I really don't like comparing people to Chris because it's so overdone and rarely warranted, but the "I'm Authentic" cope is absolutely 100% a symptom of unwarranted narcissism. An appeal to authenticity, very interesting. I suppose it isn't entirely without merit, these 'people' are so visibly tawksic (in the same way a poison dart frog is) to everyone around them that it can't possibly be a grift. If it were a grift it'd be one of the dumbest fucking grifts to attempt, sure it semi-works in DSP's case but even in his field there are vastly more grifting let's players who entirely out earn him.

In short while the cope is technically true in that they are genuine and that genuineness is on full display, in their actions and definitely not their fucking words, that doesn't help their case as they're just showing everyone that they're nutjobs and not just an edgy or somewhat abrasive person. Anyone who says they work out for 2-3 hours spends most of that time standing around, a lot of people who barely worked out tend to exaggerate what they used to do like this. (The only people I know who do this legitimately are powerlifters who take very long breaks in between sets and Nick is not that)

His advice on working out is retarded too, he says it burns more calories then you get hungrier and want to eat more. Its almost as if you are supposed to keep eating at a reasonable level and just deal with being more hungry. Having a higher muscle mass increases your basal metabolic rate, meaning you naturally burn more calories just by existing. High intensity workouts also increase your BMR for days after you work out. All of these things counteract him saying "at 35 if you breathe around food you gain weight", your BMR does drop as you age, however it can remain at a high level if you just exercise instead of doing absolutely nothing like he does.

That is not even getting to his retarded ideas of dieting which include eating 600 calories a day (some of that in candy) and drinking the rest. If he is telling the truth about this and bragging about his body fat being 6% it explains a lot of why he started looking like shit so quickly, he is completely malnourished, he says himself he doesn't exercise and he is drinking over 1000 calories of alcohol everyday.
