The American military should be held to the highest standards. Doing things like faking Medal of Honor events, dealing drugs, committing rapes, running away from combat, and writing books all day instead of doing their jobs should be beneath mentally competent and honest adults. They are allowing women into combat positions now. The first female Green Beret was at her home and took out a pistol and accidentally shot it through her window nearly hitting a neighbor because she was a retard who got a free pass into the Special Forces.

The Delta operators in Operation Gothic Serpent did not wear impact helmets as the movie showed them (in the movie, the costume department bought a bunch of skateboard helmets). They wore Bauer ice hockey helmets as a simple lightweight bump helmet. Bump and impact helmets, let alone a Bauer hockey helmet, won't do anything for shrapnel. The whole reason militaries started adopting steel and later kevlar helmets was to protect soldiers from shrapnel and low caliber rounds. Delta would only operate at night when the Somalians weren't ready and certainly couldn't use RPGs and mortars effectively where shrapnel would be an issue. The day time raid was part of the reason the Battle of Mogadishu went wrong because the US gave up the biggest advantage it had during the entire operation, which was operating at night using night vision.
