Or you could just use a cheese-o solution like PowerLine adapters. It's not like you really need Comcast-specific products other than maybe the modem unless you're somewhere that does require it. It's ridiculous renting a modem when it costs more than just buying one. Even if the one you get isn't compatible with your next ISP if you leave Comcast, you've almost certainly saved money by the time you have to get another.

Technically it is possible for Phil to get a dent to fake all this provided that the dent does all the work and Phail just enjoys all of the "rewards" of the work. He went to war with Burger King because his Chicken sandwich was too saucy. For like, a year? He still has the picture. Keemstar, PewDiePie, Mr. Beast have been getting da buisiness to this very day. But when a corporation, apparently, steals his money and throttles his Internet for "years" and gets exposed for doing so... we get one emergency video and a completely unrelated depression video, then he goes completely mum. To me it seems like he wanted people to not focus too hard on why he doesn't do anything and continues to use this ISP. Like we all saw the video. He said they stole money from him. He said he would "look into" different ISPs. And then.... nada.

The only other time he's moved like this (that is, lobbing a grenade and quietly walking away), is when he blamed Tevin for making Kat leave. Slowly that became "you guys" and "people in da chat".

Thing is… I don’t know what’s more funny.

That Phil is such a horrible person that random wagies risk their job just to fuck with him. Or that Phil has cried wolf so many times, that even when he has nothing to do with it, folks just assume it’s some DSP-spiracy, to squeeze more money out of the dents.

I would guess that IF Comcast approached DSP with some sort of settlement offer, one of the conditions would be DSP not talking about it.
Obviously, this isn't the only possibility; a cease-and-desist letter from Comcasts' lawyers alleging DSP is lying about the whole thing would have the same effect.
Or, you know, Phil realizes nobody's buying it and stops because he's being raked over the coals.

I seriously do think about what happened to this guy. Given he doesn't seem to have ever been "phonebooked" I guess we'll never know, if someone does know I would be interested to hear - especially if it has fucked up his employment prospects everywhere.

I'm also very curious if DSP was able to leverage this hack into a bunch of free shit from Comcast. He could've sued them and probably won but I'm guessing since he's so shortsighted he just took a few months of free service or maybe even just an apology and a refund of the unauthorized bank charges.
