Anyway, tangent to the topic of this bowling ball-headed sperg, I have found out that there is a Copr repository for Hyprland and its adjacent software for Fedora. You may find it here. You can see some discussion about the repository in Hyprland discussions here. I have been unable to compile stuff like xdg-desktop-portal-hyprland or hyprshot, whereas the repository works great and now I am able to do stuff like screensharing through Pipewire.

Hot recommend for Hyprland. I can see why Drew is obsessed with it. He is just jealous because he cannot make a project as good as it.

The story is long and autistic, but this stems from a legal case ongoing since 2017 over a trademark between the Software Freedom Conservancy and the Software Freedom Law Center (which itself seems to be frivolous and retarded to me, but that's another story).

Bradley Kuhn (the blog post author) alleges that Eben Moglen (founder of SFLC) is trying to conduct Kuhn's deposition as a form of "harassment" to embarrass him about being bi. Even though nobody fucking cares that you're a flaming faggot.
Also his evidence that he has PTSD from Moglen is from his sex therapist (no I'm not making this up).
In any case, they managed to get the protective order preventing Moglen from attending the deposition granted, so whatever.

Stallman has some... eccentric... opinions that follow from his principles as an ungodly lolbert/communist hybrid. Fortunately, he does not shit up every single PR discussion with these opinions, because he keeps them to himself like a respectable human being. He simply opts to only politisperg on raw HTML pages in a clearly-marked section of his personal site. If Drew did this, he would not have a thread here.

As far as the porn and bestiality, pProbably the sort of whinging advanced by people like Jennifer Riggins at NewStack. The original URL from April 2021 now has an editor’s note stating "This post has been temporarily pulled offline pending further editor review." Apparently two and a half years isn't enough time to do a review, but maybe they have other priorities. Or they're just incredibly thorough in their fact-checking. Or, since archive snapshots still have the full article all through October 2022, until the October 2023 snapshot shows it removed and replaced with the editor's note, they left it up as long as possible. It didn't take long for this stuff to spread when mainstream tools like Steven J. Vaughn-Nichols were eagerly repeating and amplifying it. (Nichols had already echoed a number of people in saying that Stallman "defended Jeffery Epstein's behavior".)

Advocates of open source inclusiveness felt sidelined this March when the Free Software Foundation (FSF) reelected Richard Stallman to its board of directors. And this week, the FSF doubled down on this controversial decision in a statement on the election of Stallman.

This move echoes a lot of the issues that the open source community continues to reckon with, including a toxic environment toward women and an overall lack of transparency.

In this piece, we chronicle the response over the last three weeks of the tech community to this decision and talk about the very large steps the open source world still has to take to improve its governance, inclusion and openness.

Stallman has posted comments on his website, in which he criticizes laws against child pornography, necromancy, bestiality and incest, throws around inaccurate terms for child rape like “voluntarily pedophilia” and writes at length disputing legal ages of consent, and has dehumanized both disabled and trans people in his writing.

And his public behavior has been equally worrisome. According to dozens of witnesses, Stallman actively sexually harassed women students and faculty at MIT, for 30 or more years. To the point that women have passed down RMS-specific avoidance tactics like he hates plants so faculty should fill their offices with them or “If RMS hits on you, just say ‘I’m a vi user’ even if it’s not true.”

It had allegedly reached the point that he was asked so many times to stop asking out colleagues and students that he decided to create and hand out a business card to non-verbally harass.

Much of the horror stories from alleged victims of Stallman have been gathered by a Geek Feminism Wiki, by MIT grad Selam G. in two Medium posts from 2019, and within a Twitter thread by Sage Sharp, senior director of diversity and inclusion at the Software Freedom Conservancy, as well as accusations in public forums dating back over a decade.

It goes on to shill "Coraline Ada Ehmke, founder of the Organization for Ethical Source" and pushing the "Contributor Covenant".

I don't recall offhand any of Stallman's comments regarding eugenics, but I'm sure those have been given the same fair and balanced analysis as all of the above.
