𝕏 / Twitter / X, the Social Media Platform Formerly Known as Twitter / "MUSK OWNS TWITTER"

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I don't know what's more horrifying the fact Democrats politicians are pushing this nonsense or the fact a large plurality of normies will try and actually defend this saying that terrorism propaganda is not free speech.

I find it very ironic that any politician is complaining about profiting from misinformation and terror, seeing at that is their entire lifestyle.
As for the censorship, it is disgusting how they try and circumvent the First Amendment by threatening and coercing platforms. If it were up to me, they would be caned for attempting to undermine the Constitution, but unfortunately I am not yet Emperor of America so there’s no consequences for any of these people.
The Democrats of ten fifteen years ago would have been rightfully flamed by their side for their own stupidity and demands for censorship. But because of how the left vs right propaganda has been pushed the reasonable Destiny tier leftist has disappeared and is replaced with Vaush and Hasan piker tier level human beings. You know people who just want to win at all costs and think any criticism is hate from evil right wingers.

Musk has the opportunity to do something funny as hell here.
>agree to increase censorship and start banning "undesirables"
>immediately ban the accounts of all House Democrats
>hilarity ensues

I know he won't, but still.
Don't get my hopes up
Well, that's fucking embarrassing. And slightly unnerving with how blatantly they want to enforce censorship.

Not even American but that's foul.
I mean look they want to be more like the EU t
Democrats usually defend censorship by saying the 1st Amendment only protects speech from government intrusion; a corporation censoring the people is just fine. I wonder what their defense will be now that the government is blatantly interfering with free speech.
LOOK NAZIS ARE LITERALLY BAD AND WE NEED TO STOP THEM SIMPLE AS!!!!!!!!!!!~ random lefty fag on Reddit

Maybe instead of restricting speech, people should be told not to believe everything they see on social media
They want the public to believe everything they read so that they can control the average person's beliefs by controlling what they read. People actually learning to sift true information from false information is the worst outcome for a poltical propagandist.

They can’t actually make him do anything as he’s protected by the 1st Amendment.
I wouldn't be so sure of that. Note how they worded the letter. Namely the stuff about how this is aimed at hamas and 'hamas propaganda' as defined by the US government and making it a specific point to mention how they're legally recognized as a terrorist organization and have been since 1997. Note that in the US you do not have a righ to 'free speech' that actively promotes terrorism or a terrorist organization. That shit will get you a visit from the feds and a prison sentence if you don't stfu about it quickly. This changes things and could allow the government to invoke any number of anti terrorism laws to go after musk and twitter claiming they're actively supporting hamas as a terrorist organization, disseminating their propaganda and siding with them against israel. Hell there is probably some law against US companies doing shit directly against israel the feds can use to start shit if they want to. Point is, this is one of those situations where if the feds want to make an issue of it and cause problems for musk and twitter they very much can. No matter how sketchy invoking anti terrorism laws to do it might be

> Have 1st Amendment which states in plain unambiguous terms.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
> Still decides to do it anyways.
This may not be a law but it definitely is a stern warning. X will either need to quickly establish the largest lobbying group in history or soon it will just coincidentally find itself getting things like audits and compliance checks.
Also absolutely hate the use of the word misinformation. The word is lie not disinformation, misinformation, half truth, omission of fact, ext. Either a statement is true or it is a lie.
