Something that also rubs me the wrong way is Ian’s language, specifically his cussing.

I’m not a prude and I don’t mind swearing when someone is trying to make a point, but he lazily uses an F bomb in almost every sentence.

Worst case scenario, it’s the kind of habitual swearing you see when low IQ people try to put extra words into their sentences. Or best case scenario, It’s the kind of edgy F bombs you see from a teenager to kids he’s trying to impress when the teacher isn’t around.

Ian seems developmentally stunted. Like someone who never really managed to get out of his teens. It’s probably also that part of him that makes him crave his white trash trailer mom: Anita’s affection.
