I bought one of those overpriced magnesium pwnage mice during black friday cuz it was on sale and fuck it why not? Y'know, the same one LTT failed to review properly because they're retards.
That's Scalfani-tier reviewing. Fuck up because you're too stupid to understand how to use some simple object then give it a bad review.

I see that shit all the time. When I was shopping for monitor arms and saw one got a one star review because the mounting plate didn't fit in the hole in the back of this guy's monitor.

Well I bought it and it fit my monitor fine, then later in I got the exact same type of monitor as that reviewer had and it indeed did not fit. So I did what the manual said and used the included spacers. Amazing what one can accomplish when they actually look at the manual. Glad I ignored that review because it's a fucking great monitor arm.

This video really sticks in my head how sloppy some of their reviewing is:

Anyone with half a brain... or an ability to read the instruction manual... would know not to overtighten the servos. So what does this assclown do? Overtightens the servos. They had the audacity to release this video AND keep it up despite the comments. No editorial check, nothing. When I watched this video I was appalled they released it and made this product look so bad when this anxious clueless idiot fucks up the assembly of this thing. I don't think they issued any type of correction.

And then they're not even cognizant of voltage issues with rechargable batteries vs. normal batteries...

The worst thing is the stupid fucking LTT fanboys praising the video despite being less than informative.

Linus has made it pretty clear the channel is a complete slave to the algorithm. The algorithm places an enormous amount of importance on "engagement". You know, comments and the likes. And do you know what's guaranteed to get you a lot of comments?

Being wrong enough people who know better call you out, but not so wrong the normies notice it.

LTT has no reason to be factual. Nobody on the platform does. Guys like Gamers Nexus do it in spite of the algorithm and are deliberately reducing their growth doing so.

The least they could have done was have a pinned comment on the top. The company responded in the comments and they didn't even deign to like it, pin it, or respond in any way. This company probably sent them this for free to review and they thank them by fucking it up, making it look bad to LTT's retard fans, and then completely blow them off with a correction.

It's amazingly smooth when you take the film off of the PTFE feet on the bottom, WHODA THUNK.
These idiots caused the company to reprint the manual and put multiple large print bold font warnings all over the goddamn place telling people to remove the blue film off of the feet. It still boggles my mind they didn't catch that. It's bright blue film. Who the fuck uses blue mouse feet? It should have been obvious as hell.

Ok rambling rant over I'm going to work.
How are you going with the right click? I bought one for way too much money after Linus' goof crew couldn't figure it out and it's a really nice mouse, but the right click is just borked. Feels very rough, apparently some Reddit people had the same issue and the company lied and said it's "pre-travel". Yeah, ok.

Also be careful with the software, it makes firmware update requests over HTTP which is potentially very insecure. Just open it to configure then close it once you're done.
I'd also go so far to say the wheel is better than the one on the g502x I was using before.
Even when you click it down? Mine felt pretty mushy. Crazy.

They included a note in the box on my mouse that said to remove the film. :story:

I'm using a Keychron M3 mouse now and it's actually really nice and a heck of a lot cheaper. Not as light nor as comfortable as the Pwnage but it doesn't feel mushy at all and the software isn't as retarded. My only complaint is they shipped it with a defective USB-A wireless receiver, but the USB-C one worked fine.

I keep looking at these fancy mice and look back at my intellimouse asking myself "when did we stray so far from the light of God?"
i respect that but i assume you mean the intellimouse 1.1. the true chad uses the intellimouse 1.0. i still have one one hooked up to my ps2 port and i wish i still had my original non-scroll wheel one because it had the best glossy finish and the nice blue-green cable and text. Every time i see some gamer sperg over his expensive shit razer fag mouse i think back to this bad boy and the sweet NMB dome keyboard i used to use on dialup quakeworld megatf and get mad that steve jobs and the industry in general made 'computers for everyone'

(not my photos, this is a 98-era one with the innovative new scroll wheel) orig.jpegs-l1200.jpeg

This is the version i have the fondest memories of straight out of 1995, microsoft mouse 2.0/original intellimouse. Fucking masterpiece of aesthetics and ergonomics. Glossy finish. Subtle off-white coloring. Blue-green accents. Sublime.

