lot and over the years it turned into a relationship. I'm 24 now, and I met another girl in college. We were just friends first but things escalated, and we had sex. We've been sleeping around casually now, but I think my waifu is starting to suspect I'm cheating. What should I do? I want to keep both but I don't know how to make that happen."
