I love how Boogie starts this whole thing off chatting to Caleb like he's some local real estate guru well-versed in nuances of the market, when he's about to expose just how deeply financially retarded he is. Priceless.
1:50 - Caleb asks what crypto he was in, Boogie talks about an initial ETH investment but I'll note that he doesn't ever end up explaining which shitcoins he supposedly rolled that into.
6:50 - Boogie says he knows not to repeat his crypto mistake, but also that he needs to hire a professional. This is just lip service for Caleb to me, I'll believe it when I see it. If he hasn't done it yet and he claims to be in these dire straits, what makes anyone think he'll suddenly start now?
13:00 - blames the bad stuff he's said on Twitch over the years on his 'very Andy Kaufmanesque character' and growing up on 'Andy Kaufman, Sam Kinnison, Richard Pryor, George Carlin, Andrew Dice Clay'. He doesn't channel any of these comedians, who also all have wildly different styles. Obviously people hate it and Caleb flat out asks him why he does it, cue the awwww shucks 'stupidity' answer. This is a 50 year old man with supposedly decades of therapy, who hasn't managed to figure out how not to be retarded online. Also some of the deadpans and faces Caleb pulls during this episode are pretty funny, he pretty obviously doesn't buy a whole ton of his bullshit.
13:40 - 'If you watch one of my livestreams I mention donations, subs, stuff like that maybe once in a two hour stream' This is objectively bullshit, anyone could just go through his streams and immediately prove it wrong. How about all the 'someone sub before I stop making this noise!' or his 'bits' about needing viewers money, he mentions this shit REGULARLY multiple times a stream.
13:55 - re: employment 'It's less of refusing and more that I just don't know if I could', his real feelings on this are pretty obvious by the end of the episode and he is in fact refusing to go find any kind of other employment.
17:30 - says he isn't going to make it to his mid 60s, all I could think was 'What about the love of your life though?' and was soooooo glad to hear Caleb immediately grill him about how Dezi is supposed to survive once he's gone. Boogie starts trying to obfuscate about her severe social anxiety and being the person who she needs but Caleb redirects him asking straight up 'what does this have to do with leaving her anything?'.
He replies "If I left her destitute, my plan is to still leave her better off than she was.', sorry but what the fuck does this even mean? Apparently it means that as long as Boogie 'gets her out in the world, get her the experience she needs (???), get her working when she's ready, get her an education when she's ready.' Caleb makes the obvious fucking point that they could just not shove fast food down their throat three times a day and leave her with an actually tenable financial situation or god forbid some actual savings. Also who is he kidding, how is he going to get her into school when she's taking care of him and the home? The amount of care she's responsible for is only going up from here, there's no less in her future.
Next he says they've had conversations and that she's not with him for the money, huh? So he sat her down and was like 'Honey, we could change our diets and habits and extend my life for a number of years while improving our finances and inevitably YOUR finances... or we could still order out dozens of times a week for the foreseeable future, I'll die sometime in my 60s leaving you basically to move back home or into some kind of shelter with no real skills or employment future. Soooo are you thinking what I'm thinking? The first one, right?' Boogie just said that he's supposed to be the person guiding her who he needed at her age, only he's steering her off a fucking cliff (or into a hotel room).
As far as I'm concerned he's basically flat out admitting that he isn't going to leave Dezi in any kind of good financial spot, but that because he helped her with her anxiety issues (lol) he's left her in better condition than he met her in and that pretty much absolves him of any guilt for using her like a young retarded fuckmaid in the present day.
20:20 - claims he has a new roommate 'helping a little bit here and there' and that Chad has 'finally been able to kick in a little bit as well'. Yeah I don't fucking buy it for a second, sorry. Boogie has these people doing all the chores and cooking he can't or doesn't want to do, AND he's charging them rent now suddenly on top of it? Why wouldn't he disclose how much they're paying between the two of them..? This privacy excuse is flimsy AF.
22:15 - Caleb mentions that he doesn't have Boogie's 'full financial history over the last few years', this to me just means that Boogie filled in some columns based on his word and whatever situation we see in front of us here is actually worse than it appears.
24:45 - talks about mushrooms and DMT, it's interesting to me how he isn't shit-talking his DMT experience here. Previously he has talked about how weak it was and how the profound ego death he supposedly had while doing it wasn't really the real thing,
25:00 - Caleb tries his darndest to get Boogie to let go of the past and excuses, but this is like asking water not to be wet. It's essentially impossible, and this is immediately demonstrated because @
26:00 - Boogie immediately brings up the past as an excuse while Caleb gives him a 10/10 deadpan.