No problems here at all, all of the clicks are nice and crisp. I got a boring black one because all of the other ones were sold out. Also black is the cheapest, which is nice. I haven't even felt the need to put the grip tape on, it's nice and grippy as-is.
I haven't messed with the software yet. This is probably the first mouse ever that's basically at my preferred sensitivity right out of the box.

In not sex pest leaf news:

Props to GN for doing something LTT had the resources to do over a year ago. If that entire building had just half the work ethic of Steve's team they could steam roll so much coverage and crush the current written media space. Instead you get zero effort bench marking using a broken automation suite.

Anyone interested in these should get them sooner rather than later. PFAS is getting regulated pretty hard all over the place at this point.

HOW THE FUCK CAN YOU CHARGE 90$ FOR A SCREWDRIVER?!?
It's based on a $20 screwdriver design but I'm willing to bet it does cost them serious money to manufacture as they ship incomplete screwdrivers to Canada for the plastic mold, then send them back to the far east (Taiwan I think? Edit: China. Taiwanese cucked Linus) for final assembly, only to be shipped back to Canada for distribution.
I hate defending this squeaky leaf but he's charging $70 and it's based on the Megapro which lists at $55 but comes on sale close to $35 pretty frequently. The LTT one is also larger and has a modified mechanism from the Megapro. Per testing by Project Farm it had the lowest backlash of all ratcheting screwdrivers tested, including one by PB Swiss which cost $120. Difference being that PB Swiss will stand behind their product while Linus is liek toats liek be toats real and liek warranties are like not legal obligations at all man. Fucking British Colombian scum.

Initially they showed final assembly in Canada. When did they start shipping them back to China? I know they decided that hot pressing the mechanism into the plastic was no longer necessary so are they just shipping a giant pile of handles back to China? I'm also pretty doubtful that there was no performance difference between hot and cold press, just that they wouldn't be noticed and the initial craze to do in depth reviews has past so they can drop quality.

Here's my post on it last year with a screenshot from Linus's Twitter https://kiwifarms.net/threads/linus...ia-group-linus-tech-tips.118806/post-12837183

My memory wasn't 100% on this though, it undergoes final assembly in Canada, but they are shipping an incomplete product to China for assembling the ratchet. The Twitter post mentions hot pressing so if they're no longer doing this then yeah, that information is probably no longer accurate as it was during the early days of the Screwdriver Arc.

I'm not a mouse enthusiast but I wish Microsoft did more premium/gaming mouses(AKA big and with a few buttons) that uses their bluetrack technology. A few years ago I got an MS Mouse 3500 and I never seen a mouse so precise and that works in almost every surface as it. I remember once that I tested it on a clear glass top desk without mousepad and the mouse worked flawlessly.

If microsoft improved the sensor to allow high pooling rates and DPI, it would be a tech way better than the HERO sensor from logitech and similar

I'm surprised there hasn't been a custom mouse scene like keyboards, they really aren't that complicated. All you would need is a shell, pcb, switches and a sensor. Again I have no reason to replace my ec1 since I replaced the main switches on it for another 5-10 years unless I really wanted a new sensor on it.

A 3D printer can help to a certain extent.

I think this is precisely why it's not taking off. There's not much to be done with a computer mouse, meanwhile keyboards allows you to go full autismo. A shame really, i would like to have something like QMK for mice. A bigger variety would be nice too. I would want to buy something more ergo, with good build quality and materials, top of the line sensor and switches, and premium scroll, but there's nothing like this on the market. MX master 3 comes close, but it's still a plastic mouse with office-work tier sensor and low polling rate. Too bad.

If this post isn't an impetus for an enterprising builder to create an excellent computer mouse, then I don't know what is.

Tax write offs, why else does he film so many fucking videos in his house? At what point do his employees revolt? How many more times do they need to do to his house so he can flex on them?

Why is his faggy son wearing a mask?

Turbofaggot leafs still wear masks, I see them like maybe 1 in every 50 people around here.

Especially when they built a whole LAN center in the office.
Linus said in the intro that he invited 100 people to his lan party. I don't think there's enough space in the office one. Which included staff, their S/Os, their friends and kids.
