She does go to doctors though. The same way she goes to therapists - once and never follows through. But she must have met a lot of them, based on all her emergencies and surgeries and the more or less exotic diseases she got and somehow survived.
I don't think she's particularly avoidant of them.
I agree with you. She goes to doctors.
I however have gotten the impression that she only goes if something is actually bothering her. Stomach pain from eating all the cheese in Canada, chest pain from doing coke, not being able to breath due to slight cold and morbid obesity, abdominal pain from ovarian cysts, psych ER due to being unable to eat all feelings away that particular day, hell even her primary care doctor when she was going bald bald.
Never just for a check-up.
She then follows instructions/comes to follow up appointments depending on how much said ailment is bothering her. She did show up for surgery because those cysts (or whatever the hell she has surgery for) were probably really bothering her. She does use her CPAP more often than not (from what we know) because she will suffocate without it. She's on and off her inhalers depending on how much she feels out of breath from boiling corn at 5 am. Psych meds are also on and off depending on how bat shit crazy she feels.
Then there is shit shit doesn't follow up with like Ozempic, therapy, diets, hormone replacement etc. Because she can't
feel the ailments that require those treatments/interventions.
Yes, you could argue that she can actually feel them (tired, thirsty, unable to move, unable to handle anything, still bald etc.) but let's remember who we're talking about here. If she would be in touch with what being fat does to you and feels like she'd have lost weight at 14 years old.
To my point.
She has been talking a lot about doctor appointments and hypertension and diabetes (she did NOT buy that glucometer on a whim and then go to the doctor, the glucometer is for sure
after a doctor's visit) and blood tests. Really since Thailand. The "boil" in Thailand might have just been a boil that stopped bothering her as much after they opened it up, by the grace of God it didn't get infected and out of sight, out of mind for her.
But what's with the blood tests in Kuwait? The talk about hypertension? Talking about follow ups?
She either has symptoms that she's not talking about (don't you die Chantal!

eat those Marigolds!

) or she started some health declaration process for whatever reason (married in Thailand after all?).
If she's having symptoms it's bad. It's not like eating a ton of crap, having some stomach pain, taking a shit and you good to go again.
No one will convince me she's just having blood work done because she cares about her health.
