Here is my read on the court case extension. Court cases typically go one nearly forever. Hell, had Gonzalo opted to keep his trap shut, they probably would have kicked this court case down the road nearly to the end of the war just to not have to deal with any of the political complexities while he enjoyed apartment living.

Yes, the Ukrainians are pissed. He was running his mouth off spouting pro-Russian rhetoric effectively demoralizing any Ukrainians who may have been listening, and may have had a marginal effect in convincing Western audiences that the Ukrainian war was a lost cause. The Ukrainian leadership can't afford this idea to take hold lest Western countries give up funding the Ukrainians and opt to broker a concessionary peace deal.

Gonzalo didn't die early on with the rest of the pro-Russian local government agitators just because he is a US passport holder. But the Biden administration hates this white male and doesn't want to save his neck either.

The safest route to take is to keep him imprisoned until the war is over. If that includes just kicking the court case can down the road, then so be it. He can't be let loose to serve as a bad example to any other Ukrainian citizens who might also think to run their mouths about the futility of their situation.

The prosecution doesn't really have a strong case. But they are in the middle of a hot war. Their men are dying. Whatever traditional methods law and order went out the window once the bodies started hitting the ground. The prosecutors and judge will do whatever they have to do to keep Ukraine afloat.

They are in the middle of the road. Lira isn't really all that important to them outside of just getting him to shut up. They may kick the can down the road until the end of the war, or eventually give him a "time served" and expulsion order from Ukraine.

Keeping Lira in jail AND in limbo best serves Ukraine's interests since Lira couldn't keep his mouth shut in his apartment like a good little boy.

What I love most about this situation are all of the videos Gonzalo Lira did extorting the wonders of living in countries with rampant corruption at all levels. From the cops to the bureaucratic administrators to the judges to the government officials of all stripes. The perfect place for any white Western man to hide out from all of the antiwhite antimale antichristian hatred. We all should have moved to Ukraine to join Gonzalo's enclave.

Yet there sits Gonzalo Lira. In jail. Getting the shit beat out of him and extorted. Without bail. Claims he has $100k in his paypal account alone, being many many many times the average annual salary of just about anyone he meets. With all of his money. With all of this corruption. He somehow seems unable to pull the levers of power to get himself released.

He couldn't even get himself across any of the thousands of miles of borders and sea escapes. He couldn't even bribe a boarder guard. He couldn't even pay off a trucker to sneak him out. No border guide. No ship captain. Not even a motor boat over to Poland. Or some SCUBA gear. Or a day at the beach with a kick board. He couldn't pay off a cop. He can't arrange with his lawyer to pay off the judge. Or the prosecutor. He can't even get himself kicked out of the country.

Gonzalo's "corrupt" utopia has brought him nothing.

It didn't help that he posted that he was going to try to escape to his social media like a giant sped.

Because he could have done any of that shit. He chose to be a retard instead.

He made himself too high profile: corruption tends to prosper when there’s less transparency. He made that video saying he was fleeing the country and his case, they can’t just let that go. They need to make an example of him. He would’ve been better off shutting up, bribing someone to get him on a ship or in a truck, and got out of the country. If he could just leave and nothing happened others could see that and the whole corrupt political apparatus wouldn’t be able to shake people down like they have.

Here is the youtube channel of Gonzolo Lira Valdes Sr, his father. He has uploaded 4 videos of interviews he did. He makes occasional comments to The Facts Hunter's youtube videos.

No new videos or interviews in the past 2 months. I would have expected him to vocalize more updates, or to be able to obtain more information about the court process in Ukraine.

That's assuming his intention was to escape. The videos he posted before his failed escape attempt seemed more like publicity stunts than a real message to the world that "The Ukrainian government is corrupt or whatever." Maybe he thought that with enough international pressure from his youtube buddies like the Duran, the SBU "nazi secret police" would release him.

CRP has an extremely large ego. He needed to do this by himself because he'd be able to tell the world "I escaped from Ukraine". It wasn't enough for him to say "I escaped, with help".
