A Comcast Employee Has Been Fucking with DSP's Internet for Months [November 28, 2023] - Oh it's true.. It's DAMN true!

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
what has me confused is he showed proof of websites like youtube and Paypal being blocked...so wouldn't that like...block the website?

that's not what phil claims is happening, phil claims his internet is being fucked with and turned on and off.

these two things don't add up to me, but I'm no expert.
http isn't being used, it would block nothing. Maybe if it were 10-15-20 years ago, you know, the last time Dave had knowledge of PCs and how they worked, it would block the website.

I've worked as a tech for a large ISP and have worked with Comcast reps/techs before, this entire story is pig shit. The tech that went out several weeks ago to reset the router probably showed Phil some "tips and tricks" and piggy probably got the big brained idea to spin up this story about those websites being blocked by an insider. Nice job blocking the http sites dumbass.
don't you need to have the customer on the other end for anything involving payments as well? isn't the payment info not actually accessible to reps? in my experience it's always obscured and i've never taken direct payment details

To DSP not being able to open Youtube means the internet has been turned off and the attacker clearly has persistent access (since the stream just died again) and could change things whenever he wanted to fuck with him.

Just a theory but leaving it as http is something I would do so blocking YT could be done instantly by just adding the 's'.

I lean toward believing this is a real attack.

He's saying the modem is being reset, he can watch the lights go off and back on. His "evidence" is blocked http websites, those 2 things aren't the same. Why would the internet come back on at all without his intervention if blocking youtube interrupts his streaming.

Lol.

it's certainly possible, but phil is a notorious liar, and if you didn't see, the big ultimate attack here ended up costing phil money.

that's what really set off my alarms, all of this culminated in phil lost money.
How is he dropping his stream right now mid-sentence if this is a con? I might believe this was a false-flag if DSP had any tech knowledge but I do not believe him capable of doing this stuff. I doubt he even knew how to open the router gui.

With persistent access an attacker can do all of those things trivially if they can stop laughing long enough.
