Yeah, its not that they CAN'T offend people its that they WON'T offend them. One episode on the disaster that is Biden is all they need to offend everyone again. Hell they spent entire seasons on Trump and even jabbed at Obama once or twice (even if it was VERY tame and never directed at him directly).
Actually they did go hard on Obama.
>>Introduced into the South Park universe as a literal criminal who conned his way into the White House and literally stole hope (in the metaphor form of "The Hope Diamond") from the country.
>>Had Obama orchestrate the outright murder of an innocent FBI Agent for the crime of saying wealthy men shouldn't be whore mongering sexual predators when Obama tried to cover for his sexual deviant Hollywood/athlete celebrity friends by concocting a scam where they claim they were demonically possessed by an evil Incubus spirit, for why they were whoring around and sexually harassing every woman in sight.
>>Was outright willing to rape Kyle when Cartman and Randy started a faux Tea Party movement over the demand that the nation adopt a standard for dick measuring that ensures that their micro-penises would be deemed "above average", to stop them all because Cartman casually and randomly proclaimed "fuck Kyle" while giving his demands to Obama.
Not to mention that the 2012 election episode outright had Cartman be used as a patsy by Disney and Obama proper to steal the election from Romney complete with the proof of the election theft being destroyed so that everyone could just say Obama won when Romney instead won.
But yeah, they really fucking need to do an anti-Biden episode ASAP because they clearly are showing themselves violating their own ethos as established in Cartoon Wars (IE everything is fair game or nothing is....)
You telling me they are editing the old episodes for this shitty name retconn?
Not yet.
But only because they would have to go though god knows how many episodes to redub them (and edit animation as well), which would have to be done before they even THINK about replacing all commercially available releases with the changed version. And no one wants to do that, especially given the number of DVD sets out there in the wild and the PR nightmare that would ensue if they not only change the TV/streaming episodes, but also physical releases.
Anyone else know if they're gonna tackle the Israel-Hamas situation? I'm still not watching Nu-Park but I wonder how PC Principal would deal with the situation; you know being caught between defending Muslims while also having to deal with the rising anti-semitism (especially among people who he used to be affiliated with) and the fact that he's batting for what's possibly the most regressive religion in in the world.
They'd probably do an episode where Cartman has to rescue Kyle and his family from a bunch of college antifas types who are trying to kill the family ala the first Purge movie, with Cartman as the black homeless guy from the film who has to save them. With the whole point being that while Cartman may hate the Jews, he considers Kyle to be HIS Jew and no one but Cartman can torment him.
