This has to be the most pathetic display of linguistic sparing I've ever seen. Forget high-school mean girl, this is grade school "I know you are, but what am I" levels of seethe.

Today I found out Nick is a non-practicing English major in addition to being a non-practicing lawyer.
If only some atalker child could get him to pretend to write a novel we'd finally see him complete his transition into a stunning and brave Fatrick of color.
I thought alchies hands shook when they were off the sauce, I think Rackets shakes from pure anxiety and rage instead.
The medical term for that is getting the cuck crackles.

The most substantive part of Patrick S. Rekieta's Twitter feed today was confirming that he was on Ritalin for his narcolepsy.

It's always good to document new information. But this doesn't move the yardsticks for me personally.

I'm not that familiar with the stepwise treatment of narcolepsy. But it would make sense that methylphenidate would be a treatment option given insomnia is a known side effect in children.

It would be more pertinent if Nick STILL had access to Ritalin.

Of note, the side effect profile of Ritalin vs Modafinil is less favorable in terms of potential for abuse, cardiac side effects, muscle tics, etc.

Nick is used to be far smarter than Ralph

Ftfy

As far as I know, while Rekieta has mentioned his prescription to Provigil/Modafinil, he has never mentioned that he took Ritalin for narcolepsy in the past, or if he did, it hasn't really made a mark in the thread. There is only one person mentioning it and they may have confused it with Provigil.

He might have done? He did specifically mention having been put on Adderall at one point, but said he had to quit taking it because it made him literally want to murder people.

Right here. It's a beautiful house on some great land (if kinda far away from things) and it's a real shame it's being trashed by a nigger-rich alcoholic and his pill-popping wife. Probably a good fixer-upper though.
Montagraph is going to love it when he gets it in the settlement.
Nick publicly went on to try to humiliate and embarrass someone he previously referred to as a friend. The narration or accuracy of his storytelling in this particular instance doesn't really matter. He was ill-intentioned in his telling of the story in order to cast Andrew in a shameful light. That was the noteworthy part.

I'd be curious to see a montage of all the times Nick divulged excessive information about one of his "friends" in an attempt to embarrass or ridicule them, and the subsequent fallout. Does anyone have a running list of people he has done this to after feeling slighted by them?
These people aren't friends. They're grifters. Andrew used Nick to help boost his channel. Once Rekieta stopped being useful to him, he stopped noseguarding and called him out. Doubt he cares much. He has his own grift with the Disney stuff.

What's odd is that with the Provigil Nick talked on at least one occasion that he didn't like taking it because he was afraid of liking it too much, suggestive of abuse, which doesn't really make sense for the drug he's talking about, but is an interesting comment in light of the fact that he's now saying he was initially prescribed Ritalin then moved to Provigil after (if I have the timeline right). Not sure if it means anything. Maybe he actually only changed because of side effects.

My biggest question is why does he care? Nothing will change if he admits being an alcoholic.
It was the same with "non-practicing lawyer".

Fun side note in relation to Nick's tweet, I have seen full blown alcoholics who have tremors and that "shaking hands" gets worse as time goes on, at least he isn't rolling cigarettes because watching someone who's having withdrawal from not drinking "that day" trying to just roll a smoke is pathetic and sad.

It's sad to see a once semi successful guy spiral into excuses, denial and lies. you're going to die from alcoholism nick I've seen it happen

Nick was warned to pull up but his rock bottom is going to be worse than Ethan Ralph's rock bottom, cheer up nick have a drink you've earned it.

I've been comparing and contrasting Ralph and Nick, and overall I'd have to say I'd bet money on Ralph sobering up faster than Nick, but were they both to get sober, Nick would have a better shot at a long term recovery. Nick is far smarter than Ralph, however with intelligence comes a greater capacity for self-manipulation, and a sort of inertia to thought processes. Nick would be harder to get to that first step, but were he to get some clean time, my bet would be on him overall.
At this point I unironically think Ralph would be a more successful actually practicing lawyer if he somehow managed to get a degree and license. Balldo is a mediocre byproduct of a coddled upbringing while the ragepig miraculously manages to cling onto existence longer than anyone could've possibly expected him to despite being purebred urban white trash with a family history of schizophrenia.

"If you stream for hours at a time, "you" comes through."
My dad, around the same age that Rekieta is now, would say things like this when midlife hit him hard. He was a brilliant engineer that raised us extremely well. After my parents divorced, he'd start mingling with trashy, mentally diseased women and developing a bad relationship with alcohol, resulting in multiple DWIs. Eventually his personality became much more disordered and volatile. It was obvious he was changing from the good, successful upper-middle-class dad he used to be into a mentally broken alcoholic. He'd always say things like, "I was always like this. I was just hiding it from you guys" which was clearly not the case.

This reminds me so much of my dad's midlife crisis, I'm starting to get the feeling this is just a continuation of Nick's crisis that started with dropping his brand new red Mustang into a ditch. This descent into madness really seemed to begin around that time.

Alcohol shakes vs DTs:

Morning shakes can result from various factors, including the following:

  • low blood sugar
  • prolonged caffeine intake
  • high blood pressure
  • alcohol consumption
  • dehydration
[...]

Alcohol Tremors vs. Delirium Tremens

Alcohol Tremors

Alcohol tremors, often known as the “morning shakes,” are a common physical response to excessive alcohol consumption or binge drinking. They result from the central nervous system’s adjustment to the absence of alcohol. (6)
  • Causes: These tremors occur when blood alcohol levels drop after drinking. The brain and body react to the absence of alcohol, leading to involuntary hand trembling.
  • Symptoms: Symptoms typically include mild to moderate hand tremors, increased heart rate, anxiety, and nervousness. These symptoms are generally short-lived and resolve as the body readjusts to sobriety. (2)

Delirium Tremens (DTs)

Delirium Tremens, often called DTs, is a severe and life-threatening condition that can occur during alcohol withdrawal. A sudden and severe disturbance in mental function characterizes it.

  • Causes: DTs are primarily caused by abrupt cessation of heavy alcohol use, especially in individuals with a long history of alcoholism. It is more common when alcohol withdrawal is not managed properly.
  • Symptoms: The symptoms of DTs are extreme and can include severe confusion, hallucinations, agitation, fever, seizures, and cardiovascular instability. Delirium Tremens is a medical emergency and requires immediate professional intervention. (1)

I'm a former alcoholic, I'd frankly be comfortable saying he's as down bad as I was, if not worse. This is what he chooses to show people, who can say what he's omitting.
We've seen some of what he's hiding a couple times but only because he was blacked out and alone with no one to tard wrangle him. The so drunk he's one eyeing it to keep the spins away in a hot tub stream comes to mind.
