one thing that no one brought up so far but seems like a hugely obvious point to me: publicly announcing a reason for firing an employee is a big legal no-no.
while there are some reasons you can disclose, it usually involves legal action, and saying anything opens you to litigation, which is why most companies will opt for just confirming that the person no longer works there. even if lex went to the police, their hands would be tied unless dan was convicted, and even then, it's be very stupid of supermega to do anything but confirm he was let go.
therefore, the meat of the accusation, that supermega "covered up" the assault, is simply false. they handled it correctly, at least from the business side of things. the worst that can be said about them is that they pick shitty friends.
i suppose this comes from the fact that everyone involved is an adult toddler who never had to behave professionally or hold down a job.
