Rolling Stone article on the situation. Sounds like they've dug up some other instances of Ben being a less than stellar human being.

Stupidly though, he has denied the main allegations in a statement to them which it seems like he has made while still in treatment.

That actually is pretty harsh. My only explanation would be Rebecca Trent was the owner of the club that a lot of UCB vs good comedians infighting happened during the 2012-2015 era, and she can now openly admit to hating the UCB types. Rebecca's hand was forced to chose UCB after the Legion of Skanks had Milo Y. on their show at the creek and despite that the UCB comedians basically still hated her and she probably still hates them for letting her NYC club die whereas despite the soft ban on LOS; the Legion of Skanks crowd that loves changing "white power" still gave her money and especially helped with fundraisers and still talked about their love for her during the Skankfest she still puts on every year and are also the reason she got the funding for a huge club in Texas.

There's a great Legion of Skanks episode from 2014 which is also right about when LPOTL probably abandoned recording at Creek where Luis J Gomez (who she does Skankfest with) got in a fight with Ben because Luis shot jizz all over the LPOTL merch when he was fucking a woman in the middle of the bar for everyone's amusement. Luis won, but overall between that and presumably Marcus abandoning his job at Creek around the same time Trent probably doesn't have a lot of nice things to say about LPOTL in general.

I will say i do remember her clearly liking him back in 2012. so we have a pretty good range of when he burned that bridge. And by all accounts it was probably during that 2012-2015 because even for the era Ben was really obnoxious about going after women and unlike Kurt Metzger he didn't fuck Rebecca Trent so it was probably not ok in her eyes.

edit:Unless Luis J Gomez and friends talk about this i doubt it has much water to it. Ben's earliest accusation is from a cunt named SARA BENINCASA who cheated on him and considers it abuse that he yelled at her for cheating on him. But overall he's fucked. While he might not like it Henry's best shot is to go the Jamie Kilstein route and apologize to his enemies and just do his best with his spin off podcasts. The way they fucked over Jamie Kilstein was almost exactly like this too, right down to the cheating whores of comedy and camshows attacking him. Also Trent is apparently A-OK with drunken public sex and desecration of other people's clothes at her bar. but being a bit too aggressive while white is a step too far. Having said that, the only good news for Ben is that this article came out now instead of two weeks ago.

We have to keep in mind that Rolling Stone has a terrible track record when it comes to them trying to destroy people’s lives via abuse allegations. Just ask the UVA kids. It all still kinda sounds like an alcoholic who got in nasty verbal fights with his girlfriends. The most recent one is a BPD prostitute so I don’t know how seriously we can take her.

But the whole “believe all women” mantra that’s fueling Ben’s liquidation from the podcast is fucking gay and retarded anyways. Maybe he wasn’t a great guy, but I’d hope I wouldn’t cast off entirely one of my closest friends for unproven gossip.

You could be right about the article not actually having much of substance in it, but the essence of it is poison for a business like theirs if they didn't take it 'seriously'.

At a personal level they might or might not cut ties but that's up to them. At a business level, when they've built their whole platform on believing victims etc and when Henry's wife has a 100% SJW-centric podcast on the same network, I don't think there was ever going to be any other outcome.

There's nothing perpetual victims love more (and let's be clear: the LPOTL fandom is filled to the brim with people obsessed with their own victim status) than to find someone to project their problems onto.

The thing that has me leaning in the direction of believing things in this case is that being overly enthusiastic virtue signalers. That said, I also heard the complaints from Taylor. He didn't beat her, he didn't rape her, he just intimidated her. Which, was probably traumatizing because not knowing anything about her, I have to assume that she's a bog-standard fan in that she's a perpetual victim and he's not the first to do that sort of thing to her, and it's entirely possible that someone else started yelling at her like that and did a whole lot worse.

That said, I have a strong distaste that no matter what kind of abuse was heaped upon her, she decided to make it public and get people to mob up on the guys. Again, I think they're a bunch of cringe lefties and probably are hiding a lot more shit, and it's fun to watch it all unravel for them. But lower on the stack of scum are people that who whip up a mob. I wouldn't be bothered to comment on shit like this if someone didn't bother to make it my business by airing it publicly.

There's this thing that I hate that women claim that they can't go to the police because the police wouldn't believe them and so they're justified in taking serious charges of assault to people who are not duly appointed arbiters of the law. Yes, punishment for the guys who do bad things, but there should also be punishment for inciting a mob, especially when, legally speaking, the the accused has no equivalent way of fighting the charges in the court of public opinion, especially if they did the right thing and bothered to talk to a lawyer.

You bet your sweet ass it is. There are 2 subreddits for these guys and every time there has been any development the comments are just hundreds and thousands of comments along the lines of:

"As someone who has been in a situation like this with having to buy out a partner of a business..."
"As someone who has supported someone who's been through something tangentially related to this..."


They all think they are uniquely qualified to pass judgement and that anyone gives a flying fuck about their 'trauma'. So, typical Reddit, but it paints a picture of the average fan.

I fail to see what more could be fairly done for her. They axed Kissel from the show entirely and replaced him. They called out the things he was accused of doing as wrong and denounced anyone from getting involved by harassing/attacking this chick. Ben has been in rehab or otherwise silent for a while now. They can’t control random people on the Internet to prevent them from doing things she doesn’t like, so what actually is she demanding?

And who is she threatening with her “celebrity attorney”? The podcast LLC? Under what cause of action would she be suing, it’s not like they’ve done anything to her. This chick is literally just crazy, trying to burn down a guy whose professional life has already been ruined and who’s not even publicly involved any longer by airing their weird piss play.
