I don't know how it works in Canada-land, but in the states, weight loss surgery has at LEAST a 6-12 month wait time. Those months include a pulminologist (asthma/COPD test), endocrinologist (thyroid), cardiologist (stress test/heart monitor), gastroenterologist (endoscopy/colonscopy), primary care (overall health), and psychiatrist (psychological testing). She would have to pass ALL tests in order to be considered for surgery, and even then, she'd need to lose at least 30-50 lbs to show the bariatric doctor she's serious about the surgery.
I don't see her passing 80% of the tests she needs to get the approval of the surgeon. She has asthma, the 'beetus, blood clots, high blood pressure, depression and possible hypothyroidism, amongst other things.
I think this is the excuse she's using to stay in Canada. She doesn't like that the suicide bomber autist restricts her food intake and keeps her lock and key in the luxury beach fart box. She wants the freedom to drive around (Montreal) and get food and back into the good graces of Crackula so she can outhouse beeze once again. She knows full well she won't get weight loss surgery.

Its been slow, so lets really dive into this crack care team of Foodie's Doctor visit followup.
Lets set the scene. They are taking her blood pressure. She's sitting in the CHAIR and not on the exam table. Odd. Also there is a MAN touching her wearing Jeans. This seems like someone who wasnt ready to touch patients today. Maybe the Nurse/Phsyicians aid was like "Yo come check this BP I dont know how". Was he on call? This is a private doctors wouldnt they want to look the part?
Anyway. Sure. 120/82. My bicycle tires have more reliable pressures. Lets get in here cus I sperged about taking her blood pressure before.
In this portion of the scene you can hear the hiss of the blood pressure cuff. This indicates its at the END of reading. If you dont know about taking blood pressure you crank it all the way up until you hear the blood flow stop through the artery, then you slowly release the pressure until you hear it. Thats the top and bottom number
Get ALL the way in there.. Here you see the doctor/tech's left hand holding the ball/valve slowly releasing pressure, then you see Chantals meaty fist, and this hand on hers. Look how close to the table the hand and hers are..
Heres his hand coming off of Foodie. This is telling me they cant take her reading on her bicep, but are taking a reading on her forearm. They cant put a blood pressure cuff around her arm as its too big.
It is a semi-standard practice that can be done when you cant take an upper arm reading. But she is going to a follow-up. She claimed they used a "big cuff" for her previous readings but now they dont have one big enough at her follow-up? this should be the specialist, someone dealing with endocrinological issues like thyroid and diabetes. They should have the equipment for the obese. Forearm readings are reliable, and within a diagnostic level of accuracy if done correctly. (they actually read a smidge high in my experience). What I cant tell is if they had a correct sized one for her forarm, or did they have to use the regular one? Just interesting. Kuwait is one of the most obese countries in the world! Fat is too fat to fit in a BP cuff. I dont think thats a reliable scale for bariatrics either.

Depending on brand but the standard sizes are:
Adult= 27-34cm arm circumference
Adult Large=35-44cm circumference
Adult Thigh=45-52cm circumference (this is probably the BIG one they used the first time that she claimed)
Also these cuffs get wider as they do longer because they are supposed to go on physically bigger bodies. not justfat. Chantal has tiny short arms so theres no way the Adult Thigh cuff fits her properly.
Arnold Schwarzenegger at his peak flexed was purported to be about 50cm circumference.

While going back to Canada is the only choice she has, really, for any sort of continuous healthcare, I also think this is a reaction to all the new restrictions. I don't think her brain is processing all the changes very well and she's getting the classic panicky fight/flight/freeze reaction which, for Chantal always comes out as flee.
The medications and weigh-ins and struggle meals will all necessarily exist in Canada if she actually intends to make an attempt health, but her lizard brain doesn't really process that. She's scared, so she want to run away. It's how she wound up in Kuwait in the first place.
Plus a trip back to Canada gives her something to focus on that isn't her syrup blood. And, yanno, I'm sure she'll need to eat all her favorite Kuwaiti foods before she leaves, to say goodbye guoise, and then all her favorite foods in Canada to celebrate being back home. Those foods don't count obviously so she can focus on that to get her through.

Just speculating on where Cutie will plop herself if/when she lands in Canuckistan and here are a few options. Stay with Smee? I don't think her stepdad or Buster would put up with that for very long. Her sister? 
Peetz? I doubt he'd even be able to rent a place since the rumor is he got a megabill from the Luxury Villa and his credit is trashed so who would rent to him now? Her funcle? This could be an option temporarily if he still goes to Florida for the winter. Plus, he has that basement apartment thing she stayed in after her fake cocaine addiction/attention-hog hospital visit. Auntie Rasta? Probably the most logical option and what a clusterfuck that would be, lol.