26:45 - making pre-emptive excuses already 'if i can keep my foot out of my mouth', this is a fucking 50 year old man we're talking about here not some clueless teenager.
28:16 - 'old boogie, a year ago, the egotistical umm self-centered extremely defensive man. considerably' talking about how drastically he's changed. Caleb does not look convinced LOL
28:32 - Caleb/Mike invited boogie, he didn't seek this show out himself.
29:40 - Leo cost boogie FIVE GRAND, he dropped 5k on a sugar baby for the dog. Not only that he took out a loan to pay it while supposedly have 180k in the bank, like what the fuck is going on here?
30:30 - Doctor 'insisted he look into getting an adjustable bed', yeah I'm sure that was the biggest takeaway they wanted Boogie to leave with. Not anything like exercising or dieting to lose the weight that is the root cause of all of his health problems, go home and get a loan for a bed you can't afford!
32:18 - he tries to claim his new iphone was 'free' with trade-in of his old phone, this has already been debunked in the thread and is common sense anyways. Of course he's still on the hook for the remaining balance of the phone.
34:15 - laughing like this, does this look like someone who is actually concerned about their finances? This is the face of someone with massive anxiety and PTSD, who is facing a desperate financial situation yeah okay. Steven has a lot more socked away in his cards and other shit than he lets on, it would explain a lot of what doesn't seem to make sense.
36:03 - less than 1k in his chequing account, but 8 grand in his crypto account so plenty of liquid breathing room IMO.
36:54 - He is back on test, mumbled hundred dollars a month for it's cost. Can anyone understand what number he said here? Hey, isn't the test what supposedly gave him cancer? Oh, and he's back on it again? Got it.
36:58-42:00 A list of the fast food/eating out purchases he's made in less than halfway through a month: McDonalds, Papa John's, Starbucks, McDonalds, Chicfila' within a couple days. 'lots of Starbucks, Tokyo House very expensive' supposedly a business dinner. 'Arby's, Burger King, lots of Amazon and Panda Express.' 'Starbucks, Starbucks, Burger King, Starbucks, Dominos'
Caleb asks him the magic question and who else is SHOCKED that Boogie is still 400lbs? Simply incredible how he's able to maintain that specific weight, especially given his diet.
42:45 - Caleb gets serious and nails down Boogie's eating/ordering out habits to 2-3 times a day plus regular dinners out (Golden Corral, Tokyo House, etc.) supposedly for business or to pay his roommates? Sure Boogie, whatever you say.
44:20 - 'let's call it at that point $600 a month on food' FOR THREE PEOPLE, two of whom look like you? Yeah fucking right, this is so fucking funny. You can see boogie trying to lead the audit narrative a bit at this point, but that's Caleb's job and he gets right on it.
45:45 - now Chad doesn't get paid $1500 a month but instead still does the chores and work that Boogie can't, only now he contributes to rent and is reimbursed with occassional sandwiches. This is outright laughable to me, it just sounds so ridiculous.
48:55 - talking shit about how he doesn't even really like Leo, what the actual fuck? That poor dog got such a raw deal, Boogie only bought him as a hostage so that sugarbaby would keep HAMSing him. Once she had enough he kept the puppy out of spite and straight up neglected him, you can tell how poorly trained he is and it's not his fault even one little bit. Boogie is a fucking piece of shit pet owner, period. Again trying to rewrite history here.
51:42 - the $1000CD from the documentary explained, it's for his secured credit card. Why the fuck does this guy have a secured credit card with all that income...? He thought he was getting some sick low interest rate on it only for...
53:25 - Caleb bursts his bubble, his CC interest is actually 24% which is not 'low' by any means.
54:29 - Boogie asks for credit for paying bills on time... only they literally discussed the late charges from THIS MONTH earlier.
55:00 - 'I feel so happy and secure that I CAN PAY MY BILLS' "You can't" 'No they are getting paid' "No, not the credit card" 'That's true'. This bit actually had me LOLing.
56:34 - Boogie 'can't' set aside 30% for taxes
57:10 - Caleb asks if last years taxes are on a payment plan and Boogie answers 'I owe them about $2200'... Uhhh that's not an answer to the question, but at the same time I guess it is and Boogie is NOT on a plan yet.
