Jirard Khalil / The Completionist / ThatOneVideoGamer - Obsessive Compulsive Autist involved in a $780k case of charity fraud

Are we really supposed to believe that now, after nearly ten years, coincidentally, that the money was finally ready for donation?
That’s the best part. If his lawyers curated that video, their only legal strategy is “lie more, just keep lying, don’t stop”.

I think Jirard may have gave the IRS more ammo. He may have possibly scammed them by filing for an excise tax extension, and then filed to go to a public charity, but never fully transitioned. They still filed as a 990-PF, therefore they are on the hook for those excise taxes. But if they do still want to be a public charity and file a 990, well that’s even crazier, because you have to fill complete expense reports in full detail. He also told on himself taking out expenses and then filing the deductions as gross revenue. That is very, very illegal. He is supposed to report gross revenue and then report the expenses to get a final net revenue. He basically admitted to not reporting some expenses. He’s unbelievably dumb for saying that, and he must have shit-tier Lebanese lawyers working for him.

It reads to me as “there are only 3 possible scenarios to explain the golf charity money, and one is definitely fraud”. Which is a big step from his blind defense of Jirard. He did not even look at the filings before writing his essay in defense of Jirard, and now he’s like “maybe I shouldn’t rely on others to relay me information.”
No. Like I said, Lilwooley is retracting his previous statements where he implied it could be a scam. He's worried about the lawsuits and demands apologies from Jirard's haters.
LOL.

Welp, for a moment I thought he was going to break out of the cuck shed but I guess the temptation of sucking Jirards cock was too much for Lil Wooley
Probably got scared of being threatened with legal action so he went back on his hands and knees. Which is the whole point of Jirard mentioning legal action to begin with, hoping it'll scare people away from covering this story any further, which is dumb AF.

So like.....can he be found guilty in court? He's so confident and I fear maybe bribes and stuff will happen.
Bribe who? Insanely rich people and companies get away with shit because they hire enough lawyers and accounts to prevent crap like IRS investigations in the first place. Whenever you get articles about "long established mega corporation avoids paying half billion in taxes" it's not because they bribed the government. It's because they paid lobbyists years prior to bribe congress to set exemptions, and then paid their legal and accounting teams more money than most could ever possibly afford to account for every penny being in one of those exemptions.

I can imagine Charles Khalil slipping the IRS agents snacks, candies, and monster energy drinks with a subtle wink

Jirard got violated by the community notes:

The youtube link at the bottom goes to mutahars video
Community Notes is the best feature Twitter ever came up with. It's not remotely surprising no other social media platform has implemented it because it makes it way too easy to instantly dismantle narratives, with receipts.
I love how half assed and haphazardly he makes his videos. He is not good at his job, at all. The only thing that makes these videos so effective is how worse Jirard was at his job. Even a retard like Muta can BTFO Jirard just by pointing out simple things
I really wish Karl had done the job himself, his videos are way more meticulously put together, probably because he's a massive autist like all speedrunners. Having said that, Muta's video is doing numbers, so if it gets the word out about Jirard's bullshit then I guess it's all good.

You think that's bad? Mutahar's video about Jirard's response has more views.

Can we all just take a moment, step back, and consider how ridiculous this is. Rather than talk like normal human beings, people just do "reponse video" and then someone else posts "response to response video." Etc. It's never ending. This is "content" today: Just a bunch of YouTubers endlessly responding to each other. A whole slough of videos in channels about a bunch of drama everyone will forget about next month.

I really hate that this is the bulk of what YouTube is. People used to talk about real stuff. Now all people talk about is other YouTubers.

I doubt that the Khalil have that kind of pull.

Basically fighting against the IRS is a huge waste of money, since they have lawyers on retention 24-7 whose career depend on fucking you. Most of the time it’s easier just to plead and take the fine or a few months in jail.

I have a feeling that Khalil may not have been super closely involved in this scam though. Basically his father and siblings pulled some carpet salesman tricks on the dumb Americans, pocketing the cash and thinking they were too slick to get caught.

Khalil was tangentially involved in the charity, but just let the family handle it.
He knew that sis/bro got a huge undeserved paycheck, but basically stayed out of the nitty gritty.

There was probably some feuding going on behind the scenes, when he realized how much of a grift, and possible damage to his own brand it was, which would explain the huge delay in releasing any statement.

If you really think about it that's all forum posting is, just in text format. Admittedly, the financial incentive to make them makes your average response video even more meaningless than any troll's shitpost.

I wasn't saying they had that kind of pull(my comment was a reply to someone concerned about bribes). The family obviously has money, but they don't have THAT kind of money. And yeah, it seems Jirard himself was letting the family run the charity while he kept screwing around with the video game stuff, but that isn't going to matter to the IRS with his named and face attached to it(maybe for getting a lighter sentence if things actually do go that far).

the financial incentive

That's another good point. It's never altruistic. It makes me laugh when these people act like they're morally outraged at folks like Jirard because, in the end, it's all just clout-chasing on their end as well. Ultimately, this stuff will probably all go to court, right? So anything leading up to that is all just ambulance chasing.

I somewhat realized this given the length of Mutahar's videos. He says a whole lot in about half and hour, but all people really needed was that skype call. But he needs to inflate his content for the YT algorithm, so he rambles on and on. It's manipulative and stupid. Thank God KF makes everything concise.

I agree, he could have shortened the video and cut out a lot of shit. He needs an editor and a hair comb.

seems to be working for him though

It's the cult of personality stuff that irritates me. I just want information, I don't want to develop a parasocial relationship with anyone. I hate YT because they always incentivize people to do this shit. It can never be as simple as giving you an update, they have to package it in, "Hello, ladies and gentleman, welcome back!" sort of way.

I dunno, it feels like YouTube reply guys have been a sizeable amount of the platform for forever. The commentary community, in its various incarnations, was always just he said she said endless clapbacks with zero minds changed and no substance.

I agree it's annoying, but if the tea's good I'll still enjoy it.
