But if I find out that a video that a youtuber tried to pass off as his "original content" is plagiarized, I'm unsubscribing. Cause why would I waste time on you retelling it to me, when I can just watch/read the source?

Except for drama channels, these guys get a pass, cause everything they produce is slop anyway. Hell, one could argue that they provide a valuable service by going through a lolcow's thread and digging out effortposts with information out of the sea of irrelevant shitposts.

Frankly, I think the idea the Somerton section was a 'cover' for the (far shorter and, clearly, less important to Harris) IH section is absurd. Missing the forest for the trees. There's plenty to go at Harris for, but you don't need to convince yourself of some nonsense narrative.

Weren't people saying the opposite? IE: The first half of the video was so it wouldn't seem like the whitoid breadtube darling wasn't exclusively using nearly 2 whole hours to pick on a smaller channel owned by a person of homo?

i might just be retarded but i fail to see the issue with IH and the cave video. he handled whatever issue there was behind the scenes. he changed whatever needed to be changed to make the copyright owner happy so why does it matter. was IH supposed to make a big apology video and beg for forgiveness and start crying or something? i just fail the see the issue here.

that aside my only other issue with the video was hbomb himself he just comes off like he is talking down to you the whole time. others have said it but sooner or later someone is going to make this style of video about him and i am curious how he will handle it.

Everyone trying to debate the ethics of plagiarism on YT seem to forget that almost every target (and yes that is what they are to dear old Harris here) is on the less guilty end of this spectrum and frankly don't do it that often, as he oh so conveniently ignores most of the other YT content creators who are far worse about plagiarism and do it constantly.

Then again, he might have to actually tackle people on "his side" if he were to actually go after the serial plagiarist heavy hitters. And god forbid good ol bredtuber boy here does that.

Is the "A measured response" thing normally part of his video titles or is that an example of MauLer continuing to live in his head rent free?

A number of things were changed from the original, including in the animation. The parts about Floyds early life and caving experience are shorter and more abridged, the hour by hour progression isn't nearly as prevalent as it was in the original and is mainly used to show the passage of time instead of as a section header, and I'm pretty sure the hallucination sequence itself was changed.
