Ooph. Whenever an organization or group has to put out material stating "we are not a cult" it's not a good sign.
Not a good sign for them, no. But I take it as an excellent sign. It means that enough detractors are now pointing out how cult-like the belief system behind Body Positivity/FatLib is, and proponents now feel they have to address it.
And while I know that most people these days are mentally slothful semi-retards, FatLib propagandists' having to explicitly say, "We are not a cult" might make some chubby chicks, whose brains are not yet completely clogged by grease and shitty ideology, stop and ask, "Wait—why would anybody think this is a cult?" and do a bit of googling.
ETA: Oh, and Corissa eating tamales with the husks on for years and years before finally learning that you weren't supposed to do that, isn't because she's white; it's because she's a pig-ignorant bitch.
I have never heard of
anybody doing this, whether they be white, black, brown, Asian—at most, I've seen first-gen immigrants admit to eating the husk on the first bite, which was when they figured out that
maybe they weren't there to be eaten.
This is a
you thing, Corissa, not a white people thing, and that you actually admitted this in public shows just how little you understand that, or how stupid it makes you look. It's also the dumbest fucking thing I've heard all day, despite following Chantal, and since she currently thinks a fasting BG of 208 and joining an MLM scheme are both good things, that should tell you how fucking dumb this is. God damn.
