I just wanted Vice City feel again, not a current year Florida simulator *sigh*
You cannot have Vice City without 80s culture. They are synonymous with one another. It's like having Red Dead not in the Wild West. It's possible, but it wouldn't feel the same.

Experiences like that are few and far in between. Enjoy them while you can.

Lotta black people in Vice City lmao
Well in the classic series where you murder whores... Now you get to shoot niggers twerking ass bare on cars in middle of the day.

This game might be most based ever.

*But yes fucking stupid to call it Vice City with 2020's African American "culture".'

I thought rdr2 was a great single player experience even tho the gameplay could be way to slow, I'll wait till reviews and gameplay to reserve judgement. I didn't even think gta 5 was that great but the leaks for gta 6 showed some decent robbing mechanics.
I guess, but I don't get why they are even revisiting Vice City. The whole point of Vice City was to parody Miami Vice, not modern day Florida. At least with RDR2, the setting is always going to be in the Wild West and they did the whole "the Wild West is being tamed" thing well. I don't really get the catch of this game. It's just GTA 5 but in Vice City. They could have set this game somewhere interesting like in Tokyo with the Yakuza or London with soccer hooligans. Give the series a new take on the whole criminal underworld/gangster theme.

its been so long since i played 4 and 5 and yet, i feel no desire to replay them at the moment. im not feeling hype about this one either. its just gonna be a game about a bossy bitch and her cuck boyfriend going on heists and shit. i bet most of the focus will go on the online mode were all the Zoomies and Alphas will shit up.

what worries me the most is how far the gonna censor the game with the amount of gore and chaos you can do. brings me back to the picture of Gmanlives having a freak out about a guy going postal and killing unarmed civilian's in GTA 4. then there is the humor of the game. Rockstar has always had edgy humor pocking fun at all sides in the political spectrum but with how things have gone since 2016 and alot of Rockstar's hires being women and diversity hires, im not having high hopes of it being too edgy with its humor and more trying to lecture me about the struggles of being a Black Latin X girl boss.

Someone mentioned it earlier, but I would have been interested in seeing what they did with a modern setting in chicago. They could let the player go HAM on niggers left and right and still play it off as a critique of the real, actual violence in the city. chicago is right on the lake and theres a big river that goes through it with bridges that raise (gta 3!) so that could have been fun. They could even have some annoyingly difficult and unfun missions where the entire screen is covered in snow or something. I love vice city but it seems like a bit of a retread. And I thought they didnt really make the most of the topographical diversity of the california games, so why not just move it to a big midwestern city? In my perfect "windy city" game the main character would be recruited by a faggot black guy actor to pull off a fake hate crime and thenan obvious parody of that little disgusting dyke mayor they have would hire him to do some dirty work to fix the election. SJW GTA couldve worked there. SHIIIIT

Every GTA is rooted in its time, this game will be based on zoomer cringe and idiocy so it will be absolute shit. Should have set it in the 70s instead, at least you have something to work with there, but I guess you cant trust zoomies to get it if it doesnt involve twerking niggers, tiktok and most likely internet memes that will be outdated by the time the game comes out.
The shills itt dont get GTA and are just shilling to be contrarian.

This is completely ignoring the "culture war" thing you said you hate, which is retarded considering that is exactly Rockstar is doing. People like you who give zero fucks and let them do whatever while throwing money at them is exactly how the industry has become so bad in the first place.
What is wrong with having reservations for a product on its own terms based on what is presented to you? We're talking about a TRAILER for an upcoming, anticipated game. I even said my first impressions of the trailer were underwhelming because of the art direction.

It's possible to judge it on the good and bad without blindly going into one direction.

Truly GTA III was the last good GTA game
I'm willing to unironically agree with this.

I don't get the point of this. This shit isn't even coming out for another two years, and the internet has an attention span of a week at most. What does releasing this trailer accomplish?
Ensuring they kill all hype and press for Max Payne, again, again. (:_(
They did this with Max Payne 2, they did it again with Max Payne 3. They're doing it again with the Max Payne remakes. With the exception of the 1st title, every MP game has been inserted before an awaited GTA launch and suffered for it. Interest in MP2 was destroyed by anticipation for GTA:SA, and MP3 despite it's marketing and promotion was showered in "Where's GTA V?" "No one wants this, where's GTA V, R*?" comments on YouTube and social media by teenagers everywhere, to the point some grew to resent MP3 as if it's release delayed or affected GTA V somehow even though R* Vancouver was not developing GTA V (not until the PC port anyways).
Now the remakes will be doomed to the same fate. Any media R* posts will be flooded with "We want GTA VI!!" posts and demands R* forget about everything and focus on GTA (even if R* isn't even working on it; they're the publishers so to normies that's no different from being a developer.)

On the plus side, I'll be able to get the remakes for dead cheap. I got the PS3 version for $15 dollars after a month and the PC version for $5 on Steam.

My generation of GTA player is truly dead. I guess I should just be grateful they threw in a Cheetah Classic while I still played.
None of my friends understood why I was happy to see the Manchez return in Online. They had never heard of it.

we dont even know the story if it's woke shit, I"ll be right there saying cringe but this is just a teaser. And gta is known for satirizing american culture. edit I know you didn' mention woke this was me just generally responding to criticisim, who the fuck knows if its good or not it's two years away.

Remedy is making the remakes for Max Payne 1+2. On that note, would they connect those remakes with their Control universe? There may be an intersect between Remedy fans and R* fans. Time will tell.

