Does end of the world media appeal mainly to trannies and dead eggers?

I say trannies and dead eggers but it can apply to basically every person who irreversibly fucked his life. End of the world media basically resets everything to zero, whether the world truly ends and everybody dies or there'll be some small scale survival, people's mistakes no longer matter and they can feel validated in focusing on their own happiness while burning bridges.

Isn't this just part of a greater trend of media where the protagonist travels to a different, fantastical world? See The Matrix, any zombie movie, etc. The world ending is just a stand-in for some life-changing catastrophe.

I don't really see the correlation. Granted I've noticed a good amount of them flock to that type of stuff, though that might be because they're more likely to be enthusiasts of consooming.

Apocalyptic narratives have been popular for many, many years. Besides, its fun to imagine how you and your buddies could survive (or die.)
This. It has broad appeal, and the appeal is increasing across the political spectrum for different reasons.

Now let me tell you about the isekai genre and incels...

Dead eggers? Well my mom had three kids and she was still into this stuff.

When people talk about the end of the world they really mean the end of man. Few of these scenarios end in the Earth being completely obliterated. The Earth can and will move on without us. We actually aren't that big of a deal to the ecosystem running smoothly.

Apocalyptic scenarios are not tied to one group of people more than another. Some of them are extreme or retarded. Like end of the world cults and preachers and con artists who just want your money. But if you look back at all the media created about it, it's pretty diverse. I think you are reading too many biased sources. Because the apocalypse has always appealed to a broad spectrum. Trannies just like to claim everything as theirs because it help keeps the 41% feels at bay.

That's the heroes journey though. A bit more literal than most examples, but the story of the common man taken from the world he knew and thrust into a new word (literal or figurative) has been the core of story telling since practically the beginning.

People have been contemplating the end of the world since before the Bible. The thought of the apocalypse has and will continue to haunt humanity until we're actually raptured.

Unless you're talking specifically about idiots who don't get the consumerist aesthetic of the Fallout games is supposed to be a joke, there's a ton of different perspectives that are worth writing about in regards to the end of life as we know it.

End of the world stories are just a speed skip in time. Civilization as you know it, will end before the sun burns out. Be it war, diseases, government dystopia, it will happen. It has happened over and over again.

Trannies will not survive an era where only useful people who can rebuild are needed. So short of the idiocy of the Last of us 2, I haven't seen this phenomenon, except the extra crazy ones who wish all straight people dead, which would be a human ending event. You can't rebuild a population with 99 men and one woman, but you can with 99 woman and one man.

considering gender fuckery was common at the end of a lot of failed civs, the concepts are certainly tied together. I don't think it will be end of the world but rather them trying to take as many of us down with them.

I thought this was only a thing in the Roman Empire, and almost exclusively regarding gays/polyamory as opposed to crossdressing and trans shit. Where else did it crop up?

Post apocaliptic and grim dark fantasy appeals to slavs too (and me) , opression and hopelessness is relatable to living in a dead end hellhole. Just look at slavjank games (stalker, pathologic, fear and hunger, darkwood, etc)

Despite the forced memes, no, New Vegas and Dark Souls is not "Transcore" and you should not play into it associating things everyone likes with just trannies.

Trannies like everything that male nerds like because they are male nerds. Post apocaliptic media involves strugling and overcoming very extreme odds and enduring the worst case scenario and a lot of men find that appealing, going from zero to gigachad in the middle of apocaliptic hell is a kind of male power fantasy.

Not really. End of the world appeals to more practical autists (and preppers, the peak form of practical autists). You have to work with your hands or at least believe you could work with your hands if you really wanted to. You could say they are people who think the modern world is hopeless and want to start anew.

Isekai, however, caters to consoomer autists who don't like the fiction they consoom and want to change it. They're so consoomy that it's fiction (like videogames and visual novels), not reality, that is the source of their dissatisfaction. The wish-fulfilment fantasies are not fulfilling. Reality on the other hand is serviceable enough with a tugboat, Switch, and Doordash.

Slavs have an isekai-like genre, popadanyets fiction, that deals with time-travelling (and possibly body-swapping) to different eras of real-world history and the future: this appeals to post-Soviet revanchists.

According to some DnD producer they don't bring back Dark Sun because its "problematic". A true apocalyptic world with slavery, genocide , racism and unhecking unwholesome things happening is ultimately too much for trannies and wokies to tolerate.

And you can see that whenever the rainbow crowd latches on to a piece of edgy media they remove all the edge from it and redditfied it to be toothless like what has been happening with World of Darkness.
