BreadTube - The Unofficial ContraPoints Dickriders Club and the culture / drama surrounding the community.

Innuendo Studios is back with another completely disingenuous bullshit video in his Alt-Right Playbook series called 'Didoing', but I just want to focus on what his central conceit seems to be, which is: if I'm not allowed to act like a completely intolerable and obnoxious fucking faggot at all times in every single circumstance, you are forcing me to suffer under The Tolerable Level of Permanent Unhappiness.

Or, to put it another way: stop oppressing me by having boundaries.

Fuck off, mate. There are certain things that are acceptable and reasonable in society and there are certain things that aren't. If I'm not allowed to sing "Fuck You, Mister Nigger" in the middle of the reggae festival, I'm not being made to suffer. Don't be so fucking histrionic.

Drag queens are not appropriate entertainment for young children, don't flaunt your disgusting perversions in public and trannies, stay the fuck out of women's restrooms. This shit isn't hard.

Sorry for the low-quality doublepost, but can someone explain what the deal with James Somerton is? It's clearly a coordinated cancellation campaign since (at least) three major Breadtubers (ToddintheShadows, HBomberGuy, and Jessie Gender) released separate videos attacking him within a day or two of each other for different things.

I can't stand any of these fuckheads, and I've never heard of James Somerton before this. Can someone explain any of this?

Found a BreadTuber defending people who self-diagnose with autism. Now, I can understand the points he makes about why someone would perhaps want to identify with having autism without having been formally diagnosed, and I also understand why someone in that position might not want to seek a formal diagnosis, especially if they're an adult and at the stage in life where it would likely hinder them more than it would help. Okay, fair enough.

The galling part of this video for me is how a large part of his argument is based around the idea that the academic and medical institutions that defined concepts like autism to begin with are suspect because 'they are rooted in colonial violence' and that placing too much authority in them discounts other cultures and their 'indigenous ways of knowing'.

Of course, he's only making this argument because it happens to be useful in this instance. If he were instead talking about something else (for example, providing "gender-affirming care" to children, or the importance of COVID lockdown measures) then suddenly look, here's a study that says at least some of the participants don't kill themselves so it's clearly a good thing, and The Science™ is the ultimate authority that we must all trust or we're science deniers and basically no better than Flat Earthers. BreadTubers (and progressives in general) take an incredibly mercenary approach to science, where its usefulness and validity can change so readily on a whim depending on whether it's saying what they want it to.

Yeah, this is the guy I've mentioned in a comment way back, just couldn't be assed to look him up again.

Phenomena of "Internet induced autism" has been well known for a while, but the reason it's not a medical condition is simply because it's a lack of social skills. ASD has a set of pretty narrow and specific requirements (it has easily noticeable changes in the brain structure too if one were to take a scan) aside of simple social problems and it is, in the end of the day, a learning disability, meaning that autistic people will never be able to fully adapt and operate in the society.

And that's the frustrating part, it feels like he's pulling the "Oppressed Gamer" card unironically, gets into a tirade about how he needs special accommodation yet doesn't specify what exactly. Fact is, for one reason or another he just wants to be seen as autistic.

The thing I think is really interesting about the whole James Somerton thing, which HBomberguy touched on in his video, but for some reason, nobody else seems willing to talk about, is that amongst the whole drama regarding James Somerton plagiarising his content, it was revealed that about the only thing that was his original work was this nasty streak of hatred towards women.

In fact, the only time I see them bring his misogyny up is as a compounding factor to his plagiarism, a second charge they can lay against him now he's been exposed. An 'as if that wasn't bad enough...'

But this man was still considered a darling of LGBT+ YouTube and a really important voice in their movement. Indeed, until HBomberguy came out and showed them all the extent of his plagiarism, these people were all nodding along with his takes quite happily, presumably including all the misogyny. But the misogyny was always there. 🤔

That entire video could've been just about James and it would've been perfectly serviceable without pissing me off with stupid Nazi accusations. That part of the video was shockingly more tolerable than the rest.

Not that it matters, Hbomberguy basically said he's done with net drama, so we'll see how long that lasts.

He will make another video about this in two weeks and it will start with a deep, performative sigh followed by him saying something along the lines of: "I really didn't want to make this video, but- " and then the video lasts for like two hours.

I am calling it.

From the little I know, it was an open secret among Breadtube HBomb was gonna go after him. That got other people interested and looking into him, HBomb's video got delayed something stupid like six months and they all agreed to just drop them together.

because 'they are rooted in colonial violence'
So its colonialism the new white supremacy? I see they are using that one way less these days, probably because calling even black people who wouldn't kiss the ring 'white supremacists' destroyed any meaning the term had, if it ever had any to begin with...

Or maybe its like that /pol/ post saying that as the economic and military situation goes to shit the guys up top are going to put a lid on the anti-whiteness because they need whites to go back to work, pay taxes and sign up to die in some hellhole in the name of greatest ally and lockmart.

Not mercenary, opportunistic, they pick and choose what its convenient not unlike a fundie picking the parts of his religion that suit them at the moment and ignoring the parts that don't.

I think you're onto something there, "white supremacy" seems to be much less a part of their rhetoric than it was a couple of years ago. I think it's because they overdid it when (I think it was) The Smithsonian published a guide to "traits of white supremacy" which included things like... valuing hard work, individualism, and close-knit nuclear families.

The accusations of Genocide are just so bizarre. Even if we accept Gazans as some sort of unique racial group (and not one city of Arabs representing half a percent of their population), only about half a percent of Gazans have been killed.
Which is completely irrelevant? If I plan to kill all of Japan and only end up killing three people it doesn't mean I didn't want to genocide the Japanese. You're telling me Israel doesn't want to wipe ALL of them out when they've been handing guns to random citizens and letting them slaughter and rob random villagers for decades? That shuttling people into specific areas, and then bombing those specific areas, isn't intentional? That killing women and children at more than a 6:1 ratio, when the population isn't skewed that way, and when that group is the first group to evacuate and they were given evacuation orders, and all the combatants are men.....that's not intentional? Even though that's literally never happened ever before? Blowing up empty buildings after taking pictures with your flags (or mocking dead children in the rubble of schools) doesn't imply anything? That they don't actually want to kill all arabs (and non-jews in general) but can't solely because they're limited? Ok bud
