Israel are starting to flood the tunnels with water.
Israel has readied plans to flood Hamas’s system of tunnels under the Gaza Strip with water pumped from the Mediterranean Sea, the Wall Street Journal reports.

Citing US officials, the report says the Israel Defense Forces last month set up five large water pumps near the al-Shati refugee camp in Gaza City, which are capable of flooding the subterranean network within weeks by pumping thousands of cubic meters of water per hour into the tunnels.

The officials say Israel alerted the US about the plan last month, but has not yet decided on whether to implement it.


According to the report, opinions in Biden administration were mixed, with some officials expressing concern about the Israeli plan while others say they back Israel’s efforts to destroy the tunnels and say there isn’t necessarily any American opposition.

Erdogan said Israel had become "the West's spoiled child", and blamed Western support for Israel for the situation in the region.

Asked about reports that Israeli officials want to hunt down Hamas members in other countries, Erdogan said carrying out such a operation in Turkey would have "very serious" consequences.

"In the event they carry out such a mistake, they should know that they will pay the price for this very, very heavily," he said.

Erdogan said Turkey and Qatar wanted to rebuild Gaza and that Turkey was ready to act as a guarantor or host a peace conference.

Minimum of 2 years military service is compulsory for all jewish men & women. Everyone over 18 is required to serve, it’s practically a rite of passage. They even conscript literal retards. So...better rape errbody.

Now that the tunnels are being flooded, Hamas will probably decide it's the perfect time for women and children to hide there because there's "nowhere to evacuate to." For the rest of the conflict, able-bodied men have hidden underground while leaving their women and children to take the brunt of aerial strikes, but now they'll happily reverse course.

At what point does someone go and assassinate the Hamas leaders in Qatar? The IDF isn't squeamish about that kind of thing, and once the fight is lost and the tunnels are filled, it seems like it'd be a fitting end.

And they are still launching rockets, you can get the app and get the warnings. When they start surrendering and hoisting white flags and not shooting, Israel will not shoot back.

It was a bit risky of Bibi, though, to call it a war. If it's a war, then they are soldiers, and if they didn't commit war crimes, they are to be treated as POWs and you can't impose sentences on soldiers who were shooting at your soldiers during a war. But they all committed war crimes anyway in this case.

Somebody before was talking about the criteria for being a Jew. The "one grandparent" is Israeli, not halachic (Jewish law). The halachic one is "born of a Jewish mother".

Also there is no way to "un-Jew" oneself. There is no form, declaration or anything. The only exception is the so-called "ger katan", which is a child that is converted to Judaism by the father (the child's will is replaced by that of the father). When he is 13, bar mitzvah, he has to confirm that he wants to stay a Jew and can say "no" and will not be a Jew.

This is totally random, but I was thinking about the role Gazan women play in Hamas militias (basically just Pallywood actresses and cannon fodder) and ended up reading about the intifadas and the brave female suicide bombers who paved the way for the women's right to self-detonation back in the early 2000s. For all those wondering, women are not allowed to be Hamas militants. However, they are more than welcome to explode themselves if they so desire. I came across this very beautiful and inspirational quote from an Egyptian newspaper reporting on Wafa Idris's suicide bombing in Jerusalem in 2002. In light of the current conflict, I thought I might share it so that everyone here can also appreciate true heroism and the brave women of Palestine:

"It is a woman who teaches you today a lesson in heroism, who teaches you the meaning of jihad, and the way to die a martyr's death ... It is a woman who has shocked the enemy with her thin, meager and weak body. It is a woman who blew herself up, and with her exploded all the myths about woman's weakness, submissiveness, and enslavement."

I really hope they don't kill Mr. FAFO. He is one of the few sources of comedic relief that has come out of this war. They should kill the death toll counter guy instead, or at least destroy the dart board he uses to choose a random number every time there's an air strike.
