He was based but he was also very much a war criminal. I have always admired his intellect and his political instincts were brilliant. He keep the world from incinerating itself in nuclear war, but it came at a price-millions of lives, and a not insignificant number by death squads. To say I'm conflicted is an understatement.

Today's neocons will regret not heeding his advice, and we will all suffer for it.
 
Kissinger was a good diplomat for his era, very often cold and calculating in his conduct though. He leaves behind a complicated legacy, by the end of his life he put himself in a position where all but a small group of people would miss him due to his general brutality, opposition against communism in some places, opening up American relations with China, negotiating the ceasefire in Vietnam and aligning with entities like the Bilderberg Group and World Economic Forum.

there's no such thing as a war criminal. there is no reason to be conflicted. he prevented the world from incinerating itself at the price of millions of lives. i dare anyone to do better.
