Jirard Khalil / The Completionist / ThatOneVideoGamer - Obsessive Compulsive Autist involved in a $780k case of charity fraud

I mean, just looking at them, you can clearly see where the money has gone, right down the fat fucks bottomless hole. But on a side note, Oooooo boy! It's youtuber apology bingo time again! I'm stoked. My predictions are: Crocodile tears, not actually owning up to wallet raping his audience, and an animal or two that he snatched up off the streets.

Don't forget the big deep sigh right as the video begins and talk about "muh mentals".

Open to suggestions on what the diagnosis of the week is gonna be. Depression, anxiety, fucking BPD or something. Oooo he could be original and claim Schizophrenia.

"The voices in my head told me to lie,"

And finally, ending the whole thing with "I'm going to take some time away to work on myself" or some shit like that.

Watching Muta's video and the amount of "I didn't watch the video BUT WHY *question that is answered in the video*" tweets honestly pissed even me off. Kudos to Karl and Muta, a lot of people are truly braindead.
And suddenly, for no reason at all, simultaneously, all of his big YouTube friends and influencers all decided to be completely quiet about it. Makes you think.

The question I have now is: Who's next? I said before that Jirard could be the first true domino and may be the beginning of a proper purge. What do you think?

That middle one gives off a strong SJW vibe, doesn't it?
Indeed they do. That's because the entire community is like that:

Oh my god transphobia.png

Limited Run, VGHF, youtube ecelebs, all these people are connected and they're all left leaning(in fact when they saw the video exposing jirad(iirc), they were too busy seething over how the australian was supposedly a right wing bigot). You genuinely can't have a presence in that community if you're not left leaning, they will ban you if you deviate from the right opinions, or for that matter, if you contact developers without their permission.

They run a tight ship there, no CHUDS allowed.

Here's something the VGHF or other preservation schitzos will never admit: A huge chunk of those "unavailable games" are shovelware made for either a quick buck or made to promote a new movie, tv show, food, etc. These people just love to throw around the idea that *gasp* not every game is "preserved" simply for the fact that it makes for good fear-mongering. No one is losing sleep over the fact that Sesame Street: A-B-C for the NES hasn't received a re-release, let alone a Limited-Run-sanctioned physical re-release that comes with a bunch of extras and costs $100.
I'm of two minds of this. One, there's plenty of good games that are left in the aether, either because the rights are in some kind of hellscape limbo or they are subject to the whims of the publisher, who may or may not give a fuck, or actively hate it. An example would be Konami, and all the video games they're holding onto, stuff like Hagane, Bloody Roar, the Bomberman games that don't end in R, Bonk(including a nearly finished unreleased 360/ps3 game they arbitrarily cancelled), Adventure Island, Snatcher, the turbografx library in general, a bunch of games, yet all of that gets passed over for a rerelease in favor of the Felix the buttfucking cat collection, quite possibly the definition of shovelware.

On the other, they really just want clout. They get a very nasty attitude when their roms aren't praised to high heaven, even when it's something very niche like an unreleased game boy game or a sports game for a bike accessory. So whatever they have in mind wouldn't likely benefit anyone but them and their immediate circle.
NINE YEARS AGO FOLKS.png
You can see this by checking the VGHF head guy's twitter, or if you happen to be in a discord that dude is in anytime they release a rom, they tend to seethe.

Not to get too off-topic with other people but they are all connected. Yacht Club Games has worked with a known financial scammer, Jake Kaufman aka Virt who did the Shantae OSTs, all the Shovel Knight OSTs AND Jirard's boy band Big Bad Bosses.

Jake started a kickstarter for a VR project about some music opera called Nuren. He also took the money and ran and never issued refunds for a project he essentially said "lol we aren't doin it anymore, too bad".

So I doubt Yacht Club would sever ties with Jirard when they've worked with Jake and continue to work with Jake as recent as Mina the Hallower, which is also getting Kickstarted and Shovel Knight Dig. Jake also doing the Big Bad Bosses second album.

Note: Jake left the internet back during COVID times, deleted his Twitter and then someone squatted on the twitter handle: Virtjk
I don't think it's been mentioned but The Completionist has or had a girlfriend. Her name is Amanda Flagg. She seems to have been with Jirard for over 7 years now. I wonder if she knew anything about the charity?
Jirard's girlfriend(?) Amanda Flagg got her "big break" designing T-Shirts for The Yetee for GDQ.

Never knew Jake Kaufman held a Kickstarter. Though given he's in cahoots with a lot of the "LA-ers", it would only make sense he's done some grifting of his own. Limited Run and Wayforward are known to work a lot together (just recently, they released a previously unreleased Shantae GBA game) and Kaufman's been in-vogue in the VGM remix scene since the 2000s. Pretty crazy to see he too is one of them.

Shovel Knight's a great game, and Yacht Club at least have an eye for quality (which is saying something, given Wayforward was a shovelware factory once a upon a time), but dang it if they aren't guilty of some "LA Funk" of their own.

Mutahar talks about The Completionist and his charity scam on his podcast. No timestamp it starts at the beginning of the episode.

From the sound of things he's started to lean towards thinking Jirard is a scumbag. He calls out Projared and all the other gaming YouTubers who tried to sweep it all under the rug by saying that the allegations are just drama farming.

Mutahar stops short of making any claims about the money being gone. He repeatedly says that Jirard should just show the bank account and donate the money.

It's been so long since the charity fraud was exposed that the probability that Jirard didn't scam is miniscule.