I already acknowledged that:

They won't care. MP3 was being developed by R* Vancouver while V was developed by R* North; you think normies knew or cared?

I enjoy the gameplay loop that the GTA genre brings to the table. You have the freedom to explore expertly crafted worlds in a sandbox environment. Walk, drive, fly, swim within the sandbox to cause mayhem, do side activities, or even just chill and observe your surroundings while the world around you goes about its business.
This is hardly unique to GTA anymore, hell even GTA4 when it come out wasn't unique in that regard. But what made it stand out so much was all the small little details added that went far beyond any game at the time. Websites, TV shows/commercials, "hidden" interiors, AI behavior, and so much more stood out fand STILL does to this day. This video by Crowbat really highlights the difference, but since you seemed to have been lurking this thread you may have already seen it.
I tried giving GTA5 a chance but didn't last more than 3 hours. The world, the missions, the characters, nothing stood out to me as interesting. Hell, out of all the characters Franklin was the most interesting, but even he was boring and seemed to just be CJ lite (who was a much better character btw). Hell I am still mad that the "LMAO SO CRAZY" character killed off a really good one from GTA4 for the dumbest reason.
From what I saw of this thread, almost nobody was talking about the potential monetization. The thread was flooded with repeat comments about the heavy concentration of Black people in a trailer for a game that hasn't even come out yet. That sort of discussion gets old, especially when talking about entertainment.
If anything there should of been more hispanic folks, but you can't deny there was an over abundance of nogs. Not saying there isn't any in Miami, but still it seemed excessive. It will die down eventually.
And FYI, I mainly buy my games on sale. Not that it's anything to boast about.
I strongly encourage you to pirate more. Especially from Rockstar and pretty much ALL triple A game developers.

Imagine if a GTA game came out right as Rockstar started saying "You know what? Those ass-blasted parents have a point, we should strive to make a more child-inclusive main-series entry" And it started removing the naughty words, and strip clubs and guns from previous entries then began featuring gen Alpha dogshit like Skibidi toilet unironically?
Everyone and their mom knows what's about to happen. Its only destroyed franchise #97382 Somehow you don't see the writing on the wall.
What the fuck are you talking about, schizo?

The trailer had little dialogue, so we didn't get to hear anyone say the word "fuck".

Strip clubs were featured within the first 30 seconds of the trailer, you're literally imagining things. What part of this says that Rockstar is removing ANY edge?

You saw a 3 second clip of a beach with black people and that flipped some switch in your brain to start screaming "woke" despite the footage saying the otherwise.
There is a reason the trailer predominately features so many overweight and/or brown people. It's the same reason the last of Us 2's first trailer in 2017 was about Jewess lesbian kissess. In a word, it's not the existence of black people, it's the upfront worship of black culture. No, it's not going to be some 5D chess satire.
God forbid you ever try and play GTA San Andreas. Good thing you were born after 2005, otherwise seeing the trailer for it would've made your head spin.

on the one hand I absolutely understand the general attitude of nigger fatigue, and the knee-jerk reaction to seeing yet another mainstream franchise open their marketing pitch with wall-to-wall niggers, not just conventional black people, but niggers in the Chris Rock sense, like celebrating that degenerate culture is not just worthwhile but commendable. so understand that I mean it with love when I say that, on the other hand, some of you fucking spergs need to take a step back and breathe, lol. a lot of posters here really put some serious effort into immersing themselves completely in shrieking politispergery and never coming up for air. that shit is seriously bad for you, dude. I know some of you are going to say "b-but it's Current Year's fault for always shoving niggers in my face!!!" come the fuck on, man. the guy literally named @RACISM, the britbong who obviously came here specifically to enjoy the freedom to say nigger at will, doesn't sperg about niggers half as much as some of you do. please, for the sake of your mental health and the sanity of everyone who cares about you, stop thinking about niggers for a second and go hug your mom or something.

Seems to me GTA series went from acidic angry satire of our world to the "fun adventure". GTA VI looks like a generic crime story they will pump into your brain via VR sets in dystopia, 1$ for a dozen.
It is sad to see, but entropy is inevitable I guess.
Also I don't want to play as a woman.
I'm pretty sure you play as the white dude and the woman, and do you avoid all games where you play as a woman?

Can't deny it's visually amazing, but I think there is a solidly possible percentage chance that this game is gonna suck. Definitely not gonna be a day one purchase like so many other R* games have been.

Gonna wait at least several weeks if I buy it and only after seeing some video and getting the non propped up general consensus.

Didn't jump on Starfield and I don't regret it one bit. Don't think I'll ever play/put time into that game, and I was hyped AF when it was first announced. Everything I've heard and seen seems like a waste of my time now that it's actually out.

I don't think I'm going to buy any game day one or get excited for any of them pre release anymore. I even waited weeks for Elden Ring until I'd seen and heard enough to convince me it was worth buying, and I don't regret that at all, even though it's one of my favorite games of all time.

If a game is really good, I'll hear about it, and then see ample available video demonstrating evidence that indicates i will probably enjoy playing it.

I hope it's good but I have doubts.

This is the last I will think about GTA 6 until after it's released and I've seen people (not games journos) discussing it online and posting clips of the new game.
Calm down kids!

Even if the game sucks and is full of preachy “save nuggets and trannies” bullshit, there’ll always be GTA 6 Online, where you will be free to dick around however you want.
