In this episode, we go back to the “guy that will kill you” hypothetical.
They predict the exact major plot twist of the end of the game at around 14 minutes in. This game is such dogshit that I genuinely can't believe that the developers who published it aren't ashamed enough to commit seppuku.

Square Enix has published far, far more embarrassing things. Why, it's a part of why they're Square Enix and not Squaresoft, in fact.
Such as publishing shit like Life is Strange, A Quiet Man, etc., buying Eidos/CD properties and ruining Thief and Tomb Raider, and them selling NFTs. Squeenix is still losing money as of right now

As much as I hate LiS, it's financially successful as far as properties go.
But I'm talking about why the company is Square Enix and not Squaresoft:
Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within

(This isn't entirely true, as Square was in talks to merge before this movie's release, but the colossal failure that was this movie gave them a weaker bargaining position thereafter.)

Still, just Squeenix as a whole is complete shit. That's the point I'm trying to make

Why would they? Their games getting fuck tons of attention "for the memes" from people who claim to hate it. It's like the people who hate watched the room or thought it was "so bad it's good" which just boosted the popularity of it. And considering it's not a broken mess, just badly written and cliche, no Press is bad Press. I'd be fucking over the moon if a slew of youtube goofs spent hours of their life memeing my game to millions of people collectively. Just means there's more people likely to buy it because they're retarded to see it for themselves first hand

I think that there is a difference between a movie like the Room, and a videogame when it comes to memeing it. A movie costs significantly less to buy, while a game like Forespoken would cost upwards of 60 dollars, which very few people are going to spend just to play a bad video game.

The runtime is also significantly longer for a video game, which means you have to sit there, and slog through a bad game for potentially around 50 hours, with only a few good moments of funny stuff. With a movie it's a relatively short experience.

So I doubt that the Forespoken developers have seen any sort of significant increase in sales.

sorry to be debbie downsyndrome but these last couple vids (robocop and the newest forspoken one) are not to my taste. it's just Da Boys free-associating and riffing abstractly over gameplay footage, like those old autistic leafy vids where he'd run vidya to give people something to look at while he talked.

tomar is a bad/lazy game-player who doesn't learn or try things, which makes robocop frustrating, and forspoken just a bad game-- idk i like a higher level of engagement-with or reaction-to the gameplay than we've been getting recently

I feel like they are just kinda coasting right now, we seem to be in-between the big series and no signs of OneySleighs yet, I kinda imagine it will be like this until the new year. At the very least its not another 12 Corey Videos.

They didn't seem to know that Robocop Rogue City is actually a quality game with the same satirical tone as the first two Robocop movies and not some shovelware movie adaptation. The video was still entertaining but I was hugely disappointed that Tomar didn't at least once tried to shoot a enemy in the dick.
