What shithole were you living in when you were in Australia? You'd be lucky to get a granny flat in the outer suburbs for that in most Australian cities.

Even if you're sharing, unless you go rural you're only going to get decent places for $400 per week in outer suburbs or places like the Gold Coast which have lost their allure and become havens for poor people escaping urban rents.
