One Piece - I'm Gonna Be the Pirate King!

I feel the issue is the fact the Elders don’t really explain why, despite knowing about the Gum Gum Fruit, they did not seem to be active in dealing with it. Especially considering who it belongs to currently.
Straw Hat:
Dead at Loguetown but for Dragon's intervention.
Dead at Sabaody but for Kuma's intervention.
Dead at Marineford but for everybody's intervention.
Fought and defeated the World Government's most elite kill squad in Water 7.
Snuck into and escaped from the World Government's most secure prison, Impel Down.
Fought and defeated the World Government's super weapons at Sabaody.
Since Sabaody, has remained mostly outside the jurisdiction of the World Government.
World Government still tried to assassinate Luffy in Wano.
Was let go by Smoker at Alabasta.
Was let go by Garp at Water 7.
Was let go by Aokiji at Long Ring Long Land.
Was let go by Fujitora at Dressrosa.

I mean, let's be honest here, Luffy and crew has either has strong people protecting them, defeated the World Government's strongest forces, or made Marine allies who let them go. Short of sailing out to Wano themselves, there isn't much more the Elders could have done to apprehend/kill Luffy.

Considerong they sailed an armada there just to watch an elephant do nothing, I’m almost surprised they did not set sail to Wano themselves.

But as said I expect we’ll get a reason why Imu has been so very lenient regardibg things.

Which is also why I think the lack of Nikka build up really isn’t a problem in the long run either.

So it just raises a bunch of questions that I don’t think we a meant to be asking and that risk making the work weaker in hindsight.

I hopeI’m wrong in this regard.
My cope is that the WG being a global machine they can't simply drop everything over the Gum Gum fruit. Especially since it hasn't awakened in 800 years and no one even knows about the awakening. Combine it with some old fashioned hubris on the Elders part.

So pondering Skypea and the facr we know it is basically the overarching plot and themes in minature…

I think Imu might end up getting what they want in the end and leaving on a happy note.

And Enel got to basically become a pirate and man a ship.

I think that could happen.

I really think Imu might be ‘stuck’ in the holy land in a sense currently

Bro, do you really want who may be a devil or some other nutty evil entity running loose? The world might unironically be safer having Imu stuck in Mary Geoise and just have underlings do his bidding. The world is still really shitty and can kill you without mercy, but Imu may actually be really dangerous.

(Although I'm still under the impression Imu's actually physically weak and will go down to a single punch by Luffy, which is why is sounds like there's a lot of barriers to get through just to even lay a finger on 'im.)

I think this is likely, it would make the moment where Luffy punched a Celestial Dragon pre-timeskip Rhyme.

The WG doesn't want to draw too much attention by going after Luffy any harder than they already have. They value their secrecy and the Nika fruit is part of it.
If they sent a Buster Call his way (again), people would wonder what was going on.

It isn't just value secrecy.

Secrecy is their Primary Plan, and honestly it isn't a bad one.

It has worked for 800 Years, and honestly it took a guy who was outright willing to Troll them with his last breath to fuck over the plan.

The cycle of "Kuma must suffer" keeps chugging along. I was expecting a bit more setup on how she got the age age fruit since it seems like one of the power fruits. Aside from that, nothing that I wasn't expecting (well, except for how he became the tyrant king and was neat to see he had visited every place where he sent the strawhats), more of a "you can just see that train hitting the end of the tracks right about now".

Vegapunk: Oh, I’m going to turn you into a peaceful murder robot that will have death lasers but only peaceful death lasers.

Dragon: Vegapunk would never make a nuke!
Ivankov: What if it was a nuke of peace?
Dragon: …GOD FUCKING DAMMIT!

So this explains the root of the Pacifista. But who turned the living Kuma into a cyborg? It doesn't sound as if Vegapunk had that intention.

Also Kuma's adopted home almost suffered the same fate as Luffy's, Ace's and Sabo's home. Though lucky for them Kuma was there. I wonder how far that idea spread over the world

I could see the Celestial Dragons telling nations that just to fuck with them.

It was likely a sacrifice of some kind. I imagine a Marine/Celestial Dragon had something over Kuma demanding he turn himself in exchange for something he valued. Perhaps someone had custody of Bonney at some point and a condition of him turning himself in was her release. Vegapunk would likely have been ordered to turn Kuma into a Pacifista and then in some act of defiance, granted Kuma the capability to veer off of his programming as some silent "Fuck you!" to the World Government.

I believe Akainu said something when he recovered Bonney from Blackbeard about her escaping so that might be the case.

At the end here, Tekking101 theorizes that doing stem cell research on Bonney might've lead to the satellites' existence, because apparently Lilith, York, and Atlas look like Ginny.

However, it looks like actual hair colors for Lilith and York are more like sandy-colored hair, while Atlas' left half is about pink. And Atlas does bear resemblance to Ginny when she was younger.

So Atlas I can believe, but not so much the others. Though I won't lie, I was wondering why the two had similar hairstyles even though I was thinking Atlas was looking more like Uta when she first showed up.

So many of you weren't using spoilers that I almost want to go find that comic where Ace gets raped by Blackbeard just to punish you all.
Been a while since you used that threat.

I am starting to suspect the hidden memories that Bonney got to observe include Kuma's death. I think original Kuma is dead and the various Pacifistas are all that is left. The one we're used to seeing is a prototype model that was made for the more pure purpose he and Vegapunk were talking about so it ended up with a more human side and possibly some of Kuma's memories but the original is dead and gone before the duplicate ever crossed paths with the Straw Hats, likely due to an agreement with the World Government.