1:00:00 Dezi comes up and Boogie says they're 'working on' getting her working. He goes on to say 'the one thing she's NOT doing is bringing income in, but she's costing pretty much nothing going out', what happened to his claim that she has an income stream from her family business...? So that was a fucking lie. Also how could she possibly cost nothing? Anything Boogie pays to go and do is immediately doubled, not to mention how does her daily marijuana habit get paid for? Who does he think he's kidding?
1:01:00 $222USD a month on his phone, HOW??? I thought the US had some of the cheapest rates possible?
1:01:20 - such sweet karma, the truth about real cost of his iphone comes out, of course it wasn't free you fucking retard.
1:02:40 - one of the roommates cooks for boogie and dezi as long as they can eat as well for free, so he's paying for 3 peoples groceries so they can dogfuck together while a third roommate cooks for them? What happened to Dezi doing everything, why can't she can't learn to cook from youtube?
1:22:25 - Boogie brags about driving 'cross-country with an injury' to be on the show, remember this fucking guy is walking around on a walker right now LOL.
1:22:22 - Caleb desperately trying to get through to boogie 'you have to stop, it's you stop or you die in poverty'. Boogie actually looks ANGRY to me here, like he's mad at caleb for being blunt and honest about his situation
1:24:10 - 'I'm putting in like a good 40 hour work week' This guy is soooo out of touch with what actual work is, Caleb immediately counters with "if we're struggling that should be 60-80" 'Yeah that's fair, yeah'. Boogie wouldn't know what a 60 hour work week looked or felt like if it took him under the kitchen table and roughly jerked him off.
1:25:00 - 'Yeah but are they also disabled?' More excuses but BOOGIE IS NOT DISABLED, maybe he qualified for it at one point but that's not a lifetime designation. He's been supporting himself (and others) for years at this point, this excuse doesn't wash or mean anything at all. The government surely isn't going to give a fuck when he's forced to go through the reapplication process only to get denied.
1:26:38 - says he can't get literally ANY other job, he really does think he is some terminally unique snowflake. He would seem a lot more authentic if he didn't take such a far end of the spectrum black or white stance on this, it's obvious he's just lazy when he says shit like this.
1:27:08 - tries to say that after his probation ends he'll have to spend thousands of dollars on getting his felony 'sealed'. We've already seen all the court docs and know this is total bullshit, it will happen automatically once he's finished probation. He's just openly lying to get out of having to face any kind of real employment, business as usual.
1:28:17 - he actually gets snarky with Caleb 'Well when I'm being told by professionals that I'm totally unemployable and literally zero jobs exist for me, I listen to the professionals' What an actual bitch, surely it has nothing to do with the fact that it enables you to continue sitting on your fat ass shovelling Arby's down your throat day after day. Remember this is in reference to the one employment agency interview that he treated like a 'Kaufman bit' and totally fucked up, i flat out refuse to believe he has met with other employment agencies as his ego wouldn't have allowed him not to tweet about getting asspats for trying to improve his life.
1:29:20 - claims he's applied for roughly a dozen jobs in the last year, Caleb correctly calls this out as this being half an hour's work on LinkedIn. This is how you know how insanely out of touch he is with todays job market, 12 applications is literally nothing. Most job-seekers can bang that out before lunchtime, takes a full year for Steven though!
1:30:30 - Boogie is basically in open revolt against any possibility of any employment other than continuing to upload the same youtube content he always has, and the podcast kind of takes a weird turn/dynamic. Boogie is getting visibly bothered by Caleb banging on him having to work at all, even a part time job. 'I'd rather put that into youtube and my own business' yeah but you WON'T or you ALREADY would have.
1:31:55 - 'It's never come across my table' is a repeated theme from boogie, he says the same thing about 'Well if a job crossed my lap that paid me the same I'd take it'. Yeah that's not how life or employment works, things don't just manifest themselves suddenly in your lap. He obviously despises this simple fact but he has to go out there and WORK to FIND IT.
1:36:20 - "What's your plan?" 'I plan to throw myself into my existing businesses' AKA he's going to change literally nothing and simply hope that more money starts landing in his pocket somehow.
1:37:05 - Caleb finally brings up what is actually Boogie's best option, selling the house and moving into a cheaper 1br somewhere with just him and Dezi. Caleb's potential budget makes sense for the average person but it doesn't take into account who boogie is as a person (AKA the B-Factor), he ISN'T going to make these positive changes so the best move is to just make what he has last as long as possible. That house is never getting paid off anyways, what a joke.
