And Phil is definitely the type to manage finances by “feel” and basically spend till the bank says OVERDRAFT!

And then he’ll beg extra hard for a few days.

We’re already pretty close to the point where a 20$ an hour wage cuck JAWB* and streaming on the side would net him more than what he’s doing now, but Phil’s pride and laziness means that that’ll never happen.

Phil’s entire employment history is full of examples of getting fired or “telling the management to go fuck themselves” and quitting before getting fired.

His “hahnesty” and believing he’s the smartest guy in the room will always f him.

My favorite part of DSP Jahb history is probably when he failed some online qualication test at Best Buy, was told to retake it, but refused… Followed by management going out of their way to give him the boot, when he technically violated their policies by saving 1.90$ (or something like that) on two PlayStations he bought.

At least he still has Khat’s paycheck to rely on. Though it’ll do a number on his ego when she becomes the main breadwinner, Lolol!

I'll always find it funny how he claims that AVGN-style humor was popular so he tried to do it (even though he didn't want to be popular). I still think Dave is getting nothing or basically a pittance. I can't imagine Mama and Papa Burnell having too many qualms about getting a reverse mortgage and spending all the equity in their house before Dave can get his hooves on it.

Dave is too real to get a job and have someone tell him what to do. Even when he was at Machinima and "on top" he took his Machinima handlers giving him suggestions on how to improve or make more money as an insult. Today he'll just say the 'tractors will harass him at whatever job he gets, even if it's a call center job and there'd be no way to know what his job is unless he tells everyone.

Considering Dave has said on multiple occasions that his long term plan involves refinancing his house middle unit cahndo to get the equity out of it, presumably to pay off his back taxes and to just have a pile of money, I'm just gonna guess he's taking the Homer Simpson approach to retirement.

The thing about the ps2 discount is that the only way bestbuy could have found out he was abusing the discount. Was by him bragging about it. Bestbuy employs more than 100,000 workers in the US alone. Even if they were actively seeking out people who abuse the discount, it's truly a needle in a haystack sorta thing, and kinda hard to prove. A smart person when "caught" could just say something likw, yeah I bought one for me and my kid, spouse, brother, etc. Best buy could still be upset about this I guess, but it's alot less nefarious sounding than, I bought 2 or 3 ps2s at a discount so I could enter a fighting game tournament I could win money from.

I don't have time to look back at it my apologies but it wasnt like he bragged about it on YouTube or MySpace or some shit. This was a time before people could get you fired with a screenshot.

Truly seems like the only way anyone would have found out what he was doing was phil himself bousting about it to his coworkers. Both showing his superior scamming intelect, and his prowess as a gamer. It's a win win when your a pig. Win win win if you get to dunk on those nundiks at best buy for the rest of your life despite getting fired cause years later you are now a successful streamer with fat wife, triplex and his own personal Comcast concierge.
