What Video caused you to stop watching a Youtuber?

I watched one vid of SadBaseball (the one on Freddie Freeman) and realised he doesn't know what he's talking about.

I recall unsubbing to Foolish Baseball a few years ago, the young nerdy guy who made baseball content with vibrant pixel art sprites of the players.





I watched some content on his second channel (Foolish Bailey?) where he did livestreams in person and played sim games like OOTP.

This was back when Trevor Bauer, the LA Dodgers pitcher, first got suspended after some skank was denied a restraining order and claimed Bauer sodomized her and cracked her skull by punching her out during sex.

The Bailey guy just wouldn't shut up about what a scumbag Bauer was and how he should never play again.

Years have passed now. Bauer settled his civil suit against the skank a few months ago and won. He was able to release cellphone vids of the thot in his bed smiling the morning after the purported incident and texts from before they met of her conspiring with her friends to set him up, The local DA investigated but never laid any charges against Bauer..

MLB still upheld his suspension, even without charges. He lost about two years of salary and opportunity. When the suspension was lifted, the league colluded not to let him back in, Bauer had to play in Japan this last season.

Bauer could've been guilty, but was ultimately vindicated. I just hated how Foolish Baseball jumped on the bandwagon with the initial allegations just to make sure he was on the record condemning the bad man.

I'm sure it's been brought up but roosterteeth as a whole once Joel left. You can't fire caboose. I know I'm part of the problem but I still enjoy a few of the podcast. I work a job driving so podcast are how I binge stuff these days. But anything now just feels forced.

Not technically one video or a Yotuber I have dropped fully but I am growing a tiny bit lukewarm to Mr. Snowflake. Now I really like his videos. They are edited well and his narration is pretty nice to listen to.

The problem is that with his later, newer series he has stopped narrating them and now lets voice clips of the subject narrate their own stories by editing them into a "comprehensible" timeline.

If you're a big-brain lolcow analyst, you can make the argument that it's an artistic narrative device by having the subject say their piece, then juxtapose it against clips that show how far off reality they actually are. Like for example, Eugena Coony acts like everything is sunshine and rainbows in clips that show the realtime degeneration of her body.

I get there's an audience for that. But I don't like it. I feel like it's kinda cheap and lazy even if the videos have good editing. My other issue is that it kinda fucks the truth a lot and paints an askew picture. A lot of the subjects lie and a lot of nuance gets lost if we just have to take them at their word, regardless of the clips shown on screen.

By making a sob story of their videos (LifeByJen for example), it completely fails to paint a true picture of these people or the horrible shit they do to the people around them to instead make them out to be sad poor victims or something.

It also omits actual truths or a second opinion to shit that has already been debunked. And lastly, I don't want to sit through 45 minutes of Boogie rambling about his life while lying and manipulating or Jen whining about being fat, then making her late elderly disabled mother drag herself up the stairs to bring her pizza and get a poor nurse fired based on lies

It does not work for me.

And if this is going to be all his future content from now on, then I'm gonna unsub.

I will give him this. The one time where I think some clip shows could actually work in this new series he just revealed.

Which is about Amberlynn's exes. Fair enough, I guess. But I dunno, I also kinda feel like it's pretty obvious why these relationships fell apart. But I digress.

It's a guy in Russia who did Slav meme videos aimed at a western audience, mostly cringe but some of them were alright. Went full retard at the start of the conflict and put out a video about how much he hated Russia and Slava Ukulaili etc etc

I can't remember which video exactly because he ended up doing several of them, but the first video I watched where Life of Boris started bitching about his views falling off. When a creator starts down the path of entitled whining about their channel's viewing metrics, there's no turning back. It was made worse by his loyal viewers throwing hundreds of dollars at him in Super Thanks donations, and he never acknowledged or thanked them for it—he just continued making more woe-is-me videos.

I guess he realized his crying was only hurting his channel and made him realize he still had a lot left to lose, because he's since made one of those "I'm back!" videos, blaming all his prior behavior on mental health issues. Blah, blah, blah . . . he'll eventually fall back on his previous self-pitying behavior, because those types always do. He may already have for all I know, because—per the thread's topic—I've long since stopped watching him.

Its kinda sad that the first pusback from YT's schizo policies and him maybe not realizing his content and single "haha slav retard" gimmick wouldnt last long, i still somewhat enjoy his content but after a while i stopped giving a shit like alot of people did

I have no great love for Ro, like her fine and am still subbed to her despite her content having seriously dropped off in recent years but the whole thing made me realise how far his channel had fallen. He's defaulted on that illustrious tone of his that though not irritating in the moment did not push me to tab back into his content when I had moved on to other channels.

It's not what he said about the game but about someone who played it. Someone made a post, I believe, wishing for more interiora in VI by showing themselves shooting up a hospital in IV. GMan replyed saying that person should be on a watchlist and in another post said he doesn't shoot civilians in GTA games only cops.

I think the posts are in teh Civvie thread, since he deleted his post after everyone started dunking on him.
