I fail to see how this is a "win" for shartyfags. The developer made a shitload of money off of what was just a itch VN. Then sold it to a publisher (even more money), who will deal with the terminal retards that are after her. She keeps working on the story and art (the only reason people bought the game), while some monkey handles the programing. I would not be surprised if this was considered well before the dox dropped. That is not even going into the possible future opportunities the Dev can have with the publisher. All of this is a major step up from being a nobody making obscure itch VNs.

I don't know about any of that autistic bullshit but I saw that the creator drew a picture of the two characters saying cry about it in response to the shit they were getting about incest in the game. So it would seem like glossing over criticism because you don't particularly care had already been established by the creator themselves. How can someone be faulted for responding in kind? To be fair, if you look at how Jack Thomspon and Anita Sarquesian basically subverted the games industry into being a circlejerk of likeminded idiots, and how game companies will bend the knee to pander to a vocal minority of Twitter users for the glorious ESG points, that kind of response is actually refreshing to see. The backlash towards people mentioning that GTA and Saints Row doesn't have indoor areas anymore basically tells you everything about how soft the gaming community has gotten. Part of it is due to how the "modern audience" bullshit has been astroturfed by corporations that think it's easier to appeal to armchair activists than to release good games anymore.

We aren't talking about an Earl Dube or Ronnie Radke situation where they go nuclear at the slightest bit of criticism. That's different.
