Josh has previously expressed admiration for the Borzoi so a Greyhound or other sighthound makes perfect sense. My original recommendation was the Silken Windhound. As an alternative I also recommended the Pudelpointer thinking Josh might appreciate the versatility of the breed as well as their ability to alert by pointing rather than barking.

usually the most intelligent dogs were also bred for extremely high energy so they would actually sprint around all day working. obviously no dog is smart enough to know how to release pent up energy without being “destructive” when theyre trapped in an apartment.

highly trained herding dogs are absolutely incredible to watch. i went to a herding competition once and was blown away.

I just don't see the horror in surrogacy and I think the discussion around it is straight-up retarded. If some woman is willing to carry the baby to term, I don't see why anyone would have an issue with it. It's not particularly dangerous and if you want to go down the exploitation line, there are plenty of jobs in America that pay much less and have a significantly higher risk of mortality or injury — aka law enforcement, security, or construction.

This retarded rhetoric about IVF being some abomination in the face of god is beyond fucking stupid. All it is is putting a sperm in an egg and putting in a bitch. This isn't some fucking Chinese dark arts eugenics where DNA is being edited to make super babies. As well as that modern medicine is literally almost entirely built on doing shit that flies in the face of nature.

If you don't want gays raising babies that's fine to take that opinion, but don't make up bullshit rhetoric to justify it.

Edit: being gay isn't natural and no matter what the propaganda says you're not born that way. They know this, we know this. If they want to be open hedonists and be gay as fuck then they can deal with the consequences. i.e. not having a family. Sucks to suck degenerate.

If you want to say it's a mental illness — aka a deviation from the baseline standard of human behavior — that's a reasonable line of argument, but saying it isn't natural is just braindead.

i agree. being mad about ivf doesnt make sense. fags paying for surrogacy is the same as fags adopting, evil, but that doesnt mean surrogacy and adoption are evil in and of themselves.

Not really too familiar with Pudelpointers or Silken Windhounds but a Borzoi wouldn't be a bad pick either. They shed more and need more attention paid to grooming, but they're also more suited to the colder climes than regular greyhounds. The ones I've met have had a similarly awesome temperament to greyhounds, and they're also just beautiful dogs.

I think the price and availability are a big plus for greyhounds, rehoming an existing dog for next to nothing compared to having to purchase a dog that someone has bred for profit is a massive plus, even if you're not doing it just because you want to do a good thing or whatever.

That all being said, I have no idea about the availability of greyhounds where Josh lives, it might actually be easier for him to get a Borzoi in Serbia or wherever he is now.

I used to have this sentiment. But then I saw the Shane Dawson do IVF and it changed me. Something about them picking and choose embryos was dystopian.
The gays only have children because its the next step after marriage, in my eyes. I don't see what else a gay man would gain from witnessing the 9 month process of pregnancy and then caring for a newborn. If you want to be a father, adopt some kid.
I was sympathetic to women who can't carry to term but that sorta changed, too. I thought if they have enough money to rent a womb and afford IVF, they can probably adopt, right? Oh right, you get a random kid who isn't your flesh and blood and a newborn. So, surrogacy is rich people jumping through rings to get their happy fantasy life changing moment? I don't understand if the women value family so much why not just adopt some poor crack baby and Blindside the 51 out of them.
Same for the gay men except I feel as if its more about the hubris of creating your own being than anything with them, because gay men gonna be gay men. (I don't want to think about adopted children being molested but yeah acknowledged.)
Idk, all in all with 7 million people on the planet, seems selfish too create new ones when so many people are in foster care.

Watching MATI just wanted to recommend Chihuahuas. Size of a cat with the personality of a dog and a 15-20 year lifespan. Great for alerting you to intruders with zero chance of it mauling children. I wasn’t a fan until I actually had one and can’t recommend them enough. Also they are one of the oldest dog breeds on Earth, being direct descendants of the Techichi.

this is what i disagree with. i think its perfectly natural to want your own flesh and blood over someone elses. if you want to adopt thats ok but saying its selfish to want your child to be related to you is ridiculous.

i think a husband and wife choosing surrogacy because the wife cannot carry is fine in the first world. however if its some brazilian third world uterus-mill then the exploitation is obviously wrong. that doesnt mean ivf as a whole is wrong. just like surrogacy, foster homes can be run by an evil person trying to siphon money from the government or a truly loving and generous person.

both scenarios can be good solutions for everyone involved and they can also be exploited by bad actors.

the inverse situation is a sperm bank and i dont think many people have an ethical bone to pick with those.
