This was another algorithm bid that went out of style. It was absically YT (A) reacts to YT (B). Still exists today, but politics is fucked so it's not as simple as it used to be.
Funny thing about all this is hardly anyone will remember the drama and all they walk away with is the feeling that Dark Souls 2 just wasn't a good game. Why? Who knows?!

People keep saying IH tried to "hide it" and then "get away with it". What is this actually based on? Putting aside how he isn't some all-knowing god that can recall the entire Internet at a moment's notice, and that's even assuming the original work was famous enough for him to be aware of in the first place, he's open about the fact these videos are a team effort.

I liked his Tommy Tallarico video, it made me laugh. It's the only thing I have ever seen from him though because a lot of his videos have titles that make me think I might not actually want to watch them. So I plan on leaving the rest of his stuff alone and just keeping that Roblox OOF video as a neat little memory untainted by how big of a faggot this guy likely is the more you get to know about him (they always are these days) I mean I could be wrong...but he is british, so...you know.

I did skip to the Cinemassacre part--I've long thought James Rolfe was a hack who knew little of what he talked about, and in the grand scheme of things him selling out was inevitable.
However, I can't imagine being so much of a cuck that he lied about "just like the old days" and then reading a (stolen) script that he had zero creative control over.
The only reprieve I can give him is Harris clearly has an axe to grind with IH and others, but I didn't realize James was so pathetic.

I tried watching it as I figured Internet Historian would be fun, but gave up at the Quintin Reviews level of shoehorned "Republicans are the bad guys and kill babies" segment.
I also don't think it's plagiarism to use sources like Wikipedia and the like in parts of your video. You should probably credit them, but sources made specifically to be referenced shouldn't be considered plagiarism when being used as part of larger works.

You only need to expose him for being rich. I think with this video he will hit the 100k usd goal (30k-35k paypigs, 2 USD minimum pledge) and he keeps his patreon income private which is something rich people do to ensure poor people don't question them according to Lenin. He will be right behind chapo and contra as the richest breadtuber of all time and probably among the top richest youtubers as well. Despite that fact he doesn't pay charities like other breadtubers, always fundraises, he rarely does anything with his own funds and I'm sure he squanders it away.

Breadtubers are scalp collectors, and James Somerton was enough of a fuck up that turning on him is an easy way to increase your video credibility without actually having to take a risk in having your audience turn on you.
He tries the same trick in his Dark Souls 2 response video (to much less success) when he's actually using the video as an excuse to scalp collect on MatthewMetosis popular video calling the game shit. Its the usual Hbomberguy playbook so i'm not going to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Plagiarism is not really a legal argument but more a moral argument that "academic" types like to use as an opening a struggle session. Ideas are hard to protect in US law and mere ideas on paper can be strikingly different in practice. Can it be considered stealing, yes but it is nuanced (a typical cop out, I know).
