Nothing is important and you don't care about what happen to the characters (if they were likeable) since it'll be changed or erased the next chapters anyway. But really, it's silly that people continue to have this, "don't criticize the artist/writer 'cause it's not your work" attitude these days. People just blindly rationalizing Biff's sudden gender change, without much question? This may work on DeviantArt, but in reality, this is simply not the good attitude to have when you're dealing with art or writing as a serious thing, and PK's refusal to accept criticism maturely and with an open mind really says something about her skills as a popular writer and artist: that, quite frankly, she's not really a good one at all. At least, not anymore.

Like forget about her art for a second. She's doing almost everything they teach you in story planning and world building wrong. You don't make it up as you go like this--you have to plan. Writing as you go only works when you're still brainstorming. You still have to go back and take pointless stuff out--stuff that has nothing to do with the plot. When you're writing a story or (sometimes) doing art, and you're releasing it to the public for people to enjoy, you ought to know where this is going. People don't want to shift through your filler because you don't know where the story is going end.

For some parts, yes it's important that you write for yourself, but you still have to go back and get rid of the pointless fluff in it, because I can guarantee you that a good 10% of what you put down on paper at first may not be all that important to the plot itself.

And you can't just do things like sudden gender/sex changes on a whim and get defensive and hostile when people are confused.

So, like, PK doesn't seem to have any real respect for her fans, her characters, or the story she's writing those characters in, if she feels the desperate need to randomly change a character's gender just to prove a point or something.

I'm glad PK stopped with the reference sheets. They turned out to be mostly useless fluff and update padding. We haven't seen any of the feral animals from like "Casca's Journal" anywhere in the actual comic (unless I overlooked one). The only time the Turftigers were really used after their debut was in porn.

I've not paid enough attention to this portion of PK's lolcowness, so I'm curious, has Katy always been this much of a PK-cocksucker or is this some sort of recent development? I know she defended PK in the Pengo drama, but that whole thing, from what I gathered, also had Pengo to blame, so it would make sense.

Like, I know they're friends and stuff, but, I don't know, this feels a little too much. Or perhaps they indeed do share the same mentality/beliefs, and I just never really cared enough about Katy to know her better.

Seriously man. Why do you need more trans and female representation in a comic that's essentially 100% of that. Now I see why she slobbers down SU's dick so much. She probably thinks it's the pinnacle of representation but nevermind the other 8 gorillion shows/books/comics/movies that focus solely on women/lesbians. Nah, we need them representation bux. There's only so much people can take with this bullshit before they bail. The confusing story has already driven so many people away thanks to the testimony of these nice new people. The characters are just unlikable and just makes you want to see them just get completely shat on. Her attitude is just corrosive it might as well have a danger sign on it. But what kills me the most is that she doesn't give a rat's ass about any opinions on her "story". Things that could make it, you know, better. Not the best comparison, but it reminds me of what Marvel comics has done in recent years, instead of making more superheroes, who are women, black, gay, etc. they just replace existing heroes with them. It's just lazy writing. Your character's gender, race, and sexuality doesn't matter compared to their personality or how they affect the reader.

Somewhere down in the comments it's "explained," (I didn't look very long to see if the person was an official or just some fan making a guess, hence the quotation marks) that the title is gender neutral. So, no "Marquise".

I absolutely agree about this bizarre new "safe space" thing when it comes to art and storytelling that whiny babies these days try to pull. Reasonable or constructive critique shouldn't be policed and it DEFINITELY shouldn't be CENSORED, which is exactly what PK and her fuck boys are constantly trying to do. Hell. With Flora, it hardly EVER is critique, but mostly just people admitting that they're completely fucking lost or confused.
